I visited here with my husband and 7 year old grandson. We felt comfortable and warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The garden is a lovely place to relax and I enjoyed my morning coffee whilst watching the blue tit family and the fledglings learning to fly. Breakfasts were delicious, served with freshly squeezed orange juice. Our 2 night stay was simply perfect and we hope to return one day.I

I cannot think of anything really. the building is very old so floors are uneven but this is to be expected. I loved the quirkiness and all the pretty objects d'art which made the interior very unique. I also enjoyed being in the garden which was full of colourful plant arrangements. The location was also very convenient for shopping and our visit to the castle.

Off street car parking, in a town, a very good full breakfast, clean and tidy room. in view of the high temperature weather a fan in the room to cool the room temperature.

I personally don't like not knowing how to access the property until the same day, (I missed the details being sent to my phone) as I am committed to working and want to know how I will get in when I get to a hotel. Why cant this be done through your site? The restaurant was closed Tuesday and Wednesday which I would have liked to know in advance, though I understand why they would close mid week at the moment.

On Sunday morning the cook & her son could be heard bickering in the kitchen which was very embarrassing for us & not very professional. The poached eggs were watery, the potatoes not cooked properly & bacon burnt. I ordered fresh orange juice which was not chilled. Mondays service completely different, lovely breakfast, cold orange juice, lovely waitress who was professional, helpful & friendly, it made up for the experience the morning before.

It was just Sundays breakfast the service & food very poor. In fairness the cooks son was probably doing his best but his mother wasn’t happy with him….and we certainly knew it!!

Easy to find, easy to park. we had a few bits of luggage so thankfully didn’t have to walk too far from the car park! Our room was really lovely. Beautifully clean with high quality bed linens and towels. Lots of little refreshments in the room including some chocolate 😊which was well received after our long drive. We came in very late after a wedding celebration and were easily able to get to our room without hopefully waking anyone up. Breakfast was delicious and very flexible - just what I needed after a full on night.

The location , size of rooms , food excellent, we had dinner- amazing sharing plate and breakfast was delicious, well cooked and presented well

There was no mirror over dressing type table. Plain wall, plenty of space as against a wall, plugs in this location so would be ideal, as I had to keep moving round the room with a chair to sit near a mirror. There was a lot of dust in bathroom

We enjoyed the good English Breakfast with excellent ingredients and a very good Cambodian breakfast. Nice tea menu. Although in the centre of Bungay the location is quiet and secure. The self-booking in progress worked perfectly. We received a text with details and plenty of information when we arrived so we didn't miss an in-person greeting though it was nice to meet the team in the morning. The bar has some interesting beer options and we look forward to coming back to sample them one day.

The Castle Inn exceeded our expectations. We knew the bar/restaurant was closed on the evening we were there. We found an alternative place to eat a walk away. It might have helped to have some recommendations about the options available. I didn't find any information in my room.

Welcoming staff, room perfect! Lovely touches to room & 2 large air con/fans provided! Super views to Castle and easy access to churches/shops etc.. Delicious breakfast... All in all a fabulous stopover Thankyou to all!

Initial concern about parking but managed to park behind accomodation eventually. Not really an issue for us!

Breakfast was delicious, loads of choice. Orange juice was freshly squeezed!! Owners could not be more attentive, friendly, welcoming and helpful. Was a great place to stay. Loads of extra touches in the rooms like water and snacks and cotton wool and moisturiser in the bathroom. Hot powerful shower, spotlessly clean and very comfy beds.

Good communication with managers and easy to access room. Well prepared room and lots of treats inc bottled water/ snacks, good quality toiletries etc. Good cooked breakfast choices inc a Cambodian breakfast option and a nice fruit bowl. The Castle is under new management (the three cooks) and although I didn't have an evening meal, the menu looked great and well priced and feedback from other guests will get me back there.

This is one of the nicer pubs in Bungay and probably does better food than most - but note that it currently is closed part of the week - although still possible to access bedrooms.

The staff were very friendly. The room was spacious with a sofa and coffee table. Nice snacks provided with a bottle of water. Lovely old building next to the castle with sloping floors, old fireplaces and wooden beams. There was a relaxing outside seating area under a beautiful Indian Bean tree. The full English breakfast was perfect.

The bed was a little soft but that's a personal choice.
