The Lake View Hotel was a beautiful place to stay. It was super clean, had a stunning view, and was very cosy and Homly. We were introduced to Amy and James, who were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our whole stay. They made us feel at home and catered to our every need. They always went the extra mile, such as, remembering what we liked at breakfast, daily housekeeping and recommendations for bus routes and hikes. There is a fantastic living room/communal area downstairs where you can grab your own water, coffee or tea. You can chill down there, play board games or chat to others. It's so cosy and warm. There's lots of brochures, maps and support if you need it in the communal area - especially if you're looking for taxis. The sherpa buses are a great way to get around! You can get to the city Bangor or different routes around Snowdon. We used the sherpa to take us to Pen Y Pass. We then took the Miners track up to Snowdon. Amy was very helpful with the routes to take to Snowdon and the bus routes as well. If you are unsure on what route to take there is a recommendations sheet in the communal area rating different route difficulty. Amy also will give some very helpful advice on what to do if you are unsure! We would 100% come back and stay again and would recommend this to anyone. We are a young couple who do not drive and did not break the bank to have an incredible experience. It was amazing and we appreciate everything Amy and James did for us. Thank you! P.s The muesli is to die for!!!

The property was perfect! We didn’t arrive until late on in the evening as we were travelling a fair few hours to get there but this was not a problem as we were politely greeted by Amy and James. We initially booked the last room which was two singles but Amy messaged to ask if a double became available would we like to be upgraded, I thought this was very accommodating. The room was lovely and clean with a great view of the lake. The breakfast was super tasty and James’s famous porridge you may have read about on other reviews definitely lived up to its reputation. Would definitely recommend!!
Nothing, it was a lovely stay!

absolutely fantastic stay. the hotel is cosy and welcoming with lots of little personal touches, there is a lovely lounge area with a log fire and free coffee and tea. you can purchase local gins, beers and wine to enjoy in the lounge or take to your room. Amy and James are amazing hosts and work extremely hard to ensure a perfect stay. We had James amazing porridge before going up Snowdon and it was delicious. Its around a 20 minute walk into the village where there are a few shops, bars etc but theres also a bus stop right outside the hotel, perfect if you want to save some energy for the climb. we walked from the hotel up the Llanberis path and it took a total of 3 hours to the top. perfect location, perfect stay. 100% reccomended

A really nice BnB with sublime hosts. Cozy wood fire makes for a perfect spot to wind down and the whole ambiance of the cottage has updated and modern touches without loosing the age and heritage of the property. The hosts, Amy and James, shine through with their knowledge and experience. In particular we liked the most: The clean and new bathroom, wood fire with cozy seating, the ease of communication with the hosts and tasty breakfast.
Our room in particular was naturally quite dark but there was plenty on lamps so this wasn’t an issue. It was a shame they didn’t offer an evening meal only because the dining room is a lovely space to be in and a hidden gem. Bathroom could’ve been bigger but overall the room was spacious.

Amy and James were lovely. Amy made us feel right at home. They do not serve dinner, but Amy recommended some restaurants nearby as well as various takeaway options. We opted for a chinese takeaway, which we bought back to eat at the hotel. It is the first time we have stayed in a hotel and been actively encouraged to use a communal area. We played cards in the lounge, and Amy checked in on us intermittently to see if we would like a drinks top up. It was a very friendly hotel and felt very homely, we are just disappointed we weren't staying for longer!

The Lake view is a wonderful b & b, The hosts could not have done a better job. They covered every detail possible, brilliant refreshment set up, a warm and cosy atmosphere and a great choice for breakfast. They can easily be contacted should you require anything and really go the extra mile to make the stay as great as possible. Some great recommendations for eating out in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay and all 3 of our group have said we would return in the future.
Nothing at all.

The best thing about the property is that it feels like home and that’s how every stay is supposed to be like. The hosts Amy and James are very welcoming and take care of every need . Though we were just for a night there, but would definitely recommend to spend a couple to absorb the vibes at the fullest . A big thumbs up for the breakfast, which was hot and fresh.
If you don’t have a car, this property is a bit far from the village. Though it has a bus stop right next door but travelling to and from the villages can be a bit expensive as the buses don’t run after 7.

We had the best week at The Lake View Hotel. Amy and James were fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from - the porridge is a must! The hotel is clean and cosy with lots of personality. Location was perfect, especially if climbing Snowdon. The Llanberis route is within walking distance, other routes are accessible via bus which stops right outside. Would definitely recommend.

Amy and James were amazing, great personalities, looked after us very well, were very attentive and made us feel like at home, very relaxed atmosphere. The hotel itself is very clean and cosy and their cats add to the character. Very good place as a base for Snowdonia adventures.
Wi-Fi and choice of TV channels could be better, but at the end of the day, you go to Snowdonia to relax, switch off end enjoy the digital detox, so maybe it was for the best.

The owners are lovely - couldn’t do enough to help (even ironed a jumpsuit for us!!) and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and presented well. Plenty of cereal and cooked options to choose from. Everyone booked in for breakfast so that there’s no “rush” and everyone gets served promptly. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Didn’t stay long enough to try the porridge - it looked amazing!
