The staff make the stay at the Victoria. From the moment we walked through the door they were friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough. The room was a bit tired but it was pretty clean and comfortable. It was very hot that weekend but a fan was provided immediately on asking. The atmosphere of the pub in the evening was really lively and friendly with a great band which we really enjoyed. Our dog Elmo loved it too as he was fussed by staff and customers alike!

The shared bathroom really was in need of a makeover and was not as clean as we would have liked but this was the only downside.

Location excellent for the gown snd beach. The people were very friendly, and the service was excellent.

I found the bed very hard and uncomfortable but I dk have bzck, neck and joint problems. They are not currently doing breakfast but there were pkenty of lkaces on the High Street. One of the members of staff recommended a place to us, which we found, and it was very good. I need gluten free food but although there were vegan and vegetarian options on the menu, there was nothing at all marked g/f. I had a steak but I could not have a sauce with it because they were not g/f.

It is a room above a pub, but generally nice and comfortable and better than similar set ups that I know that are even more expensive. Very close to main street and to the beach.

Got very noisy from the pub in the evening. Did not bother us too much, but could be a problem for some. The beach at Burham is muddy and even dangerous so no swimming in the sea there.

Staying at the Victoria Hotel was a lot more exciting than Travel Lodge or Premier Inn. Very friendly staff, sensible prices for beer and food and the Quiz on Tuesday night was great fun. No breakfast served but a cafe next door was very good. We were lucky and had one of the 3 hotel car parking spaces for our whole stay. Our room was over the bar so no early nights but it was spacious. Could have done with some shelves in the bathroom. The hotel was nice and close to the High Street and the beach. May was a good month to visit.

Toilet seat in the bathroom was broken. No shelves in the bathroom. Uneven floor could catch one out in the dark.

It was a nice friendly hotel,not to far from the town centre and with a good atmosphere too

We didn't like sharing a bathroom for one and one particular member of staff who was quite sarcastic when we asked her to unlock a door at the top of the stairs,apart from that we had a good few days thanks to Ben..........

Staff were friendly and helpful, room was presented well, shared bathroom(knew it was shared beforehand) was close by and well lit.

The room had a strong wet dog aroma which wasn't pleasant 😞, the fan hadn't been dusted for some time so it threw out clumps of dust when it was activated, you had to use it as it was hot in the room.

The staff are really friendly. It's the 3rd time we've stayed here. The location is great. Everything you need is in walking distance. I'm definitely gonna stay again. Great pub and great food, too. The hotel has entertainment karaoke on the friday and a great band on the Saturday. It's fair to say the noise from the pub is done by midnight. Slept well.

A warm welcome with excellent food and drink the rooms were basic and shabby but very clean and the price was very reasonable. Tea and Coffee were provided in the room as were toiletries. very good value for money and I would definitely stay here again

they have a late licence on Saturday night so the music went on until half past midnight but I had a long busy day so I am being picky, under other circumstances I would not have minded

We were greeted by a lovely staff member who took us stright to our room every though we were an hour early. The room was specious and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. We had a lovely lunch, again served with a smile. Later we came back to the hotel for a drink and game of pool, again the bar staff we're friendly and helpful.

Really lovely pub, staff were very friendly, the pub was very lively at the weekend. The room was very nice, simple but very clean with a great tea and coffee selection. Outside access to the rooms if you don't want to walk through the pub. The shared bathroom was also very clean with a nice powerful shower.
