The quirky, cosy decor ensure you know that you're not in a chain hotel room. An opening window, is becoming a rare find but our room had one. Young team of waiting on staff but they all had great manners, attention to detail and made dining there a joy. When asking to be seated I explained that I am hard of hearing and would like a quiet area to sit, not easy in a busy restaurant, but the waiter offered us a couple of table choices, being sure to look at me when he spoke. The evening menu food was a real delight. We didn't have breakfast due to catching an early flight
The disabled parking is near the hotel however, it's on a steep slope and only one side of the car had space to fully open the door. We parked on a flatter area at the far end of the car park, with space to open both driver, front passenger and boot. There is a drop off zone outside reception if it suits your needs.

It was an unexpected stop over due to a cancelled flight and struggled to find anywhere as all airport hotels were full.. They had check in till 11.30 so was able to book at short notice. As it was late Sun night and I only had snacks at the airport I hoped for food but they had closed the kitchen but they made me a sandwich. Comfortable and clean with toiletries.
Decor is looking a bit worn. It would have been good to have even limited room service for food - I expect they are used a lot for airport travel as it’s fairly close. Felt it was a bit expensive. No lift to my room but they carried my case up for me.

Nice location with a rural feel despite the housing development across the road. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The public areas are nice and attractively decorated. Our standard room was very pleasant, a decent size and we appreciated the outlook over the greener spaces. The room had everything we needed including tea, coffee, biscuits, hairdryer, fan and mini safe. It was clean and comfortable. Great location if flying from Manchester Airport and is a 5 minute drive from Wilmslow and Quarry Bank Mill.
The bathroom was very tired and because of that it didn’t feel as clean. It was adequate but could be vastly improved with a new shower hose and towel rail - they were rusty. The door was tired and a varnish would help. As it was a standard room and cheaper, I didn’t complain but next time I would consider paying the extra £20 for the next level room where I think the bathrooms are better.

Location pretty good. Older property but still very nice.
We think there may have been a plastic liner sheet on the bed cos we were sweating. Mattress was very soft … possible too soft. The breakfast was the worst experience . We asked for 4 coffees but only came back with 3, even though we clarified we wanted 4(as there were 4 of us)? The fourth cup still didn’t arrive. We had to ask once again. The hot breakfast wasn’t very well stocked .. we had to wait about 20 minutes for fresh eggs, hash browns and more bacon as all empty.

Stanneylands was an amazing building full of character and set in a quiet peaceful location with ample parking (free). The room was a good double, but just a little tight on room space. It was quiet and the bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The bathroom/toilet all worked well. Breakfast was amazing - worth paying for - because in addition to all the self-service Continental fruits, salads, cereals, drinks, toasts etc, there was a hot plate which was cooked to your order. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and helpful - the whole ethos of Stanneylands was refreshingly guest goodly.
Small point, so don't stress about it. Not many power sockets, and no USB sockets

Beautiful room, comfy bed
Check in experience wasn’t the best. Stood for a few minutes whilst the guy tapped away on the computer before eventually saying ‘I’ll be with you in a minute’. He saw us walk in and upto the desk, saying that immediately would have made things less awkward. Also at the point of checking in, everyone who was checking in that day had a printed piece of paper with all their details on just lay out on the sideboard, not a very secure way to be holding your customers informations and data!

We had the dinner and the breakfast in the morning, both meals were delicious . It was a perfect quiet atmosphere in the bar at night, it was a very calm hotel, lots of people staying but so quick and efficient on the reception desk that there where no queues, keeping up with the calmness of the place. Plenty of parking. It was the rest we needed as we had to travel for 19 hours the following day.
Absolutely nothing. Best hotel carpark we have ever stayed in, and from now always will.

Reception easy checking in, [pleasent recceptionist. Room was on ground floor and very quiet. Comfortable bed etc Dinner was excellent, well cooked, nicely presented etc. Waitress was really attentive and helpful, Breakfast was excellent, buffet style, good choice, well presented , hot food was hot and remained moist rather than dried stuff I have experienced in other hotel, buffet brakfasts.. Service was excellent, attentive pleasent serving staff.
Car park was a little too far when needing to carry luggage - would have liked a clear dropping off area and/or help with luggage.

Clean well equipped rooms very handy for attending a wedding at Styal Lodge. Excellent dinner in the restaurant the night before and breakfast offered a good choice of food. Liked that coffee/tea was served to your table at breakfast. Plenty of parking
Rooms including bathrooms clean but dated. Rooms very hot although there was a fan in the room but no good if you are a light sleeper like my husband . Bed a bit soft and for a deluxe room surprised you still have to climb in the bath for a shower

Beautiful hotel, ideally located for the nearby Styal Venue where we were attending a wedding. Rooms are comfortable, staff were all excellent and super attentive, breakfast was generous and pretty good, and the restaurant/lobby area is really well designed with a tongue in cheek pub with modern twists kinda vibe. Lovely coupe of days.
The rooms were a wee bit more dated than the communal spaces in the hotel. Not bad by any stretch of the imagination-just in comparison to the lobby/restaurant area. Only major downside we had was with hair dryers. The ones in the room don't work for long on the hottest setting, overheating very quickly. As we were getting ready for a wedding this was a bit of a panic. If you bring your own, you're absolutely fine. To the hotels credit once again, they brought us a replacement immediately, but I think it's just the brand they use that struggles to cope with the heat
