We came to Bournmouth- Ullswater for a budget holidays after looong time of having none. The one and probably best thing about this hotel is that the managers/staff/reception were absolutely amazing. Very helpful in every matter. Little things like getting a bottle opener, extra sheets or even looking after our bags after check out so we were able to go for last beach walk before catching train. I know its a hotel and some might say it should be normal, but they were so so helpful and everything was helped with in that moment. The beds were comfy, for my hubby too soft but I can't complain. Room was quite big, spacious and according to a fire escape plan ,so were others on the floor. We had two heaters in the room, which was amazing. Only used one to dry after storm we were caught in but still. Also spare pillows in the wardrobe was a nice surprise. Hotel is very close to the town centre, which is really helpful especially as we travelled with 3 year old who does not like walking :-)

Our bin in the room (and bathroom-which didn't matter as much)was tiny,I guess that's standard but honestly if one stays for a few days it filles up fast, like the same afternoon.

The hotel is nicely located, its family run and we found all members to be friendly and polite. The hotel is spotlessly clean and even the corridors, travelodge could learn from them. The bathroom was nice and clean and modern and we even had our room cleaned daily. They have a bar down stairs but it wasn't open. We will definitely visit again as its also pet friendly for us to take our dog.

The tv was very small in this age of technology. The Breakfast. For ten pounds it was very poor and next time we stop we wouldn't book it, Very basic cereals nothing healthy not even muesli youghet or fruit. Most of the hot food had run out, dispite only a few diners, No mushrooms, No Black pudding just a few squashed tomatoes, overcooked eggs, a few basic sausage, hardly any bacon and some beans. Simple toast and jam , no pastries or crossants. No Decaff coffee and not even any brown sauce.

The staff was extremely kind both at the reception and in the restaurant. They helped us immediately with any questions we had. We had 2 rooms, a family room and a double room. The rooms were very pleasant and well equipped, it was a special pleasure that we had our own fridge in the family room. The bathroom was also adequate, the family room had a bathtub, and the double room had a shower, although the equipment was old, but everything was clean.

The only thing that was not 100% satisfactory was the thick layer of dust next to and behind the bed and wardrobes. Unfortunately, the children dropped the toys, so I had to see. Basically, the room was clean, but sometimes it wouldn't hurt to clean around and under the furniture.

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions with my parents and we have always received good service. The location is ideal as it is very close to the sea front as both my parents have mobility issues. The rooms are adequate and the breakfast is excellent as it is a buffet, so you can choose what you want and not a set breakfast.

That you have to pay for parking at the hotel of £10 per day.

from the moment we arrived we were greeted in a very friendly manner, the staff at the hotel could not do enough for us. the room I stayed in admittedly was small but very cosy and clean was still fantastic value for money and contained what I would need for a comfortable stay, I would like to point out in particular a young lady named Seyhan who between serving at the bar, calling us taxis was always very friendly and along with her fellow staff made us feel very much at home. would be more than happy to stay at this hotel next time I’m in the area.

nothing.

The hotel is clean and has a working lift.

The bedrooms were very hot but they did provide a fan, the TV was tiny and stood on a bedside table so useless to watch But most of all The Breakfast is Disgusting and no where near worth £10 there was no fresh options, no musilie or granola, no fresh fruit , no pastries Not even Brown Sauce !!! The hot buffet was unedible, we stayed their several weeks ago and it was poor this visit the breakfast was even worse, I would stop again but avoid the breakfast.

Lovely friendly helpful staff. It's an old hotel so had its own character which was nice. Breakfast was lovely. Room was small but comfortable with a small fridge and fan included. Towels and welcome toiletries included as was Tea/coffee and kettle.

There were a few very minor things like a water leak mark on the ceiling that a splash of paint would fix and a little dust behind the door in the bathroom but overall no real complaints.

Bright, spacious room that was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. TV wasn't working so they replaced it straight away. Water temp was lovely.

Limited parking and also wasn't very accessible for those who struggle with mobility. Shower was little dodgy in pressure could do with updating.
