Stand out for me was the check in staff were so helpful and really friendly! Nothing seemed like a bother for them when asked, which was great and really welcoming. Especially Jodie from start to finish was so helpful! All the staff were actually great and friendly when dealing with them. The hotel bar is stunning and great drinks & food ! A really great stay so thank you all.

I know it was a bank holiday weekend and it was the Sunday of the Marathon, however we kept getting moved in the bar before we were due to leave for our train. I recommend maybe putting down reserved signs on the tables that are reserved, and if you move a group from one reserved table and see them going to sit at another (as it has no reserved signs) maybe inform them before they sit down, order a round of drinks and then are drinking their drinks that that table is also in fact reserved. Now the manager who came to tell us was extremely lovely and nice to deal with.

Very nice decor and overall atmosphere was fab! Really good location, so handy to get to everywhere in Belfast centre. Food and cocktails are lovely, even if you’re not staying in the hotel, definitely worth going for a meal and drinks! Room was spacious, bed very comfortable and the bathroom was fab! All shower products were from Rituals which was such a nice touch as they smelled amazing!

Receptionist a bit snappy when we were checking in but never saw the same woman again after that, our room was very warm at night but it was unusually humid weather when we stayed

The hotel is really pretty with a bar, restaurant and club attached. If it had been a weekend day such as Friday or Saturday, it would've been nice to check it out! We didn't pay for the breakfast so I cannot speak to that but the breakfast attendant was very friendly and made us very nice double espressos! The room was clean and nice.

The window was broken so it was really drafty in the room. The mattress also wasn't a proper king mattress but rather two mattresses put together. This made for a large sinkhole in the middle of the bed. The mattress was also a bit too soft and not in the nice pillowtop or memory foam kind of way. Perhaps it was an old mattress? Not sure but it was a little too soft for us.

Location is fantastic and the bar area comfortable with great decor and atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent but could have been included in the price. Staff were very cheerful and helpful

The bathroom had a problem with the drains and was very smelly. The room was adequate but not as good as I hoped for the money I paid. The neighbouring flats can see straight in to the bedroom so I had to keep the curtains closed, and there was barely enough light to read a book, I had to slip the lampshade off the sidelight

Interior design is lovely and a bit different, which we really liked. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. We had bath robes and Rituals toiletries are also included, which is a lovely touch. There was fresh bottled water in the room each day too. The bar area is comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast was fab each morning and all staff are really helpful, warm and friendly. Really close to the beautiful Botanic Gardens and the brilliant Ulster Museum.

We would have liked a kettle in addition to the coffee/water machine to make tea but not that big a deal really.

Pillows and bed was very comfortable. Shower set up/space was nice. Hairdryer was decent. Popular bar area, nice decor. Nepalese restaurant across the street with good hospitality and food. Receptionist was very polite and friendly when we arrived. All staff we encountered were friendly.

Dark hallways but I think that is a look they are going for, so that is personal preference. Paint/decor finish was messy. Bathroom needs a thorough clean in shower and toilet area, but can see how they missed things given the low lighting everywhere. No secondary lock on door, which is not great for safety. Poor lighting in mirror area for seeing to hair/makeup.

Firstly the staff at this property were absolutely fantastic! So welcoming, fun and bubbly. They made us laugh and made our holiday that extra bit special. The venue is a perfect place to stay. It’s in walking distance or a short taxi drive from live entertainment venues and shops in the centre. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal at the hotel, the restaurant and bar is beautifully decorated. The food was exceptional! The hotel room was beautiful, really comfy and we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed visiting the empire laughs back for evening entertainment. It was right opposite the hotel! Perfect!

So convenient to get to, right across the road from the train station, central location (we were able to walk to The Waterfront). The hotel bar is so pretty, with the blossom on the ceiling-could have sat here all day (almost did!!) in fact the decor throughout the hotel is gorgeous, very vintage chic. The room was great, large comfortable bed, coffee machine (much needed the next morning) and a huge shower along with luxury toiletries (great touch too were the dental and shaving kits). We ate in the bar that evening, fabulous dinner and great choice for breakfast the next day. All the staff were welcoming and friendly, would 100% recommend booking House to friends/family, even just for a Saturday night treat, the bed, breakfast and dinner offer was so reasonable, will definitely be back!!

There was nothing I’d change, genuinely loved it

Everything about the stay was positive, great place and stayed in many times, and will stay again. Great food and drinks also and great hospitality for residents, with great benefits

In our king room there was two single beds pushed together. Since this my back has been intolerable and giving serious pain due to the poor bed. A double bed would provide greater comfort over having a ‘bigger bed’

My mate and I came to Belfast as the starting point for a hiking trip in the Mournes. We try to go somewhere different every year, and neither of us had been to Northern Ireland before. We were shocked by the exceptionally friendly welcome we received at the House Hotel. The way the young ladies looked after us in our, all too brief, stay was just great. We are both fairly experienced travellers and we came to the conclusion that we have never been made to feel so welcome anywhere in the world. We would highly recommend the House Hotel on the strength of its staff alone, but it is also comfortable, stylish and well located.
