Staff were really friendly. Cooked breakfast options excellent. Not so good if you wanted cereal/fruit. Location suited us. Lovely setting - BUT the planes from airport started taking off really early on Saturday morning so a noisier awakening than anticipated. I

Checkout time was brought forward and breakfast times shortened after we’d made the booking. Just sent an email with no explanation until I requested one. It turned out they’d got a Wedding booking . I felt they should have honoured the original check out time since we had booked a long while in advance. Coffee wasn’t replenished when they serviced the room . I ordered compote with my breakfast which they forgot and then suggested it was underneath the porridge . Really bright green light emanating from what looked like a Wi-Fi router in the room which we found quite disturbing for sleep. Such a shame as the room was otherwise really quiet and comfortable during the night hours.

The receptionist was lovely. Cocktails were nice and good choice on the menu. Room was interesting and cosy. Breakfast was decent and dinner was quite nice. Lots of nice little details in the decor. Well stocked mini bar, although a little overpriced. Bed was very comfortable.

Lacks sufficient parking. No shower caps - the shower is an overhead shower and hard to not get hair wet. No bath in the Playground Suite. A few tweaks here and there could really uplift the hotel - e.g. having ingredients in stock, being asked at dinner if any sauces wanted, a welcome drink or snack, just something to elevate the experience as it is a 5 star hotel.

This is a gem of a property that really wowed us! We chose it because it’s close to Manchester airport. What we didn’t expect was the level of luxury for the price, the gardens and park as well as the restaurant which was far and away the best meal we had in our UK tour. You won’t believe this place it’s quirky in the decor and swanky in appointments. Fabulous and definitely on our stay list when we return. 15 minutes from the airport. Stay in room 19 or 20!

I cannot say one negative about the property.. the proximity of the airport means a bit of air noise but we didn’t notice.

The reception staff were lovely, very welcoming and attentive, Bar staff were also great. The hotel was very nicely decorated and furnished; rooms were spacious and clean, including bathrooms. The venue overall was a great location for weddings or family occasions.

Parking! Not enough room at the venue so we had to park a short distance away in a public carpark which wasn't ideal. The mattresses on the beds had seen better days and sagged in the middle, not what I expect after paying the price for a stay at this venue. The bedding was clean as were towels etc. Breakfast was of a good quality but spoiled because of being only lukewarm. I should have challenged this but because it was a family wedding, I didn't want to cause a fuss and embarrassment. There was no fresh fruit on offer which even Premiere Inns provide, so a little disappointing.

Beautiful room the superior suite. Lovely park and pleasant area. Very clean well kept. Nice staff good for the odd night away. Bed was large and very comfortable, a little table to sit at was in the room.

Overwhelming bleach smell in the room when you walked in so at least you know it was clean. not really matching the chill vibe of the room. Ran a hot bath and put bubble bath in to try and get rid of the smell.maybe not use string bleach smelling products. Breakfast was average. With little choice and selection. For the price of the room ( the most expensive one available) nothing from the mini bar was included not even a bottle of water. Having Stayed at many equivalent cost/quality rooms basics are included like water snacks soft drinks and even a few alcoholic drinks. Eye masks would be useful as the blinds do not block the light when fully closed so light streams in 5am at sunrise.

Loved the decor and the facilities in the room. The shower was great. Didn’t get a chance to try out the bar or dining room but would do that if we stay again. The park location was lovely though we didn’t get a chance to explore because of the rain. Staff were always available and very helpful. The hotel decor us a lot of fun - loved the quirkiness and humor in the art pieces displayed.

Parking in front of the hotel is limited but there is a carpark nearby if the spaces are taken. Hotel is on the Manchester airport flight path so if you open the windows you will hear planes passing. AC in the room keeps things cool though.

Lovely hotel in a nice location. We stayed in one of the Kendal suites which was great with a roll top bath in the room and views of the park. Breakfast was included and was delicious.

Staff were friendly but the service was maybe not up to 5 star standards? There wasn’t any milk in the room and although this wasn’t a big issue as we went down to get some, when you pay that much things like that should be checked. I think with a suite you should get complimentary biscuits or similar nice touches in the room but there was nothing like that. There was 1 bottle of sparkling water that was warm and flat. With a bit more thought about customer service (tell the guests when and where breakfast is, be a little more inquisitive about their needs, provide a nicer welcome tray, I think it would be so much better. Small fixes though.

We were pleasantly impressed with the driveway to the hotel, it has such a special feel to it. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful as if though we were family. The suite we stayed in has stunning views and was a perfect size for our one night stay. Little touches like leaving the Chill music on the Radio upon entering the room was priceless. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding! We have no hesitation to book again in the future.

It’s not a criticism but we felt the hotel needed an elevator although the staff kindly helped us up and down with our suitcases with no fuss. Slippers in the bedroom would have been nice:)

The hole experience was good. I was treated politely by the staff, and my room was unique, comfortable, and clean. I had dinner in the bar, as the restaurant was fully booked, The food was good quality and reasonably quick to arrive, and the service by the staff member on the bar was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was tasty and the dinning room a lovely place to look out at the grounds.

Checkout took a little while because the only person on reception was dealing with a phone call. So not the receptionist's fault, just one of those slightly annoying things. Also the carpark felt a little unsafe, but I was reassured that it was in fact very safe, and in actuality my car was fine.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming in the restaurant and bar, nothing was too much trouble. Absolute credit to the hotel … The food was superb … The bedroom was beautiful, the bed was super comfy and the bath/shower were second to none. And the views from the windows were so lovely to wake up to

I’m being picky here … Had to wait for someone to appear to check me in, no way of alerting anyone to me being there … No bath robe in a suite … on checkout they said they have them if you ask. Maybe it would be better to offer on check in … A nice biscuit in the room to go with tea/coffee facilities would have been nice … most hotels do and it’s just a nice gesture
