Very comfy and quiet room. Great staff food from the Restaurant was a very good standard. Breakfast was a good standard with very little queuing for your table and Tea and Coffee boughtbto your table straight away which compared to other hotels is unique. Great location with good local facilities within walking distance. Spa was a good standard.

Not massive deal breakers. In the room it was a little dated, and I'd have liked more channels available on the TV. A fridge in the room would have been nice. The breakfast lay out of tables was snug, and getting food usually meant you knocked other residents. Paying for parking.

Loved the building and the internal decorations- beautiful and stylish! The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating to mine and my elderly mothers needs. When the team knew we’d come for a birthday trip away, they very kindly upgraded us from a Superior to an Executive room! AND gave us a voucher for x2 free alcohol or non alcoholic drinks in their lovely bar. What fantastic service and consideration. scrumptious breakfast and delightful afternoon teas we enjoyed at the hotel. Their gym, pool and spa facilities also a brilliant and used addition to our stay. we’ll be back! Diana

No dislikes at all just could do with a bigger car park but that can’t be helped.

The hotel is quite cute. The dinner was amazing, the food was really extraordinary! the room was nice, warm, the bed comfortable. no view from the room. the bathroom was a good size. the staff was very friendly and willing to help!

breakfast was very plain.. just a decomposed english breakfast. the other choices were really bad. for instance only low fat yogurt and some uncooked fruit. the gym was quite basic too, with no window, the AC was blasting too hard and there wasn't much choice in the rather old equipment. an improvement could be adding bands for instance.

Size of room, windows to open, English Breakfast, Spa facilities were great. Restaurants close by. Walking to beach not to far away. Staff were friendly and helpful due our stay. Open fire area was a nice place to stay. Life music was brilliant.

The shower was poor. Very little pressure. On arrival the wash base surface was sprinkled with green staff. The rug in front of reception was not safe on the floor came off the double sided band. Continental breakfast, you have to ask for it, like, cheese, ham, sausage meat and egg. It was not available on the buffet.

Hash browns dry and over cooked. Everything else was lovely and hot good range of choices . Staff lovely. Was partners birthday so asked for an upgrade couldn’t accommodate but moved to a room with s better view, then my partner wanted a bath so we were moved to another room which was actually are original room . Requested a celebration cake which was nice - but didn’t have a choice in what cake and we arrived monday birthday was Wednesday but cake was there on arrive . Nice spa facilities. Good distance from town Taxi service good and efficient Lovely house keeper we met. Bed comfy

everything an amazing stay from arriving to leaving. Exceptional customer service from all staff. The room was very comfortable and clean, Breakfast was lovely and well managed and presented. swimming pool, jacuzzi, and steam room are a very welcome bonus. definitely would staff again and recommend.

the hotel has air conditioning but had to ask staff to have it turned on, maintenance needs attention to detail especially some of the room fittings ie wardrobe handles loose. bath mat and grab rail needed for rooms with baths as slipped when getting into the bath which could have been potentially very serious.

Paid up grade for balcony would be nice in the summer. breakfast was excellent plenty of choice very tasty full breakfast staff quick to assist. Excellent welcome from reception very quick check in very friendly. Paid the £8 extra to park in the car park no free parking for hotel.

The quilt was very thin and the quilt cover was torn on the side and was near the top so noticeable little attention needed to detail let the room down otherwise very nice and clean etc very comfy good quality mattress bathroom gels very good quality.

We had a lovely twin room with a balcony but were allocated a disabled bathroom. It was old, dated and had the same sort of flooring you find in hospitals. Simply awful. Needs refurbishing sooner rather than later. I loathe the cheap alternative to toilets, a bottle of shower gel fixed to the wall. "The Connaught Hotel and Spa"??? Why no robes in the room? We took it for granted there would be robes. Having to collect towels from reception doesn't work. Breakfast average. Choice of yoghurt awful. No fresh fruit. Not much choice for a vegetarian. I ordered poached eggs which arrived 15-20 minutes later. I was half way through my breakfast. Staff were absolutely wonderful, friendly, professional and very helpful. But only one Receptionist on who was simply run off her feet. I rang reception a couple of times and the call was not answered because she was so busy. We ordered room service, a cheeseboard and a scrummy chocolate dessert. Absolutely lovely. Restaurant and menu looked gorgeous. Will eat there the next time I visit.

Bathroom. No toiletries. No robes in room. Would expect this at a 4 star hotel.

Breakfast was very good, room was fine, perhaps not a clean as it could be particularly, the bathroom. Lots of dust around outside base of shower unit. Spa was ok, needs some redecoration, and more seating around pool. Roof over pool really bad, sauna, and steam rooms good. The 2 massages with had with Sharon where amazing, thanks you. Spa got very busy in the late afternoon as i understand open to others as membership access

As said above spa needs to be updated and more seating but all in all very nice.

We chose the Connaught for its location near the BIC. We stayed overnight after a concert and it lived up to the rating other guests had given. The room on the 3rd floor was decorated a little on the dark side for our tastes, but it was a clean and comfortable one. Staff were welcoming. Stylishly presented tasty food for dinner and a good breakfast.

We had dinner in the hotel and I would advise anyone going to a concert to go in early to the dining room - no later than 5.45 as it takes a while to be served, especially if you are eating something more complicated than fish and chips or a burger. I'm sure this is no fault of the hotel. I understand that recruiting in hospitality is difficult at present. When the food finally arrived it was lovely and stylishly presented.
