Walked past this hotel many times.. Fell on a bargain price wise so gave it a whirl. Well worth it. From the moment we pulled up we were welcomed, there is a small car park behind which was full so after unloading our bags the man took my husband to their other car park, 2 minutes walk and it is right opposite Home bargains and the tram workshop, so safe. We stayed in room 7 2nd floor, no lift but didn't plan on going up and down, room was airy, light and spacious for the 2 of us. Bed was 1 of the comfiest we've had. Plenty of draws for stuff to go in. Hairdryer, toiletries and a fan which came in handy with the gorgeous weather we had. The ladies there came daily to see if we needed new towels or more tea, coffee etc. Breakfast was served between half 8 and 10, we were given a table by the window which was nice. Help yourselves. Selection of at least 3 juices, milk, water and squash. Yoghurts, apples and oranges. At least 6 cereals and porridge. Toast machine with white and brown bread, cooked toast nicely brown. Selection of 3 jams, butter on table. Hot buffet had fried eggs, bacon, fried bread, beans, tinned tomatoes, mushrooms, hash browns, sausages and tomato. Sachets of sauces. Selection of teas and coffee etc Hot food was topped up regularly and was always nice and warm, set us up nicely for the day. They did have a bar which was open but we never actually used it, but plenty of tables and chairs and some settees. All in all we had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone.

I couldn't really fault anything. We had no issues.

The family room was very spacious....very clean and the beds were so comfortable.... I had sea view room which was amazing....the breakfast was exceptional buffet style ...full english but also a very wide range or cereals....fruit juices....fruit bread....yogurts....big bowl of fruit....tea and coffee machines to help urself...we enjoyed the breakfast immensely...we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back.....thankyou dutchman for an amazing stay xx

The only thing I didn't like which was no fault of the hotel was my sea view room with huge bay window with beautiful views was up 3 flights of stairs and I hv arthritis....but I tool my time and did manage with help .

The breakfast was outstanding, staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. We booked the budget room and for the price it was excellent value. Would definitely go again and are already planning for next year. There was an artist on a couple of times and there's a bar.

Room was a bit small but we only slept there. As we were at the back of the hotel the view we had was the streets but again we were hardly there. As my partner has back problems he did struggle a bit with the stairs, even I did sometimes. But I guess I should have mentioned it to them.

Right on the promenade and parking is part of the room price. Breakfast absolutely fantastic. Hosts really really nice and all staff approachable. The entertainment down in the basement was good and didn’t hear from bedrooms. The host also provided a cooling fan which is a great addition. For me the parking space was the big seller. They have spaces behind the hotel but also a great space for parking elsewhere for the longer vehicles. Excellent hosts

The only thing I’d say would be the shower. Probably needs upgraded as it was cold one minute roasting the next. Carpet too. However this would not put me off from staying again as the positives outweigh the negative.

This is our 3rd stay here and a 4th booked for September. Absolutely lovely hotel. Julie and Rick are friendly and nothing is to much for them. Hotel is spotless and sits right on the beach front. Breakfast is a buffet including fried breakfast, cereals, fruit, yoghurts etc and you help yourself. Best breakfast we've ever had in any hotel! Entertainment on a couple of evenings in the hotel downstairs bar is also provided by the hotel. We will always stay here when going to Blackpool and would recommend to anyone. Thankyou Julie and Co for making our stay so enjoyable!

Nothing.

The downstairs bar area sitting looking out at the sea with a drink is lovely! The downstairs is cosy and clean, a really nice atmosphere! The staff are all really friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the evening entertainment. Beds are comfortable we had a great sleep. The property is in a great location. We always look forward to breakfast when we stay at the dutchman, they do a fantastic breakfast. I love that they do tinned tomatoes as not many places serve tinned tomatoes with their breakfast. Free parking.

The cleanliness of the stairway and the room. Carpet and skirting boards up the stairs a little dusty and dust on the wardrobe and carpets in room.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and tue mattress was nice and soft. Extra pillows in the wardrobe if they were needed. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty choice of cereals, fruit juices, tea etc. Cooked breakfast was buffet style, all you could eat and very tasty. There was entertainment on Friday and Saturday night and both the upstairs and basement bars were well stocked and reasonably priced

Room we were in the decor was a little but tired and could probably do with updating at some point but in the current financial climate I understand this isn't always feasible and it didn't detract from an enjoyable stay

They did a buffet breakfast so basically all you can eat breakfast, the breakfast was included as well in the price, there was a range of choice, sausage, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomato, chopped tomato, beans, hash brown, fried bread, toast and also a selection of cereals, juices and tea. You could have as much as you wanted and the food was quite hot as well, considering sometimes buffet food can be a bit lukewarm. The hotel also had heating on basically 24/7 so room was warm which was nice as It's quite cold in November, particularly at night time.

Walls seemed a bit thin, in the morning I could hear the conversations of others in the rooms next door.

Breakfast excellent, as self service and lots of choice. Room had a comfortable bed and coffee tea making facilities. We did have a large family room but still had plenty of space not cramped even though had bunk beds in the room too. We chose not to have the room cleaned as we were only there 2 nights and we were provided with plenty of towels etc and just wanted to relax. Sea view was excellent. All staff were helpful and friendly especially Julie (Manager?) who sorted out our car parking and booking in on arrival. She was very professional in offering to help with luggage etc. and made us feel welcome. She also advised us of a restaurant, when we mentioned would like to go for a Chinese meal in Blackpool - and it was a lovely meal too.

There was an alarm went off on the Saturday night late on which we think must have been guest related but staff sorted it quickly. The rooms needed a bit of tlc and some furniture definitely needs replacing -the chair and the futon type chair had seen better days and, if not replaced, then a professional clean or reupholstered. Also the windows need cleaning and two cracked glass panels in the windows replaced. The room has a fantastic view so a shame windows so dirty on the outside.

The breakfast was amazing, one of the family is vegetarian and this family member was catered for. When we first arrived, (because it was a quiet week) we got an upgraded room for free, which was amazing! The staff member Julie was lovely as well. She spoke to us everyday, asking about our day and nothing was too much for her. She even gave us information about the tram and how to book tickets for attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel. And also like to say a big thank you to Julie who made our stay even more wonderful.
