Beautiful hotel, felt like we were abroad. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Size of our suite was perfect for a family of 5. The food was very good, excellent choice at breakfast. Communal areas were very clean. Ease of parking. Would definitely stay again

Pool could have been slightly warmer. My son is 7 and only managed 20mins in the pool (but he does have a low body temp). The room was perfect for us, however we did find crisps and half a bread roll under the settee beds.

Spacious hotel, aquarium is a beautiful feature and talking point of the hotel, children loved it. Breakfast was delicious and very well organised around the restaurant, with separate sections for the hot buffet, a station for toasts and croissants, another table arranged with porridge and one more toaster and cereals and juices set up in the middle of the restaurant. The swimming pool is great temperature for little ones, we had a 4 years old and a 16 months old boys.

Expect to queue for breakfast on sunday morning as they are very busy from 9.30am. It can be understandable as everyone comes down at the same time, but i believe they could just set up all the bar tables to minimise the waiting time.

Staff were all friendly and helpful. Room was ok but had one or two problems as the window and door handle would not shut properly, we told reception and he made a note to get it done, but it wasn't while we were there so hope it will be seen to. Also the small light on the left hand side of the bed wouldn't work, and again this wasn't seen too. The other main cause was the shower cubicle, as it was very large but there wasn't any handle to hold on to. Also there was no bath mat other than a fabric one which was not correct. This was sorted after 2 days and we had 2 plastic ones so good. The bathroom was lovely but just felt that as an elderly couple it would be worth putting in a handle. Breakfast was good and pleasant staff. All in all very good.

Sorry think I have mentioned in the question above.

Lovely hotel, very well looked after and clean. All staff interacted with were all lovely and welcoming including listening to my youngest ramble on. Roo. Was good size and easy to move round in (had double with extra bed = triple room which was perfect for me and 2kids). It had all the amenities incl tea/coffee and hairdryer plus plenty of storage and a good sized bathroom. Good amount of sockets but not in optimal (bedside) spots. Swimming pool was basic but easy to access (basement) and not too busy, staff let kids have couple of pool noodles and goggles. Youngest really enjoyed it. Food was nice (tapas style bar food), freshly cooked and thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was nice, usual continental & cooked buffet. Only did 2 days as my kids sulked wasn't any pancakes so didn't eat much. Everything was well cooked and filling especially for long days out at theme parks. Had pretty lights up the staircase and each floor had fish tanks outside lifts (had kids puzzle surrounding fishes) and from reception it looked like a kaleidoscope.

Variety in the breakfast such as buffet and hot food. Bed was comfortable and lots of appliances such as an iron, ironing board, towels, body and hair wash. Times for breakfast was good and laid out well near to reception.

the apple juice was watered down and the sausages not to my liking as they were spicy. Also the dinner menu was very expensive. I wish they accommodated families in providing meals they would enjoy such as pizza, pasta salad and vending machines did not exist. Also tourist brochures and information on local buses as we only found out one the 2nd day and it was a lot nearer than where the lady was telling me to go further to catch it when it was only less than a minutes walk which we found by accident by a fast bus driver who did not stop.

Having read the reviews there were a few concerns, until I arrived and driving up to it, it looks nice, the entrance lobby is bright and open with very few idly staff at reception. Bar area has been freshly refurbished and looks lovely. Bar staff (particularly Adam) were superb. We only had a few bar snacks to eat but the food was also on point! Room was 340, looked as if it had been refurbished yesterday, probably the cleanest room I’ve stayed in. All new bathroom with a great shower. We used the pool area both nights, everything was working as it should, changing rooms are a little tired but no more than most pools I’ve used. Overall I was very pleasantly surprised by the hotel in it’s entirety! I would definitely stay again.

No complaints at all.

February 2023

Our room was very spacious. And had lots of storage. The bed was very comfortable and we liked to access to lighting from bed. We liked that we were able to use the wellness centre without being charged but the pool was very small and closed off for members but one one was even using the section when the pool was full. We were on the top floor which was great and kept warm thorough out the night and assume it would be comfortable in the summer as it had air con.

Apart from the receptionist that greeted us. Staff around the building providing services were very rude and underprepared. We were not told to book anything at reception and then was demanded why we hadn’t when entering the bar/restaurant. Staff in the bar down stairs were very rude and made us wait a long time with people passing by and yelling back and fourth to each other. Made us feel very un welcomed. So we left to use the other lounge bar. The food there was excellent and good value for money but the room it self did not feel welcoming as we were placed in the middle of the room next to two large tables and people kept bumping our chairs while we were trying to each. Which was only the disappointing feature

Lovely spacious nicely decorated rooms, great building, loads of lounge area, bar open late, swimming pool and wellness are really clean. Staff all really friendly and helpful. Option to go clubbing if you fancied (which we didn’t) but also the noise from that area didn’t infringe on anything we did and could not be heard in the rooms at all - so very well managed. Can also highly recommend the Alpine Retreat - had some lovely Indian head massages, very relaxing and enjoyable. Dinner was lovely and the breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. All in all I highly recommend staying here.

Nothing, it was all good.

It’s beautiful the room are welcoming and comfortable

The fact you have to book tables to eat in the restaurant even though I phoned ahead and asked was not told this so the second night we was turned away from the restaurant and the bar to eat and the ladie wasn’t very helpful or even very polite about it rather disappointing consider it’s a 4 star hotel but the lovely young Ladie on reception and your bar manager made sure we got somewhere to eat and secondly the second night I hardly slept we had a couple across from us who had visitors they where in and out of slamming the door and arguing clearly very drunk this carried on till gone 2 ! I think some sort of system needs to be put in place so people who come to relax and rest can do so without this sort behaviour effecting there stay

Large comfortable room. Comfy bed. Great shower. Good attention to detail (sockets near bed, mirror, good amount of tea and coffee, and a bottle of water provided. Had a nice meal in the lounge. Plenty of parking (although an odd layout with lots of dead ends, so had to reverse!).

No net curtains, so I couldn't let light in with privacy (I was on the ground floor). Not good soundproofing.. could hear lots of noise (gym, bar, and conversations from neighbours), although quiet overnight..so only a problem if you want an early night, or lay in!
