Owners/staff at this Family run business were their usual friendly helpful selves... Maureen and Debbie have a good rapport with their regulars and are very easy to get along with... The bedroom was more than ample for my needs and had all I really wanted. The shared bathroom facilities has never bothered me at this property as I know the bathroom is well maintained and as some of the rooms have ensuite, there is rarely an occasion when the 2 separate W/Cs are both occupied... The shower is great and the breakfast in the morning is worth a particular mention as it is well cooked and perfectly adequate to start Your day without feeling heavy ... The location near the Quay in Blyth makes for convenience to all sorts of different activities, shopping, taking a stroll by the Quayside, walking through Ridley Park, along by the beach (which has many lovely and historic features or if You simply wish to go shopping or visit a Bar or Restaurant... Yes Blyth has loads to offer and this is a perfect base from which to do it all from... Plus the Regulars are very friendly too... Go, stay, enjoy...

Getting sunburnt when I went for a 6 hour walk on the Thursday along the beach and out to a few nearby villages and not having the wit to take a cap...🤭

Lovely welcoming place, nicely decorated and lovely staff who were very attentive and genuinely interested in making our stay as comfortable as possible Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, and there was cereals, fruit and juice freely available. Full English cooked to perfection and endless hot drinks available.

The only things that weren't perfect if I'm totally honest, the bed wasn't very comfortable, and there was noise from neighbouring rooms into the small hours. Some music and some arguing. Not ideal but also not in the control of the owners.

This is a bit of a Gem... Easy to find and conveniently located within a 5 minute walk for shopping and more importantly the harbour quay... A family run business, Maureen (owner) Gary (son) and his wife Debbie are welcoming and helpful... The room I was in (number 4) was large enough for me (which was great considering I traveled by motorcycle and had quite a lot of hard luggage) and although the rooms aren't ensuite the bathroom at the end of the hall was very spacious and airy as well as being very clean. I found the majority of those having a drink in the bar to be friendly and breakfast in the morning was very tasty. I also had a Sunday Roast (Beef was my choice from Beef, Chicken or Pork) and it was also good... Blyth has a varied history and has many different places to enjoy outdoors. The Harbour Quay is just a minutes walk from ODD FELLOWS and as well as the various ships slowly making their way past, many choose to fish from the quayside... There is a moored replica of the sailing ship which first caught sight of Antarctica, there is the Lifeboat station and just a little further along You will find Ridley Park which is used by many families and has cafes, ice cream vendors and playground... If You fancy a slightly longer walk, then keep going past Ridley Park and You will find Blyth Beach, with free parking and a long Strand awaiting, You will have plenty to do and see... Take time to read some of the personal family tributes to loved ones on the places mounted on the numerous benches along the way... Blyth has so much to offer and it's hard to see why I haven't been before...Even if I am from N.Ireland....lol I enjoyed my stay at The ODD FELLOWS ARMS and had more than a few drinks in the bar in the evenings... Personally, I believe this place is underrated and I genuinely don't fully understand why but I certainly hope to return again...

The following are not complaints and certainly shouldn't put You off what is a great wee place to stay... If I had to mention anything, then I would have liked a room where the window opened for more natural air as I was staying during hot summer days, although Gary did explain that it was a listed building and so not much could be done and in fairness there was a table side fan in the room... The stairs were quite steep and not a lot of room at the bottom if (like me) You had large luggage to carry and had to open the door at the bottom without bumping into walls etc...lol I mentioned already that the room wasn't an ensuite, (which is always preferable) but I am not really complaining because as I also stated the shared bathroom was great...

The room was immaculately clean, tea and coffee making in the room as well as clean towels! The breakfast which was included was lovely, you could have anything you wanted and service by Debs was incredible. I felt really at home and comfortable. Even my dog got a sausage for breaky!

The only thing for me was the shared bathroom which we didn't see when booking but didn't make a difference to the stay and the bathroom was spotless, it was just the walk in the night!

My stay at the odd fellows, was what I expected above a pub, nothing out of the ordinary, staff were excellent and helpful you could here the turbine blades in the wind, which gives it's atmosphere Blyth I'd a nice town to say the least, people are ok, I would stay here again no problem. It's a harbourside bnb/ pub. If that's what your looking for that's exactly what you get. Breakfast included in the price. U be mad not to give it a try.

Nothing to add here, no problems.

The staff could not have done anything more for us. The meals were really good and there was a wide variety of choice for both dinner and breakfast.

Not having bathroom facilities in the room but I knew about this when I booked the single room. Also the shared bathroom was very nice. I would have a shower in my house like the one in there.

Outstanding value for money - although bathroom was shared ended up getting it to myself as no one else was staying and all spotlessly clean. Very friendly, down to earth staff who let me keep my bike round the back. And a breakfast thrown in!

Noise from the bar was louder than I expected for a Sunday night and does bleed through to the room quite a bit. All quiet about 10pm so no issue but can imagine it might be disruptive on other nights.

The owner is very friendly, helpful and always in for a joke. She decorated all the rooms herself and she certainly did a good job. We enjoyed breakfast an our stay as a whole.

The town itself is a bit grey - especially in the rain. Therefore it's extra nice to have a comfortable and cosy place in town. ;-)

Odd fellows is absolutely fine. Staying there tonight. If there's room. Staff are fine n splendid. Breakfast is spotless well. Prepared cooked to your liking..

Nothing to unlike being above a pub. U could hear the music. N banter. If u don't want that sort of thing. Why would u wanna stay. Other than that it's real life atmosphere. Spot on.

Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and standing shower. The place was very clean. The personnel was very polite. Good price-value ratio.

The nearby Karaoke was loud on the evening I stayed at the hotel, however, likely was because it was a weekend. It stopped by midnight.
