The room was clean and well appointed. It was nice to have French windows so we could load the car via them rather than walk around the hotel. If the weather had been warmer the table and chairs outside would have been nice to sit at. We did not eat in the evening but could see the restaurant was popular due to the number of cars parked.

The room could have been warmer. We did report the air con to reception as it did not seem to be working fully. The bathroom had a nice heated towel rail and decent sized shower. There is a lot of building work in the area and on the busy roundabout to access the hotel. Thankfully the rooms have good glazing so we were not aware of any noise which is outside the control of the hotel.

lunchtime carvery was fantastic. Breakfast food was also fantastic. Room was basic but served its purpose. Room (I had a room at the back) was very quiet despite location on busy road. 4 charging points for EV which was great. Reception staff very nice and helpful.

For breakfast I was sat next to the "waiter station" despite the restaurant being empty. Very strong smell of bleach, very annoying location, in ear shot of waitress who never stopped moaning about the cleaning jobs she had been given. If I had been sat somewhere else the breakfast would have been great.

Very easy to find and situated just off the main road. Room was a standard double at the front of the hotel so it was a little noisy (traffic) with windows open. We could used the air con so this needn’t be a problem. Room was very clean as was the bathroom.

Was very surprised by the layout of the corridor/rooms. Our bedroom door was up 4 stairs from the corridor so when leaving the room you opened the straight onto these stairs. All the rooms were like this along the corridor either up or down 4/5 steps. I have never seen this sort of arrangement before. Could be awkward for anyone with mobility issues.

Reception staff at check in and check out for our fairly large party was very smooth. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Rooms small but very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast options plentiful and of good quality.

Usually, we try to find hotels that have a communal area where our cast and crew can return after a show to relax and unwind. The split arrangement of accommodation from dining facilities at this hotel did not allow for that to happen. The close by 24 hour McDonalds had to suffice. That, perhaps unusual, requirement aside, we would be happy to place our people in this hotel again.

Very comfortable and well maintained room. Every time we asked for something it arrived very promptly and the staff were all very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was great and everything cooked perfectly.

It’s on quite a noisy main road so sadly the view from the terrace was mainly of traffic. I was surprised that a line of trees/shrubs had not been planted in the 10 years since I last stayed there! Steps between the bedroom and bathroom were a bit tricky and would not suit everyone. The stair lights that had to be left on at night were very bright LEDs and the top light had to be blocked with a towel so it wasn’t too bright when in bed! Could do with more staff at breakfast as service to get coffee was slow. Maybe a self-service arrangement for coffee would help as I have seen in many hotels?

Clean room, ground floor really helpful and convenient with a baby. Check in with night staff was really easy. Lovely breakfast in the restaurant in the morning and accommodating bringing a highchair straight over to our table.

Requested a room with a bath so we could bath our baby but only had a shower and had no feedback from staff about if there was one available or not. Managed without for one night luckily she was pretty sleepy from the drive anyway.

Great hotel in excellent location for a visit to Exeter University. Room comfortable with a well stocked hospitality tray, best I've had in ages! Very quiet hotel,didn't hear a sound from the road which was a bonus. Really clean room and a very decent shower 🚿 👌. Restaurant food was excellent, we opted for the carvery. The breakfast was a buffet and was delicious, I would certainly reccomend this hotel if heading to Exeter or beyond.

The weather!

Great mattress and pillows. AC very good. Nice to have windows that opens. Check in wasn't as friendly as we would have liked but was quick and efficient. Parking, whilst a busy day, was good with nice flat spaces. Great WiFi available. Very good shower with plenty of water pressure. Good quality towels. Nice soap and shampoo. Clean kettle, good, powerful hair dryer. Lighting in the room very good. Pull out bed good enough for young children. Good black out curtains.

Room was slightly dirty. Found an old tissue between bed and bedside cabinet and a dirty cotton bud discarded under pull out bed. Lots of mould between tiles in bathroom, especially in shower. Check in wasn't the friendliest but was over quick and efficient. Information on calling between rooms and checkout times should be in the notes to guests. TV was a mission to get working since everything was switched off at the mains for some reason. One dirty teaspoon and plenty of dust on the wine glasses.

over and above my expectations for the price! I've never stayed anywhere so clean The bathroom was lovely - the bath was a bonus/shower powerful Bed - large and very comfortable Although the hotel is by a busy road, the triple glazing made for a quiet night. Vey impressed and would definitely stay again

not much it's a little 'out' of Exeter so anyone looking to walk to the attractions of the town centre would be disappointed Not a big deal, but make sure you don't walk into the bistro and announce you're staying - the hotel itself is next to the hotel bistro! (When turning into the car park just drive on and you will reach the hotel! Saves you carrying your bags from the bistro car park to the hotel....)

The efficient online check in meant it was a quick process when I arrived. Lots of parking spaces available on arrival. The tea and coffee facilities in the room were excellent. A lovely comfortable bed, nice bath and sky TV. The air conditioning was also very efficient. There’s nothing else that I needed for my stay.

These things don’t really bother me but a few bits were quite dated. There were patches of filler on the wall, and the shower head was broken. I personally think it was great value for month though and those tiny criticisms aren’t important.
