The staff as per normal were amazingly helpful, couldn't do enough for me.

The hotel has been taken over and the new company don't seem to have the customer care ethos that the staff have, things like not been able to book drinks to your room are irrirating and show a lack of consideration for the customers convenience, the staff had to apologise for something they clearly didn't agree with. I fear having had two fantastic stays here that the new company will drive many of the good staff away which will be a massive shame as the staff are largerly the reason I came back a second time

We have stayed at this hotel before but this was the first time under the new owners. Having seen many poor reviews at many of the company owned hotels we were nervous when booking but were reassured when checking Booking.Com latest reviews. The hotel was the same good standard as before and we had a very pleasant stay. We thought the staff were very professional, friendly and helpful.

It’s an old property so a certain amount of overall renovation is taking place. Fans were supplied in our room but would imagine in very hot weather the rooms would suffer from lack of ventilation.

We had a lovely stay here.On entering the building at the back we were fascinated by parts of the old station.Lovely surprise on entering the foyer which was beautifully lit and very sumptuous.Shirley on reception was very welcoming and efficient.Our room was spotless clean with everything we needed.Our breakfast was nice and hot with plenty of choice served by a lovely busy waitress.

Not much really.The one thing I thought needed addressing was on entering the dining room the door was very dirty and needed a really good clean.This door was also opposite the toilets so enough said.This was my only fault find.

Huge comfy bed…slept so well. Accommodating my request for a room with a bath. Excellent room service…my steak and chips was delicious.

The TV remote not working properly. My key card not working on the day I checked out….went down to breakfast couldn’t back in to my room to get my items…then the replacement card given to me only worked once as well. Had to make multiple trips between my room, my car and reception in order to leave…very frustrating. It was like it was designed to not let me back in the room once I left even though I had not checked out yet.

Easy to find for my work, well located, easy parking. Room was good with everything l needed for a single night stay. Service at breakfast was good as was the food.

Was not what l did not like as staff were trying their best and very polite. Service in the evening was slow for food as the staff member was on her own, she did what she could. Difficult to try and take orders, serve food and serve at the bar at the same time. Might have been just unlucky as several customers at the same time, but I would have thought many would eat in the evening as several had clearly eaten there the day before. Food was good when it arrived.

The architecture and staff are what make this hotel. The breakfast is fantastic, the location is excellent for town and the on-site parking so convenient, and it is well priced hence I'd stay again.

The room was a bit cramped and looked out onto a wall (but I did book a standard room). The car park needs to be swept up; there is broken glass, building debris, bolts and all manner of rubbish where cars park.

Things started well with a brilliant welcome at reception. I had requested an early check-in and the lady was happy to oblige. The restaurant served good food quickly and the sandwich in the bar after a late return was very welcome. The location of the hotel is superb and I love the overall feel of the place - lots of sofas and chairs to relax in are dotted around the place. I spent a very pleasant afternoon working at a very comfortable leather-inlay desk on the mezzanine level. Housekeeping were super quick to respond to a request for more towels and every member of staff was keen to serve. DEFINITELY recommend and if I'm ever back in Bradford I won't look anywhere other than here. PS: The hotel has a long history and there are information bulletins around the place. PPS: The French Ballroom is so beautiful.

The mattress could be more comfortable or improved with a topper.

All main areas are magnificent and our room was tastefully decorated and the bathroom was great; loved the tiling and constant hot water. I enjoyed a bath

There was no view from the room. It was the centre of a tower. The windows were disgustingly dirty with pigeon droppings and the pigeons cooed from before midnight and right through the night so sadly we didn’t sleep well. The morning receptionist apologised, knowing the room but explained the hotel was busy. She assured she would make sure we got a better room if we book to stay again.

Nice interior decor, clean, room easy to find, staff friendly, room was nice, clean, well stocked with towels, coffee, tea etc. Price a bit on the high side, I would've been happier to pay maybe £40 max rather than the £59 it cost

Too expensive for a little over a 12 hour stay. Hotel didn't seem that busy so maybe reducing prices a little would improve level of customers paying to stay.
