This is one of the best boutique hotels I have stayed at so far. It is in an old 18th century building but was recently renovated. The decour, the choice of colours (loved the royal blue with white), the finishing, the attention to detail - everything was superb. Our room faced the inner garden that added to the beauty of the place. The bed was super comfortable, there was also slippers and robes for the guests. The staff was very nice, helpful and responsive. When I am in Bath again, I will definitelystay in Kennard again!

There was no iron in the room but I am sure there should be some arrangements in place for ironing. I never asked about them as I didn't need it much.

Team members were very pleasant & friendly throughout our stay. Perfect location to stroll into the city centre, couple of mins walk onto pulteney bridge, parking nearby was a few minutes walk. Lots of breakfast options & was tasty, highly recommended place to stay.

If you struggle with stairs, request a lower level room. It was like walking to narnia to our room ( top level). This also meant the Internet signal was poor & unable to connect to the TV, it didnt bother us but worth a mention.

Fabulous stay at the Kennard Hotel - we wanted to be as close to Bath Central as possible, and they can't offer more - 5 minute walk into the main parts we wanted to go to. Love the fact that the rooms offer free hand made biscuits, an array of different teas and coffees, lovely hand soap and shampoos, a proper hairdryer, and even more - a robe and slippers to wear whilst you are there. We stayed in room 12 and as we are used to a super king bed, the small double room was a bit of a squeeze, but still comfortable. Very small shower room too, but again, clean, did the job, so we were very happy. Guests were all very considerate and quiet, the honesty bar was adequately stocked, and the staff were so friendly. The breakfast was Delightful! A real spread of healthy cereals, fruit, as well as lovely coffee options and so many choices on the main menu too for breakfast. Cannot say a negative thing about the Kennard....oh, whilst not their fault due to location - parking close by was a bit of a pain as it was no return in two hours so we had to move the car to make it work. Not their fault, but just a pain for us.

The location of The Kennard was within walking distance to the main part of Bath. The breakfast was excellent (fruit, pastries, yogurt, egg choices, toast etc.) and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Our room was small, but well appointed and very clean.

Our room was at the top of the hotel which required walking up at least five flights of stairs since there is no elevator. It was not an inconvenience for us, but should be noted for others who might find stairs with luggage difficult. Our room was warm (due to the abnormally high temperatures England was experiencing) and the fan provided was helpful.

Such a lovely small hotel, located about a 7 minute walk from the city centre. Relaxing back garden, wonderful staff, and I loved the honesty bar!

It is a rather old building so sound carries a bit. A warning that if you stay in room 11, it’s right next to reception so don’t expect to sleep in unless you’re a heavy sleeper.

The quality of the bed linen was superb. You just sank into the bed. I loved it. The whole hotel sparkled and the staff were very welcoming. And it's also worth mentioning the wonderful breakfasts, which were included.

The hotel was advertised as having free parking. However in the interim between booking and arriving, Bath council (in its wisdom) withdrew parking vouchers. This WASN'T a problem once I'd worked out I could get cheap parking at Morrisons. But I felt sorry for the hotel since this will clearly put off clients when it shouldn't. There is good parking nearby, but you don't go to Bath for easy parking. It's the law

Good system for late check in... although we didn't actually see any staff at all until breakfast time, felt fully supported and in contact. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice decor, felt very Bath-like and traditional . Honesty bar a sweet touch. Fantastic location. Good breakfast in a lovely bright and airy breakfast room.

Room was tiny, bathroom almost unusably so. I'd stay here again but not in the tiny downstairs room. Maybe other rooms are larger.

They've upgraded our room for free due to celebrating my birthday that weekend. The breakfast was fantastic, and all the staff were amazing and very helpful. The area was pretty good, quite central and within short walking distance of all attractions. The room was pretty big and I appreciated all the toiletries which were from The White Company :-)

Due to Bath having a clean air structure now, there was no parking onsite. The shortest parking we found was a 15 minutes walk from the hotel

Staff was superb. Friendly and helpful. Location was excellent, few short blocks from Abbey and Baths. We were able to walk with loads of luggage from bus and rail stations. Breakfast here was wonderful and the room was lovely.

Had to haul all our luggage up 3 flights of stairs, but too bad....that can't be helped. The young ladies at reception did volunteer to do it for us, but we wouldn't allow that!
