Ash Hotel B&B

Great location. Lovely couple who run the b&b, Ash is a lovely helpful owner. He happily upgraded us to a bigger room with a better view of the sea. Breakfast was good, we were already aware of no meat option but egg and beans on toast with all the continental options was enough. This wouldn’t be for everyone but if you’re looking for a good value for money b&b in a great location this is ideal. We will definitely return.

Nothing although my partner loves her tea and the china cups in the room are very small. Everything else was great!

Location is excellent with a view over the estuary especially from upper floors. Our host was welcoming and explained everything very well including breakfast, door keys and free Wi-Fi. The breakfast is staggered with different times available as the room is fairly small and intimate, you end up talking with your fellow guests which is nice.

Due to the nature of the location on the sea front parking is a problem. The street where the hotel is, is a residential street with free parking but is very busy and often there is no parking space available. You can park on the sea front but it is time limited.

Room excellently furnished with essential items, including super comfortable bed with two sizes of pillows each. Compact ensuite with new efficient shower. Lovely fluffy towels and toiletries provided. Great selection of tea, coffees and milks to make own hot drinks. Breakfast is served by the host and hostess, with hot options of baked beans and eggs on toast also available, to supplement continental self-service. Sea views superb and accessibility of location brilliant for seashore walks along the promenade, beach or harbour waterfront. Lots of nearby eateries and local facilities for all kinds of activities.

Other guests coming in at silly hours of the morning waking the whole household up, as loudly made their way to their rooms, despite very clear signage asking guests to keep noise to a minimum from 11pm.

Friendly & welcoming people running the hotel who made sure all went smoothly without being intrusive. Breakfast, while not a traditional "full English" was more than what many places will give as a Continental breakfast, and was plenty filling. Room was clean, comfortable and in excellent condition, with a big window which gave lots of natural light for reading.

The seat at the small desk was a bit hard and uncomfortable if used for any time - maybe a thin cushion on it would help.

I was walking the start of the Jurassic coast and was offered a lovely stamp to put into my Jurassic Passport to mark the start of my journey. The owner was so delightful. The bed super comfortable, extremely clean and a decent size room which had a nice shower. All the toiletries were provided. We both had eggs on toast which was delicious along with all the other extras supplied like cereal, fruit, tea and juices. I'll definitely be back. Oh and the view from the bedroom of the sea was divine. Only a few min walking distance to everything. Free parking was also very easy to find.

Nothing I didn't like.

Everything was perfect, lovely proprietor, good breakfast , our room had beautiful views over the estuary. It was clean with fresh towels and it was like home from home. At breakfast there was plenty of choice and the service was exceptional. We would definitely recommend to friends and family and would stay again. Thankyou for your wonderful hospitality .

Nothing could have been better everything was superb and great value for money

Great location on the esplanade - and impossible to miss in its bright green paint! We were lucky enough to be given a nice, clean family room with big bay windows looking out to sea. The owners were very friendly. Although the breakfast is badged as "continental," we were also offered eggs or beans on toast. Excellent value for money, and a great place to stay for those walking the South West coast path

A lovely b and b, the hosts were so friendly and helpful. The room was amazing, lots of storage and loved the quirkiness of the room. Amazing views too straight onto the beach. Great location, right on the harbour and only one road into the town, the town itself was small and not a huge deal there but that’s not the b and bs fault. The b and b offers a continental breakfast and makes it to order, lots of selection of cereals and the hosts were very accommodating. Extremely friendly. Really enjoyed staying there

The Location was excellent, right near to the harbour and seafront. Do not go expecting a modern, boring chain hotel decor, what you will get is a charming, lovely, very clean old fashioned B&B where you immediately feel comfortable and relaxed, where the owner and his wife do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable.

The fact that there was no on road parking and the parking charges were very high, we went Wednesday pm to Saturday am and in that time we spent £37 just on parking.

The owners were very polite and accomodating. I was also pleased to find a Gideon Bible, not only in my room, but elsewhere in the property. It may seem unimportant but it was nice to find. The property was exceptionally clean. The location for the beach is perfect and town was only a short walk away, with plenty to do. Parking was quite good in the street. Ideal for Exmouth seafront and as a travelling base

Some areas were a bit cluttered which made it a little difficult to get into the dining room with a disability (there is a chair very near the doorway) and fake flowers everywhere are not necessary. I also found it strange to be told how to.open a lock but this is an observation rather than anything else. Please note that the Ash Hotel is actually a B&B.
