On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner and nothing was too much trouble during our stay. We had drinks in the bar which had a friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately we couldn't have dinner there due to our friends (who we were meeting) having a dog. Neither my husband or I eat breakfast. The views of the surrounding countryside are lovely. Nice driving along the quiet country lanes.

The Thornton Hunt is a quaint, traditional country inn. The owners were friendly and accommodating and the staff were also friendly and polite, and nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless and the bed was comfortable. In all, a very pleasant stay and I would highly recommend the Thornton Hunt.

Very warm friendly welcome and very helpful host. A lovely cosy village pub with a great atmosphere. The room was lovely, good size with all amenities, very comfortable bed and extremely clean room and bathroom, no outside noise could be heard once in the room. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent, home cooked, quality, fresh ingredients. Thank you for a fantastic stay, really enjoyed it, will visit again.

Wonderful Inn and picturesque location. Shaun and his team were great hosts and VERY entertaining. We were on our motorbike and they offered to owt us park on the patio under a camera for our peace of mind. Beautifully newly decorated room and fantastic nights sleep. Will definitely be re-visiting!

A delightful find when attending a local wedding. The owners were attentive and helpful, comfortable room, great food available in the evening and fantastic breakfasts! A warm welcome from the resident dog who was well behaved. Would definately stay again.

Very good simple continental breakfast - just what we wanted. There was a great deal more choice and things we could have had, including full English, vegetarian options and so forth. But for us the breakfast was choice of fruit juice, cereals, yoghurt, compote of fruits or prunes, seeds and nuts, toast and jam or honey and tea or coffee. Great start to the day.

Truly, nothing could have been better. The room was spotlessly clean, the bathroom ensuite, likewise. The whole estate of the pub and its car park and gardens is kept in immaculate condition by the landlord. I have never seen a cleaner or better kept pub and grounds. Everything looked as if it had been painted very recently. There was good security access to the rooms. I needed something medical kept refrigerated, and to have access to it last thing before retiring. Peter was most helpful with this and this aspect of our holiday worked perfectly

Very secure property for your car and room. Excellent food, Rob and the team are great. The food is first class and I highly recommend the fillet steak with pepper sauce.

Breakfast was lovely. Meals good. The bedroom was equipped with everything that could possibly be needed.

The WIFI connection didn't seem to work which was a nuisance

Everything about this place was brilliant, from the warm welcome we received on arrival to the comfy rooms. Breakfast was on another level, definitely the best Breakfast I've ever had whilst staying at B&Bs.

Lovely comfortable room. Owner was really friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. Excellent value for what we paid. Would definitely return and recommend.
