Clean, clean, CLEAN! This is very important to me and my room was certainly spic and span. I was asked to remove my shoes at the door - great! I have no problem doing this as it keeps the carpets clean. The host was very friendly and chatty. I arrived quite sweaty and tired because I had to take a bus instead of the train. The host made me feel better right away. Breakfast was very nice and relaxing in a comfortable, front room with lovely relaxing music playing. The first day I didn't have breakfast at the B&B and I was recommended to try a place just down the street. It was fabulous, but a bit noisy, which is why I decided to have breakfast at the B&B the following day. I was not charged for the breakfast because I had an issue with my toilet and I think the host felt bad about that. She definitely tried her best to make her guests feel comfortable and cared for. I appreciated this very much.

The walk into town was far. The road was a long drag and very uninspiring. It looked like home... I wasn't impressed with the walk, although the next day I took a prettier walk that was suggested to me by my host. That was better, but I was nervous to do this walk at night when I returned, worried I might get lost. My only complaint is when I asked about directions and train times I didn't get a clear answer. A map definitely should be provided in the room to help with this. While the host was very friendly and kind, her directions were difficult to follow.

Lovely hostess, room was great, easy walk to attractions. Bed great, en suite shower great... there was a kettle with plenty tea, coffee milk and biscuits. Shops nearby, but it wasn't noisy. The landlady was very kind and really made me feel at home. For my weekend in Canterbury, I was made to feel it was my home from home. I had a lovely weekend break on Carena House and I will definitely come again

I'd prefer to have a radio on at breakfast, news or music, something classical would suit Canterbury

Just minor points -You can hear all the water being used through the pipes from the room above, closing the door to the bathroom helped mute this though -You have to take your shoes off, for some this might be normal (it was for me) but I can imagine some would find this...different -Fire alarm in room occasionally flashes

Have stayed there previously so knew the place. Warm reception and pleasant dealings with Susan during my stay. No problems at all. Room 4 is small but adequate for my needs. Good supply of towels, shower gel etc. I only took breakfast twice. It was good. Coffee, tea etc in the room, most useful. The small fridge in the breakfast room was made available for me and other guests, Also useful was the little table where I could use my laptop to deal with emails etc.

I suggest mounting the TV on the wall so save stretching the power cable and to provide a better viewing angle when sitting up in bed late at night.

Our host was very welcoming and helpful going out to get special milk and tea to suit our dietary requirements. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept on. The breakfast was enjoyable

The room was a little over furnished for the size and could have been laid out. The shower was small There was a fridge in the room but this was quite loud when it was on

Susan was a very pleasant host and the room was quite spacious.Although it is a little bit of a distance from the main attractions, the Park and Ride buses go from round the corner and run frequently.

I asked for breakfast which Sue willingly obliged. However it was a bit spartan for £10, I thought. Also the bedroom tended to be rather cold first thing.

The place was clean and cosy. The room had all the things required and the ensuite bathroom was really clean. Had an electric heater and well stocked tea and coffee bar.

The bed size personally was a bit small, being a single bed, also the location was a bit far from the city centre. The price of the room was a bit too much as per the size of the room and the location, Although the cleanliness of the room was really up to the mark.

More a warning than a dislike. The eating places near the house are pretty dismal. Though Canterbury itself offers a wide range; it is a bit of a walk, and the car-parking arrangements in the city take some mastering.

Cafe Solo around the Corner for Breakfast, with the taxi you are in 5minutes in the town center. Susan were very helpful and welcoming.

Uhm it's called B&B but beside on Booking were no information about Breakfast and on Booking were only listed that the Breakfast would be 10Pounds. But that were no big issue.

The breakfast was super!! Room was immaculate!! Loved the tea tray that was filled each day. Susan was an excellent and charming lady. I use a cane and Susan’s husband drove me to the bus station to get the bus going to Bath!!
