I can't really think of anything positive apart from the manager was helpful.

The place was a dump . The first room smelled of damp. It was freezing and the room was cold as the windows were wide open probably to disguise the smell of damp .. The bathroom was pretty disgusting to be honest and the toilet seat was hanging off. We complained to one of the girls and was told to go to reception to get the managers phone number and call him but we said no you call him. The manager arrived shortly after and gave us another room an extra blanket and heater as ALL the heating had been switched off. The beds were nothing special and the pillows were paper thin. Would probably sleep in the car before staying there again.

Brilliant location for us as very close to son's house and we were visiting grandchildren. The room was excellent good size really clean we could control the temperature which was fantastic. The bed was huge and really comfortable with 4 pillows, so we had 2 each without having to ask reception which seems to be the norm nowadays. Loads of hot water and the full breakfast on the Sunday morning was lovely.

The only thing which we could say was not great was the fact that on our booking we were advised that there was a large double walk-in shower however the only shower was above the bath and not walk in. There was ample hot water just not great if you have mobility issues.

We were going for a family reunion and needed a room only for two nights. We love the fact the room was big enough that we felt at home. There was a sofa and some chairs, desk, closet and etc. There was enough space to walk around. We have been staying in different cities and different hotels and this one had a pretty big size room. It was bright day time and very quiet in the night evenings. I love the fact that there was a fridge in the entrance hall way and we had access to milk and etc. Also it is nice when you have access to take away. When you travel for a few hours to get to the destination, it is nice to have a comfortable room and a nice place to eat and drink. We are happy, thank you!!!!

Toilet needed some help and some bright lights would be nice in the evenings and a remote control.

Would definitely recommend. Don't be put off by it's dated look and proximity to the pub because the bones are great and you will have a lovely stay there! Staff on reception were very friendly. Great that the hotel was pet friendly. Lovely bonus to have the indoor pool there for a nominal fee for the whole family. Huge rear facing family room with comfy beds was lovely and quiet away from any pub noise. The ensuite was a decent size bathroom with hot, powerful shower.

Would have liked to have the option of a proper breakfast each morning rather than a breakfast bag and full breakfast limited to a Sunday only. As it's a pet friendly and child friendly hotel, the garden at the rear would have been lovely to use, but it seemed to be closed off. Just needed a tidy up and some simple garden furniture. Nothing really to put you off booking though.

A very pleasant stay all-round clean spacious rooms with equally spacious bathroom with a walk in shower ample seating areas TV and coffee and tea making facilities.lovely pub serving meals and a great selection of drinks children and dog friendly. The staff and clientele are very friendly and welcoming. A home from home experience that I highly recommend and I will definitely stay again.

there was nothing we didn’t like just a few observations to note as constructive feedback - ripped wallpaper, decor needs updating, curtains could do with being fixed better to the rail.

Really big room, nice fluffy towels, plenty of tea and coffee. Very accommodating of us having 2 dogs with us. Large bed in the room plus a sofa. Hairdryer

The Wi-Fi frequently dropped out. The card key often took a couple of attempts to work and 2 keys would have been nice. The bed had a waterproof mattress protector in it that kept coming off the mattress and it really rustled. There is no air con so a fan would have been nice. The hair/body wash is in a sachet.

This was my second stay at this hotel. I'm satisfied in every way. The best thing about this hotel is always great, professional and friendly front desk staff. I'm sure we'll see each other again. Thank you very much.

Old and tired , only one key pass to share between two , plus it was needed on the main door . So when one of us walked the dog we had to take the pass which left the other with no Power in the room

Staff are friendly and provided a good service Room was spotless and big too! Towels and toiletries provided as well as coffee/tea which was great after a long train journey! We paid for breakfast but sadly too hungover to even think about food😂but it was cheap and they even offer a bag to go option! Visited the pub and staff there were friendly too and provided a good service. Had food there too which was amazing. Great atmosphere too
