The room was fantastic, clean and very comfortable . We chose this room because it had somewhere to sit rather than lay or sit on the bed when we were in the room. The chairs were lovely. The staff were also very friendly throughout our stay . We really liked the complimentary tea and coffee too. This wasn’t available to us when we stayed last time but this got a big thumbs up from us.

The only negative to our stay was the breakfast. One of us is a coeliac. We were told they didn’t have gluten free sausages but assured us they would get some for the following morning. Unfortunately they didn’t get them. The breakfast was still lovely without it. They did however have gluten free cereal and offered gluten free toast.

The one member of staff that we met was very friendly and helpful. She was running reception and doing the bar. The property is clean and well kept. Rooms are lovely and spacious and nicely decorated. We enjoyed our stay

We were woken up very early as no curtain over the fire exit door. Windows in roof let in a lot of light. The laundry was delivered early in the morning and the maid was running up and down the fire exit outside our back door. We could see her outline through the window in the door while we were in bed. She was having a loud conversation with the laundry delivery man. The blind at the window. Of the door Was made of thin paper material. I really think a a better blind or curtain rail needs to be put up at this door. It felt like an invasion of our privacy

Staff were all exceptional. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices on and off the menu. The bathroom was an 11 out of 10. Lots of hot water, clean, towel rack was a bonus. Great location... 12 minute easy walk to train station. 20 minute easy walk to beach, pier, and lower gardens walk. Very quiet area. Staff assisted us with recovering a lost phone... We were frantic but they were calm and efficient.

Some minor complaints about spot stains on bedroom carpet and chair. The drapes are for show... they did not close over the window area meaning we were awakened early with the sunlight.

Derby Manor is situated in a beautiful peaceful location, 10 minutes walk from the beach. This is a newly refurbished Edwardian building with a modern touch. The perfect size of the room, cozy deco and beautiful garden outside made our stay very comfortable. We had two reservations meaning we had to move the room after the first night. Upon arrival, the staff informed us that we could stay in the same room for the rest of the stay. This was very kind and thoughtful of them, bearing in mind that my husband has mobility issues.

We liked everything that was available to us. However, it would be nice if the hotel had a restaurant open not only for breakfast but all day for convenience.

Having stayed previously knew the quality of fixtures and fittings and general ambience was good.Polite staff.Generally relaxing feeling.

Constant drone in room (Goodwood) throughout night like a generator cutting in and out , no bath although classed as executive also bedside light on one side had to get out of bed to turn off as no nearby power socket and side door to what appeared to be staff quarters yard ,second morning breakfast not as pleasant as previous and felt like it had been reheated as sausage was cooked (stuck) to plate so obviously not just from grill also toilet had what looked like dried excrement under rim.telly askew on wall .These points which may seem trivial to some detracted from perceived point of the place.

Everything! Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. An amazing receptionist who showed us around, our whole stay nothing was too much trouble for her, very accommodating! Very cosy, room immaculate and although other guests were there, you really felt like you had the place to yourself as only saw the other guests at breakfast. Breakfast was lovely! All of the staff were very friendly! Only took us 10 minutes to walk from here to the strip of restaurants and bars so brilliant location too. Private parking on site too which was amazing.

Not a bad word to say about this place. Will definitely be returning!

Lovely building with modern facilities and excellent decore, clean and well maintained. The location is central and 10 minutes from the beach, then a further stroll into the main town. Good location for a car with easy access to avoid town congestion. The Residents are friendly and so were the staff. Ana at breakfast was professional and attentive to everyones needs. Breakfast was a time slot and cooked to order!

Parking spaces are taken quickly especially when multiple cars are from the same group - the solution is easy and to park in the sister hotel on the opposite road. Perhaps ask those with multiple vehicles, to park one vehicle across the way.

Hotel was great and the staff so friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good and plentyful. Rooms really nicely decorated and clean and had everything one needs for a short stay.

Parking was OK for us upon arrival but so many people are greedy and do not leave enough room for an extra car or 2 so we decided to travel out by foot, bus and/or Uber as we didnt want to risk coming back and could'nt find space. The sister hotel Langtry was worse with so many people taking up 2 spaces with no care at all for others. Hate what to think this would be like in the holiday season.

It was very clean, you could tell the owners took a lot of pride in their busibess. The room was large and sumptuose, very comfortable and even had a large bath which after a long days travel was superb. Breakfast was excellent also, a wholesome selection of food available. The staff were very polite and helpful, I'd happily stay again :)

The decor wasn't always to my taste, I'd have toned some things down a little as the property itself already had all the features of a rather grand house. You can't please everyone though, I certainly wouldn't hold it against them!

This is a traditional hotel in the heart of Bournemouth. The room was comfortable and in a fantastic location on the edge of Boscombe area - which we loved - as well as being within easy reach of the seafront and the train station. The breakfast options were great for a UK hotel and the staff were friendly and accommodating. There was a nice bar downstairs where we had a drink on the final night. Good selection of tea and coffee in the room.

The room was sort-of cleaned each day but bed wasn't made up which seems like a weird thing in a hotel (as that seems like a basic requirement). Meanwhile the towels were changed, which felt unnecessary and not very eco - these days more usual to give guests the option of whether towels changed. Breakfast menu could have done with one or two more vegan/veggie options - or clarifying that you could go off menu. Felt a bit pressured from the hotel not to leave a review of less than 9! 8/10 is still a great score. This is a brilliant hotel. I would still highly recommend it and would stay again, but one or two small details let it down slightly.
