How they had swimming for the children twice a day and at great times, brilliant and the staff were also great and friendly, loved it all xx

It wasn't that clean, the upkeep of the hotel as a whole was great, but the finer details were not great at all. I am glad this happened on the last day because I wouldn't have used the sauna facilities because I saw a woodlice crawling on the floor near the hot tub for 16yrs and over it made me feel gross. And the sauna needs drainage because the water that is accumulated in there is swept into the pool, which is dirty.

Location. I live locally so it a nice little getaway without going too far when life gets too busy. Staying in the family room has a sofa bed so it was nice to relax sitting on the sofa instead of just the bed.

The new bar layout. Feels just like it's an add-on, like it was forgotten about, the other bar was cosier and felt more relaxed, we didn't stay in the bar long and went to the local bar which defeated the point of staying in the Hotel. Which we never left when we stayed in the past. And also wish you could have an option if you wanted to pay with cash or a card,

Staff were lovely and helpful. The bed was comfy, I got a great nights sleep. Breakfast was good, there was a selection of items available. I also ate in the bar and grill and the food is good.

There wasn't really anything that was a negative. The rooms are pretty basic but have everything you need. I would maybe add a bottle of water but I am just being extremely picky there! The cleaner comes every day and replaces towels / tops up drinks - this is a big one for me I do like to have fresh towels every day.

The hotel was nice, clean and staff were great. The food was nice and had a great selection at breakfast, the breakfast was delicious, rooms were nice and modern. Stayed in a club room.

The noise from surrounding rooms and the room above ours. Even though the rooms are done to a great standard they seem to be hollow and you can here noise from corridors, doors and surrounding people. Also the hotel was doing a deal from black friday so the hotel was full of kids, very noisy in restaurant and alot of drunk adults who took there kids out for meals that day due to deals

The breakfast was a good value just wish it was available later. Having a Starbucks onsite was also beneficial.

For me and what I was there for my biggest issue was the location. If the hotel were closer to the ocean it would have served me better. And, although they addressed it quickly there was no toilet paper when I returned to my room one day. There should always be toilet paper.

A large busy hotel which is nevertheless very restful and pleasant to stay in. Very helpful staff and comfortable quiet room. THe health club and pool were really excellent and the lounge is set up with a number of TVs and a big central bar - there are also quiet corners to sit in. A Real innovation was a side area off the main bar with a large TV screen and seats set p like a cinema - ideal for watching Saturday evening sport!

The location is a bit remote if you didn't come by car, but the staff helped with directions to the nearest Metro and calling local taxis. The only thing that needs improvement is the cooked breakfast. The bacon beans and sausages were OK, but the scrambled egg and potatoes looked grim, and the fried egg was very oily. However, coffee, croissants, etc were all fine.

Very easy to find, well signposted. I didn't use the gym or pool but great facilities if you wanted to. Easy parking and on coastal bus routes if you wanted use public transport as the council were trying to encourage you to. Close to good beaches.

Main entrance has steep steps but there is quite a long level alternative nearby. No stand for suitcase - in fairness I think most people only stay 1 night so would have less luggage. A fridge would have been nice for cold drinks as the weather was so warm. Room cleaning could have been better - no vacuuming or cup washing in 4 days

Breakfast is great as long as you like scrambled egg. Any other cooking method is to order it. It was fun watching the next table fried egg arrive long after he finished his hot food and he had left.

Room was dark with a multitude of micro lights with individual switches. House keeping was required to demonstrate the lighting butThis still left areas of dark Used the club rooms of this hotel many times but after the recent building work we will not use again as they are located a long walk from reception

The facilities were fantastic and an easy check in upon arrival. A great place to stay to rest and recover after the great north run and would stay again. I made use of the pool, sauna and steam room which was made very easy to use for someone visiting first time.

The only downside of my trip was the small continental breakfast we had in the morning which included 1 croissant and a banana as I was in a rush for the great north run. As we had not paid for breakfast during our stay it cost me £12.50 for this breakfast which was extremely overpriced and could be looked at in future.

I've stayed many times, i really enjoy being at this hotel. Its very clean rooms and high standard of care are brilliant, Although i feel as though the cleanliness of the pool changing rooms has declined, i hope this improves as i love using the health club facilities. Overall, it's great as always Will return again soon

Pool changing rooms, both ladies and family.. not as clean as usual and bags for wet clothes no longer available even though spin dryer was not working 😕
