It’s an incredibly easy place to find using the bus from Bangor and very close to Snowdon Railway Station (Snowdon start point) the staff are very friendly, warm and welcoming. All in all, this was a great value for money stay.

I’m being extremely nit picky here but the beds aren’t the comfiest and when it comes to meals, picky eaters beware - there’s no requests to not have certain things removed from your meal. Eg. If you want the English breakfast, but don’t want the eggs - it’s a if you don’t like it, don’t eat it policy BUT given how cheap it is to stay and how close it is to Snowdon these are two very minor points.

I just liked evrything about it. Its in a great location if you liie to do walking/hiking or just want to see Snowdonia. The rooms are exactly that a bunk bed and an adjoining bathroom with a shower sink and toilet in it. Just what you need to rest your head after a long hike. Like its as basic as you can get which for me is exactly what i wanted. The pub downstairs also sells food and does a breakfast from 8.30 and the food there is great too! I would definitely go back there. :)

There wasnt anything i didnt like. There isnt a kettle in the rooms so bring your own if you want hot drinks at night/early morning. Saying that this wasnt an issue for me but it could be for someone else. :)

Check in was super simple and they didn’t mind us checking in slightly later than the cut off time of 9pm, when we called them and said we were held up due to traffic. After a 7 hour car journey the lovely lady who worked there gave me a cup of tea free of charge. (tea wasn’t available at the bar at that time in the evening but she must have felt sorry for me). Room was warm and the mattress was comfortable, room was clean and the shower was warm. You can’t expect the Ritz at this price but it ticked all the boxes it needed to tick in terms of facilities.

There was a couple in the room above us arguing at 10:30ish, which was a nuisance as it sounded like they were in the room with us and we needed to get up at 04:30. Aside from that, our stay was spot on.

The staff were friendly and considerate, the man on check-in moved me to a room with women rather than a mixed room and they did their best at every step to make sure everyone got a good room for them. It's a great location to walk the Llanberis path up Snowdon from. There's plenty of space, the food is good. I have no bad word to say. It's a hostel-type, so if you're expecting hotel level comfort then it's not going to cut it, but as long as your expectations are sensible it's great!

The staff are absolutely fabulous. Don't expect the ritzy here for goodness sake.....but I think the staff are exceptional as they go out of their way for you, experienced and able to dpot and solve problems wherever they can, and the younger staff have actually been trained well. It felt a little like a family business tbf. The pub downstairs has a great variety of beer, larger and spirits and it seems well liked by the locals, which I think says alot. The restaurant is Brill...Great food and everything perfectly cooked and well presented. Again, any staff interaction there was also top notch. Thank you 😊

Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Good vegan options too if you're a grass eater like myself from breakfast to main. Great location for walking. The bus to pen y pass is less than a minute walk away on the high street. Would definitely go back again. If you don't mind sharing accommodation, it's very good value :)

Having stayed at the heights before I find it a very economic stop over when on travels. The room was comfortable bearing in mind the low cost. The location is excellent.

It's a minor moan but twice I have moved on about 7, too early for any breakfast. Maybe a continental help yourself option could be available a little earlier to accommodate early risers like myself?

Easy check in, I booked a twin dorm which had an en suite with a shower, 2 x single beds with fitted sheets, 2 x Velux windows in the roof and a radiator. The bar downstairs was good, but they had ran out of Guiness 😭 we didn't eat there so can't comment on that.

Mattress was very soft, you can feel the springs, the shower head kept falling down.

Brilliant bunkhouse!! Food, drink and atmosphere were amazing!! A very busy place and very nice people staying over too

There's no kitchen or fridge for residents use and had to ask for toilet roll when we got there as not even half a roll in the room. Also could do with some coat hooks putting up on the walls to hang towels jackets and wet waterproofs

Great location, amazing staff, super friendly, nice and clean.

The beds weren't super comfortable but after running a marathon I didn't really care. Bathroom could do with some updates but for a bunkhouse it was more than satisfactory... Everything was tidy and neat.
