Very comfortable beds. We could see from.our room the sea. The beach was 5min walk. Lovely hosts. Very quiet

I didn't mind that the hotel was a bit outdated as it was value for money, considering the location and comfort.

Me and my dog travel A LOT and I think this is the most welcome we've ever felt in a place. The staff were all absolutely wonderful but Pam is just adorable and went above and beyond for us. We were provided with bowls, splash mat, treats, poopy bags, a dog blanket so he could sleep on the bed with me, and we were given loads of dog friendly recommendations for walks, bars and places to eat. Location is perfect, literally a 3 minute walk to the beach, and 5 minutes the other direction into the town centre. Great if you're not driving. Room was clean, spacious and had everything you'd expect in a hotel room. On top of everything, it was an absolute steal price wise. Cannot recommend this place enough and hope to return next time I'm in the south. Thank you Pam and gang for everything! 🐶❤️

The location was great as were the room sizes. The staff were also fantastic with some nice little extras such as Easter eggs in our coffee cups over the Easter BH weekend. Also, Pam was very friendly and wonderful with our dog. They provided a bowl, towels, treats and even doggy bags. Pam even gave our doggy a cute bandanna which she looks very fetching in.

The shower was difficult to regulate, it was either scorching hot (with little water pressure) or cold (with adequate water pressure). Also, nowhere to put your bathroom bits or outdoor coats, as no hooks available.

there was a small fridge in our large, twin bedded room plus a direct, sea view that we didn’t expect. Added facilities downstairs in the guest’s lounge incl a microwave oven & drinks cooler! The beds were clean & comfortable. Just a short walk from Boscombe Pier & beach, bus stops into Bournemouth (regular), car parking & cafés & bars within easy reach (Harvester, Urban Reef, Flamingo & the American prom diner - 9.30am opening - does breakfast next to the beach).

Would have appreciated a full length mirror on one of the walls & an extra electric socket.

Everything was perfect, we had a warm welcome and given lots of information about the local area. Advised on all dog friendly pubs and restaurants which was a great help. Amazing location a 2 minute walk from the beach. Onsite safe parking. The room was again amazing plenty of room for the dog beds and bowls. Bathroom good size and shower was nice and hot. Very warm in the room despite the room being massive and very cold outside. After we had gone out for dinner we was greeted by a lady called aunty pam, she gave us great advice about dog stuff, gave our dogs lots of fuss and treats. We say and talked for half an hour about all kinds of things which was great and makes us want to come back and stay longer despite our 4 hour journey. Will definitely stay again when we are in the area

Absolutely nothing

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, very close to the sea front, plenty of parking and a direct road to Bournemouth in about 8 minutes by car.

The location was a little out of the way for us but the room was nice and comfortable with a lovely view of the sea. My only complaint really is that the water pressure in the shower was awful. We put this down to the fact we were on the top floor of an old building and it took ages to come through and warm up.

This was a fantastic stay with my family for two days. A total pleasure to meet the hosts, who were extremely friendly and helpful by suggesting local attractions and places to eat. The house itself is in the best location - being a stones throw away to the beach one direction and all the shops you may desire being of equal distance in the other direction. It was nice that you were allowed in the sitting room at any point you desire, where there is a TV and comfy chairs everywhere. The location being so close to everything made up for no breakfast as a quick 2 minute walk finds you outside Cafe's, Greggs or the Golden Arches (McD). You could if you wanted bring back food and eat in the the sitting room, where there are a selection of plates and utensils available. We really enjoyed staying here.

Nothing - everything was perfect!

Pam was wonderful. She was great at giving advice on where to go to eat and giving directions to various places. She was really friendly and welcoming as was Alan on check in. The view from our room was beautiful. We could see the sea at the end of the road. The room was lovely and light with two big windows. We had coffee, tea and biscuits which was replenished the following day.

We could have done with a couple more pillows each so we could sit up in bed comfortably. However, we never got round to asking Pam. I think she would have accommodated the request if we had, but it might be good for them to know for future guests.

We paid abut £50 per night for a huge room with very comfortable super king size bed (2 singles properly melded). It was at the top of the house with a narrow staircase but that didn't cause us a problem. Great double aspect view of the sea. We had a problem with the shower (and briefly the wifi) but Alan came to the rescue in a friendly and efficient manner. The hotel itself is not modern but very well located with short strolls north to Boscombe centre and south to the beach. It is fair to say that Southbourne is far more attractive and 'refined' than Boscombe but a pleasant 20-min walk along the adjacent road gets you there anyway. On the other hand Boscombe does have the excellent and quirky 'Chaplin's' bar and a very good recently reopened Italian 'Roma'. Housekeeping in the Denewood was very good with more biscuits, coffee, teas etc being supplied each morning. The TV is as 'smart' as need be and a good size. The shower, once we had it working properly had a good strong flow. All in all, thank you Alan and everyone at Denewood for making our 3-4 day stay a happy one.

The staff/owners of the Denewood were lovely, really helpful and so kind to my puppy. The told me about the dog permissable beaches, the best places to eat, the nearest shops, dog friendly attractions and provided maps. My puppy was given a bag of treats and, if required, they provided dog bowls, towels, splash pads, etc.

I have a really bad back and the bed was not as comfy for me but, on the whole, it was good.
