Clean and comfortable rooms. Great location, we didn't want to be right in the city centre so this place was about a 15-20 minute walk. Close to some convenience shops. Parking on site, not too much traffic outside so fairly quiet if windows open. Liked that the rooms had considerable storage for our bags/clothes. Ended up using it like a second dresser which is very helpful when you're both trying to get ready.

My only negatives are thin walls and creaky beds - we could hear the guests in the rooms either side and above quite loudly, which woke us up on the first morning. However didn't hear anything from the pub below!

We stayed here before and we knew what to expect from the accomodation. The rooms are basic, but the beds are good and the staff is nice. I needed a hairdryer which is not provided in the room but I got it from the receptionist. The place is not too far away from the Bullring, it's a wee stroll from this location whish is easy as you go down a hill. It is a bus stop just outside and service 50 can take you to the city centre. The ticket is £2 for a single journey but if you buy a day saver is just £4 all day on all bus services. We used even to go to the airport. It's service X1 from the Moor Street. The room has a kettle and teas and coffee. It wasn't noisy as I read comments from other customers. The reception is just entering and passing the bar.

At the beginning we thought that someone was walking in our room, so squiky are the floors, but I it was from the room upstairs. We were in room 12 at the first floor which is faced at the back. In the bathroom the hook on the door was missing and it was nowhere where to leave the clothes when you take a shower.

The location was ideal, I travelled by coach and all I had to do was walk up the road. The bar downstairs was lovely, the outside space beautiful also. If you needed a shop to go to, there's a costcutter, a minute's walking distance. As for the room, it was exactly what me and my friend needed, ample space and the beds (we stayed in a twin room), were comfy, we slept really well. After talking with my friend the next day because he knew I'd have to review, we both said we'd stay again.

Nothing to dislike. The location, staff and room were all lovely.

We loved how the hotel was attached to the pub. After our gig on the Saturday night we came back to more drinks and dancing and we loved it. The bar was open until 1.30am. Other people on previous reviews have complained at noise but each door is a fire door which blocked out the majority of the pub atmosphere which was fine by us as we can sleep through anything. Do not book here if you need absolute silence to sleep before 1.30am because it won't happen on a Saturday night. Breakfast was served the next morning 8am-11am (Sundays only) and other food options were available Monday-Thursday. Will 100% return.

The one area that I wasn't impressed with was the parking. We'd booked 4 months in advance and were told we had a confirmed parking space. When we arrived, the car park was full (probably because the World Cup was on) and when I spoke to a member of staff they said that some cars will be leaving soon so we never got any parking. Luckily the road permit parking was Monday - Saturday 8am - 6pm so it didn't effect us as we were staying Saturday through to Sunday but I can see why other people in the past were annoyed/frustrated at this. Parking will not be guaranteed, even if the hotel confirms it themselves. Maybe reserve parking spots for future guests??

Great location as it is literally a 5/10 minute walk down to the bustling city centre! The pub itself is lovely and clean, staff are polite and the check in and out process is simple and convenient! The location is also great as the pub is in a fairly quiet area of the city centre so no noise disturbances to report during my stay :)

The TV remote in my room didn’t work, but this is likely to be fixed with a change of batteries, though i didn’t use the TV much during my stay! Nothing negative to say about the property itself though, it’s very well maintained and saw multiple cleaners throughout the day keeping the rooms and rooms, hallways, and the pub im tip top condition!

We used this hotel for a night after spending the day in Dublin, flying early in the morning and returning later in the evening. The staff let us leave our car there from the morning which was super helpful and also we couldn't check in until gone midnight as our flight was delayed but the night porter let us in and checked us in which was great. The room itself was clean, and perfect for an over night stay.

The toilet had a bit of a funny smell, I'm not sure if it was due to a sewage problem or something but apart from there was absolutely nothing wrong.

It was better than we expected. Nice cozy room, comfy beds. At 11 pm the bar got quiet so nobody was disturbing our sleep. A little bit unexpected to enter the rooms by passing through the pub where people were partying but it did not cause any inconvenience. Later on we were given a code for the backdoor entrance.

The heater was not working even though we tried turning it on according to the instructions on the table, so it was a little bit too cold. The shelf in a room was broken so there was very limited space to put our clothes and other stuff. There was only one hook for towels in a bathroom, so it was quite inconvenient. The temperature handle in a shower cabin was stuck so we could not adjust the water temperature and as a result we had to take very hot showers. And finally, two separate taps (for cold and hot water) in a sink - why is this still a thing?

It was perfectly situated as we had come for the music festival in Moseley village and the bus picked us up an dropped is off right outside pub . It was very quiet at night for sleeping,I liked windows opening fully. Beds were fine an bathroom an shower very good.

Pillows weren't very good cheap an flimsy, carpet bit old. Could ve done with replacing tea coffee milk refills at least once in the 4 day stay.

The room was plenty spacious for a single traveler. The location is 20 min away from the city centre, so it's very quiet during the night (school night anyways) and you can get a good night sleep. The property does very good food starting from 16:00 and has large enough selection of beverages, both on tap and bottled. The staff was very helpful in all aspects.

The coffee and tea making facilities were very run down, I was dubious about using the kettle initially but having glanced and the state of mugs the thought of using any of it has completely vanished. The building must be old as the floors creak and you can pretty much hear every footstep through the ceiling, the walls are quite thin too, so every morning when the upstairs tenants were up at 6:20 I was wide awake, too.

First impressions was, very friendly. A young man who was going in for a drink, offered to carry my overnight bag. locals were very welcoming. Location was great for our night out at The Mill. The security guard was a true gent. He looked out for us arriving back in the early hours. We sent out for food and he even collected it from the doorway for us, save us going out in the cold. Very very polite “Gentleman”! Other staff were very welcoming too. Well done to you all

Only one thing, could have done with glasses to have a drink from as we had alcohol before we went out to toast my youngest Daughter’s birthday. We used the tea/coffee cups. I suppose if we would have asked at the bar they would have gladly gave us 3. I had to laugh, I am an Aston Villa supporter and the pub seemed to be a Birmingham City fan club. I did giggle :) This isn’t a negative just football banter
