Really cosy nice place, great when the sunshine is out and the pool is open, I didn't go in but was nice just to sit and have a drink relaxing near the pool, food is amazing, it really is high quality food you would get from a restaurant in London but without having to remortgage your house to pay for it, no more expensive than your normal family pub, staff friendly and really good service.

There's nothing really that I didn't like, before this stay I was in another room that was facing the sun, was abit warm but nothing you can't handle, this time I was round the other side in a bigger room with a pool view, was a much better room and opening the curtains in the morning looking past the pool to an amazing view was a good wake up.

We got married at this hotel and visit every year for our Anniversary. It is situated in a beautiful location in the countryside . The staff are so welcoming . The room was unique and clean it had everything we required. The food was excellent We particularly enjoyed the hot tub it was so private as we were in the countryside in the peace and quiet , and were not overlooked we came away feeling very relaxed. Would highly recommend .

The field view room where we stayed did have a few minor maintenance issues. The shower didn’t work properly and the door handle was hanging off. We did report this and was resolved just as we were leaving.

The food was DIVINE - we didn't feel the need to go out for lunch on a single night that we stayed there. We assume they must get locals eating there too - I know I would if I loved nearby. The staff were friendly, helpful, and informative. There was a bit of confusion regarding our rooms (I'd recommend calling them directly instead of booking through booking.com, it makes amendments FAR easier), but the staff member I spoke to called me back after about 15 minutes to inform me that everything was sorted. Minimal fuss! The rooms could maybe do with a bit of updating, (I'm not sure if they're in the process of doing this already?) but they were perfectly comfortable and I slept like a baby.

Booking through booking.com caused quite a bit of confusion when it came to amending the booking. I was helpfully advised by the front desk to book with them directly in future. (fortunately everything got sorted!)

The hotel had a charming character, set back from the main road with a large driveway and plentiful parking for guests and those visiting the restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming and overall the main areas were clean and well presented. The evening entertainment at the restaurant was a particular welcomed surprise, the meal was lovely and the hosts did a wonderful job tending to the dining guests.

The bathroom of our particular room was dated, rust marks on certain fittings and the floor had a numerous amount of bleached over staining. During the evening meal, a host member had placed a tray of drinks onto the table, due to the unfortunate design of the tables this caused the drinks to topple and subsequently soaking the two male and two female dining guests. I do think the table design needs to be addressed, although aesthetically pleasing they caused some debate among the guests.

My mum is in a wheelchair. During our stay the staff did everything they could to make her stay more comfortable. Food is of a very good standard with a menu to suite all tastes. Rooms were exceptionally clean with some lovely little extras to make our stay more comfortable . All the staff were polite , kind and extremely helpful for the duration of our stay. I think they need a shower chair with a back on it. Although they were able to offer an alternative for mum it wasn't the best for them, due to scratching of the shower or for mum as it made her nervous. They did their best with what they had and we're very grateful for that . So thankyou

What a great find! A great location and easy to access with plenty of parking. The rooms are clean, spacious and contain everything you could need for a short stay. The bed was comfortable and the shower had decent water pressure. We had an evening meal and breakfast - both were excellent. Quality food at great prices and clearly very popular with locals as well. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

The walls are quite thin (room 5/6) so if you had particularly noisy guests in the room next to you then you may hear them.

A comfortable bed. The room was completely clean, if a little small. Staff prompt and most helpful. A second duvet was readily supplied, since the heating goes off in the small hours (as expected), and summer bedding is too thin. The evening meal was beautifully presented, using fine ingredients, and promptly served. An excellent and comprehensive breakfast, though in truth overpriced. Perhaps this reflects a reasonable balance vs. the room price.

Very nice and friendly staff. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Restaurant was excellent and the staff were amazing.

Some rooms were modern and very nice others a little dated and could do with an upgrade especially the bathroom floors. Really wanted to give the waiting staff a tip but we were charged £2 a head (x14) to have cake that we provided ourselves. That was very disappointing. Ideally the owner should reverse the charge and give it to the waiting staff. Also only allowing 1 card transaction per table was a little annoying especially with a group of 14.

Easy parking. Lovely large room with everything you need. Very comfy sofa and good bathroom with powerful shower. Food and service fabulous. Would definitely come again.

Mattress needs replacing or at least one side does as the springs poke into you, the other side had a thin topper, maybe a new mattress or a thick topper could be considered. A hand rail over the bath would be helpful as bath deep and I am short so a bit of a struggle.

Staff went above and beyond my expectations to deliver a truly first-class experience. As I was the only guest in the hotel that night - the Monday evening of a Bank Holiday - they upgraded me at no additional charge to a splendid room with a hot tub (used only three times during my stay) and helpfully opened the pool in time for an early-morning swim. Excellent dinner and breakfast, and for dinner they even kept the chef back to accommodate my early-evening arrival. Lovely room, lovely place, lovely hot tub.

Nothing. It rocked. Absolutely loved it.
