room was comfy and well equipped, breakfast was great overall - staff on the whole were very good, location was good, great shower and nice toiletries, never like when they are locked away but I guess some people steal them

there were a few bits in the room that were a bit tired, sink was cracked and some paintwork a bit rough, breakfast choice was good and quality, full English a bit small and no potatoes/hash browns, went for a cocktail first night and were superb - went the following night and the bartender didn't know how to make the cocktails we had the night before - different bartender - did have a go at making but were quite different and initially said didn't have the ingredients when we could see that the did

The bed and room were extremely spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was luxurious and really enjoyed all the wonderful lotions The staff were very friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble The girls Tiff and her colleague (who unfortunately never knew her name) at Reception were extremely helpful to all our requests and Liam and AJ were brilliant Bartenders They and all the staff made our stay extra special and we would definitely stay again

We have pondered over this for a while and can't think of anything negative to say

Location was great. Breakfast was superb (we didn’t have dinner).

The staff were generally helpful and friendly. However, on one occasion I went into reception to ask something. The woman working on reception had her back to the door and me and was talking loudly to another member of staff (a workman). She was complaining about something and was swearing (f****ing). This was not a private area (it was reception!) and I stood there until she finished and turned around and saw me. Very unprofessional.

The hotel was impeccable. The property was quite charming, with exposed wood in the walls and very well furnished. The room was quite large and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was beyond expectations, a buffet, but with the option to order extras as well. I arrived quite early, but the staff took care of everything and made my check-in supremely easy. Overall, a fabulous hotel with character, but still all the modern amenities.

Nothing. If I was to be picky, then the shower was slightly slippery. But that is really being nitpicky.

Excellent location. Very central, yet also one of the best districts of Cambridge. Very professional and friendly staff. Superb spacious room with very good room facilities. The historic and characterful buildings of the hotel. An especially pleasing aspect of all Hotel du Vin hotels. The breakfast was/is always of extremely good quality as it always is in Hotel du Vin hotels.

Nothing. I have over the years stayed several times in Hotel du Vin hotels across the country, and from my experience, would highly recommend them.

parking needs to be clarified on booking that it’s £1 for 10mins outside of property or a 10min walk to £30 a day parking venue belonging to a separate hotel. This information personally for me would of been helpful as I had no change for street parking on arrival, I didn’t know the area and arrived at night. I had to leave the hotel earlier than planned to visit family, where I could of bought street parking for a few hours after 8am and enjoyed breakfast.

The room was comfortable and pleasant although there was no view of anything. The breakfast was very good. We had dinner in the evening which was excellent - as we would expect at an Hotel du Vin. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only problem is the lack of on site parking. We therefore had to come past to drop off the baggage before heading off to park in a nearby hotel - The Graduate.

The location of the hotel was good, the room was really good as it was very spacious and comfortable.

The parking is fine but feel that the process of parking is a bit wishy washy and before we arrived I made contact with hotel and left me very doubtful that I was going to be able to get parked and it turned out that it was fine, so I think that the communication could have been better.

Great central location. Although there is no on site parking, the hotel is relatively close to bus stops from Trumpington Park and ride so this was not a great inconvenience. I got a good half board deal and had an excellent dinner and breakfast.

No parking but see comment about what I liked.
