The location within the castle walls. The decor. The beds were very comfy. The size of the property was spacious. The parking pass was helpful and only a few minutes walk from the house.

We were woken up each morning around 6am due to the road sweeping or bin lorry or beer delivery or bottle collection from the pub across the road. There was nowhere to hang towels. There were no instructions how to use the appliances and they weren’t straight forward.

Well placed guest house in the centre of Caernarfon. The restarant and bar for Ty Dre are are at the Black Boy Inn (round the corner) and these were fine with a good menu available. It was a very hot weekend during our stay which did cause us some issues as the rooms are not air-conditioned, but the staff did their utmost to try and alleviate the heat as much as they could. The bed in the room was comfortable and the bathroom well appointed.

Our room was in the eves of Ty Dre house which given the heat during our stay, made it very hot and almost impossible to cool down.

Very comfortable and convenient location for exploring Caernarfon. Several good eateries nearby. Two comfortable reading chairs. TV allowed us to sign in to our Netflix and Disney accounts.

Narrow one way street in front has only 3 parking spaces in front and if they are full you’ll have to block traffic (of which there is little) to unload luggage. It’s a two block uphill walk from the car park so you’ll probably want to unload. This is also true of other accommodations near the castle. Also, be aware that check in is at the Black Boy Inn a short block away, and there is no parking there. If the spaces in front of the hotel are full you’ll have to use the car park and walk back to reception to check in.

The location of this property is ideal within the city walls and close to all the amenities. We were in the apartments down the lane. The room was large with a massive TV, good size bathroom and a separate, and very handy, kitchenette. The bed was comfy and the linen nice The staff were all lovely and helpful. Breakfast was a mix of buffet and made to order. It was simple, not sophisticated but altogether well done. Good value

There were two large flights of steps to the room so you got some keep fit for free The room is a bit brown so definitely not modern The parking is very handy and on site but has to be paid for as an extra. They did make this clear on the booking.

I made a mistake with the date when booking and they managed to get a room for us. All the staff we met were extremely friendly, my wife is disabled and they were all so helpful and made our stay special. I would give a 100 out of 10 rating if it was possible. The room with disabled access was amazing 8and the food was also very good.

Nothing apart from the music at breakfast!

Room was fine. Self catering facilities would be useful for a longer stay. Staff contacted me as soon as I booked, to advise of a big local event that would be a problem for parking etc We ate in the pub restaurant and enjoyed it. Breakfast was good.

Probably partly due to how busy due to local events, but went in wrong (the pub)entrance so had to fight through crowded pub with cases, to eventually find the hotel reception. Restaurant was (initially) poorly staffed, so waited a long time to be seen for a table, and eventually it had to stop a waitress and ask her. She was exceptionally helpful and sorted it out.

Lovely apartment in perfect location within the old city walls with bars, shops and restaurants within a few steps. Perfectly adapted for a wheelchair guest, especially the bathroom. Huge king bed, which was very comfortable. Home from home. Very good breakfast at The Black Boy Inn just a few steps away and free secure parking there too. Staff at the Inn (where reception is) were welcoming, friendly and very helpful.

Pillows could be better! Other than that, nothing to dislike.

The breakfast was fabulous, so much choice and delicious. The location is central to everything and parking was free and a 1 minute walk away. The room was huge and exceeded expectations. The bath was a lovely bonus and it filled so quickly and lots of hot water. I can't fault anything at all . Andrea on reception was very helpful and really nice.

The noise from the pub across but it stopped at 12 and was silent after that. It most certainly didn't spoil any enjoyment and it was a bank holiday weekend!

great breakfast and great service from the black boy inn, just a couple of minutes walk from our apartment at the ty dre. location couldn't have been more perfect, literally in the middle of the town, lots of places for food and drink. Cant wait to return!

The price per night is quite high but that is across the board on the area, but I was so pleased with the location it was worth it!

Super friendly and helpful staff. Room was great and in a great location. Car parking was close and black boy pub is great for food and drink.

The room we had did not have a view but we didn't need one so it was no problem
