It was comfortable, beds and towels lovely and clean. Kitchen had everything we needed just few pieces abit dated. All cleaning products were provided and loo roll. The Gate at the top of the very steep stairs was needed for our young son. Nice patio area we would've used if we had the weather. Loved the jacuzzi bath, that was a nice surprise! Plenty of space in the property. With young children need to be careful of the steps that lead into the kitchen and living room but we just blocked it off with the coffee table so no problem.

For the price I think a few upgrades needed like a smart TV or Tv that picks up more than just bbc stations. and new cutlery and plates. The bath worked and was amazing but had a crack in the side.

Lovely cottage. Very clean, and nicely furnished. Very characterful, lovely bedrooms, plenty of space, and a very pleasant courtyard /garden to the side. Great for parking and easy access through the garden. Excellent value for money, in fact. Great location, lovely little village, with a couple of restaurants and the most wonderful Farm Shop at the nearby castle. It's such a peaceful area, with lovely walks in the surrounding countryside, which is very beautiful. Having been to Devon a few times now, you can get caught up in very busy areas, but not here - a very relaxing week. The walk to one of the recommended pubs (The Turf) is superb. About 45 minutes each way - even the kids loved it. Overall, an excellent, good value stay in a really good location. If the couple of minor, but important, issues were sorted, then the score would have been 10.

No personal welcome (perhaps understandable given that Covid restrictions had only recently been removed) or, in the absence of that, a welcoming note / little gift - the sort of thing that you'd hope to get to set you at ease when you first enter. It almost felt as if we were intruding at the start. The WiFi only works upstairs. Not the end of the world, but with 2 teenagers, rather than spend time together, we hardly saw them! Appreciate that the walls are thick, but a £30 Powerline adaptor that would send data to a socket in the living room which could then produce a WiFi output would easily solve the issue. The TP link that was in the kitchen did not work.

Lovely little cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners are very friendly.

The stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and there are steps between the kitchen and living area so it may not suit those with mobility issues.

A very peaceful, quiet cottage. Parking next to the cottage. Everything that was required for a short stay was there.

Couldn’t find any fault with the property.
