Recently refurbished to a very good standard. There is still work going on but it doesn’t interfere with the facilities except there is no bar or restaurant yet. Excellent breakfast.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were all super friendly and couldn't do more to help. There were a few restrictions still in place due to staffing and getting over covid rules, but I don't think it impaired our visit at all. I'd read reports of the dated decor but I thought it was great and we spent time down in the bar. Food at the restaurant was gorgeous and generous portions. We had dinner one night and breakfasts everyday. Parking was good and the hotel was a very easy 15min stroll to the catherdral. We would stay here again as we were very happy there.

My only issue was that our room floor boards were very creaky as we're the ones in the room above, but again, this wasn't really an issue, just the only reason why it's not getting 5 stars.

The lovely breakfast. A good choice.. Even for vegans.. The staff were all very helpful polite. The nice warm bedrooms.. There was a problem with our room, within 5 minutes it was sorted out and we were given another room. The lovely comfy beds and fluffy towels, The quietness of the hotel.. Ten minute walk into Canterbury.. Free parking.. We will be back. Thank you.. Couldn't find a thing not to like and enjoy about this hotel. Also it was spotless everywhere.. Oh yes and they let you bring dogs.. Don't let that put you off. If you wonder about that.. The rooms are soundproof.. Excellent hotel.. And believe me I've been to thousands.. OK 1 thing a bit iffy is the WiFi.. Not great.. So that why 9 not 10

Want a fridge in the room. And only 1 coffee and 1 tea bag each. So needs either to be more generous or restocked.

Everything was very pleasant . We stayed at the new remodeled bedroom/ bathroom, very good!

The price.. a little bit expensive

The hotel has a nice feel to it despite being in need of renovation. Staff are warm and welcoming. We had a dinner in the restaurant when we arrived, which exceeded our expectations. The Tchibo coffee maker in the room was a nice addition too.

The hotel and the room was a bit tired and had seen better days. The hotel was overpriced for what it was, but on the other hand, so are all hotels right now due to the demand for UK breaks and holidays.

Big beautiful room, I think just painted, new carpet,…Friendly staff. Quiet. Slept well.

The breakfast was good, but not superb.

Excellent break in new executive room. Could do with a mini bar or fridge for ice. Some of the common areas could do with a fresh up but non the less quite charming.

Nothing much. More chose on the dinner menu perhaps as hotel situated in a residential area devoid of restaurants and the late night walk back from the town not over pleasant although no dangers as delightful area.

Nice quiet room. Lovely atmosphere in the hotel with beautiful old master reproduction paintings on all the corridors. Staff very nice, helpful and friendly. Food outstanding in the restaurant, in particular the chicken schnitzel, which we had on both nights. We congratulated the chef personally.

The hotel was perfect, nothing to dislike. We would certainly return

The staff were particularly helpful and welcoming. We had our dog with us and we were not made to feel awkward. Breakfast was served in the bar and we were treated as though we were in the restaurant with other residents. Breakfast was delicious.
