Good location, excellent pub with en-suite bedrooms in separate building. Car parking available but as the location is shared with a railway station you can easily get there by train. Or you can drive to the property and leave your car if you want to spend time at the coast (Cleethorpes) or visit a city (Sheffield) without having to find somewhere to park your car. The pub has a good selection of drinks and food, both of high quality. The bedrooms have a kettle and plenty of tea and coffee supplied.

The bedroom was a bit tired, but it was clean

Lovely pub/restaurant with a good variety of meals to suit your dietary needs. Very helpful staff from as little as helping me with parking right through to looking after you during your meal and stay. Prefect location if you're looking for a quick stay just over the humber bridge.

Whilst the rooms were very cosy and warm, comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom... I believe the rooms could do with a renovation, ceiling had an old hole in. Outdated TV with Sky that you have to tune in yourself. But don't let that put you off as it's a very peaceful area where you will sleep well

Nice room with a comfy bed in a separate block from the pub part. Easy to set shower to temperature required. Paid separately for breakfast, which was good. A fry up and toast, cereal, and juice as well.Tea or coffee. If around in the day looked like a reasonable choice of meals on the menu boards.

The pub part of the place didn't have much choice of bitter. Doombar and two empty pumps. Penty Lager, Guinness, and stout if you are interested.

Off the main drag meaning it was free from passing traffic.. thus quiet… save for a couple of passing trains but they were barely noticeable!

The connecting walls between rooms are perhaps a bit thin?! The couple in the room next to me were very active… all night!! So every time they went for it, you could hear quite a lot. So I was quite tired the next morning. Won’t stop me coming back though.

The Whistle & Flute is very convenient for arrival either by car or train, the staff are very pleasant and helpful and they were able to do me a decent gluten free meal in the evening.

Whilst the room was clean and warm, one or two bits were either broken or missing and a shortage of trained staff in the morning meant that I wasn't able to get much in the way of a gluten free breakfast. To be fair I failed to specifically order it as gluten free the night before, but had been lulled into a false sense of security by the way I was catered for the previous evening.

Good facilities convenient location.

Radiators not functioning therefore Electric heater in room. Personally I don't like them I feel they dry out the air too much and don't like to sleep while they are on. Could do with a second quilt for winter months. I travel prepared with an additional 'Sleep suit' fleece top, woolly bed socks and thermal leggings wherever I go.

Very good price, rooms a bit dated but very clean. Quiz night so lounge was busy and the food looked good. Went to the quieter bar which had Sky Sports football on the TV. Free Wifi and beer was good and reasonably priced. Didn’t have any food but it looked nice. Free parking at the front of the pub.

Nothing to report

Breakfast was great - a full choice and full english tailored to your needs - attentive staff. Dinner was good - I had the curry home made and fresh - it was just a little too hot for me but that is my persona taste - the quality was great

Would have liked a shelf in shower to put toiletries on and maybe some shower gel

The room was confortable, parking was a massive bonus and breakfast was reasonable price.

Check out was too early (10am) and I felt chased to leave even before 10. The english breakfast looked microwaved and not cooked through properly. But I may be wrong about it being microwaved. Nonetheless, the overall service was great and highly recommend and i would stay there again.

Perfect spot for coming or going out to work on the rigs, excellent location, clean, warm and a good pint. Train station directly across the road, excellent value for money, couldn't find fault for the money. I didn't eat there but reports from colleges is that the food is good, I came off the rig from Nightshift and sampled quite a few pints and there was no hassles, locals quite friendly. I will be staying there again in the near future.

Nothing really to complain about.
