Stanneylands was an amazing building full of character and set in a quiet peaceful location with ample parking (free). The room was a good double, but just a little tight on room space. It was quiet and the bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The bathroom/toilet all worked well. Breakfast was amazing - worth paying for - because in addition to all the self-service Continental fruits, salads, cereals, drinks, toasts etc, there was a hot plate which was cooked to your order. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and helpful - the whole ethos of Stanneylands was refreshingly guest goodly.

Small point, so don't stress about it. Not many power sockets, and no USB sockets

Reception easy checking in, [pleasent recceptionist. Room was on ground floor and very quiet. Comfortable bed etc Dinner was excellent, well cooked, nicely presented etc. Waitress was really attentive and helpful, Breakfast was excellent, buffet style, good choice, well presented , hot food was hot and remained moist rather than dried stuff I have experienced in other hotel, buffet brakfasts.. Service was excellent, attentive pleasent serving staff.

Car park was a little too far when needing to carry luggage - would have liked a clear dropping off area and/or help with luggage.

Clean well equipped rooms very handy for attending a wedding at Styal Lodge. Excellent dinner in the restaurant the night before and breakfast offered a good choice of food. Liked that coffee/tea was served to your table at breakfast. Plenty of parking

Rooms including bathrooms clean but dated. Rooms very hot although there was a fan in the room but no good if you are a light sleeper like my husband . Bed a bit soft and for a deluxe room surprised you still have to climb in the bath for a shower

Beautiful hotel, ideally located for the nearby Styal Venue where we were attending a wedding. Rooms are comfortable, staff were all excellent and super attentive, breakfast was generous and pretty good, and the restaurant/lobby area is really well designed with a tongue in cheek pub with modern twists kinda vibe. Lovely coupe of days.

The rooms were a wee bit more dated than the communal spaces in the hotel. Not bad by any stretch of the imagination-just in comparison to the lobby/restaurant area. Only major downside we had was with hair dryers. The ones in the room don't work for long on the hottest setting, overheating very quickly. As we were getting ready for a wedding this was a bit of a panic. If you bring your own, you're absolutely fine. To the hotels credit once again, they brought us a replacement immediately, but I think it's just the brand they use that struggles to cope with the heat

Fantastic staff, me and my girlfriend were celebrating before going away and the staff made everything special

The location of our room to the function/event that was going on. Although the music was loud there wasn’t any blame as we needed to be awake by 3:30 to go to the airport and the event going on until 12 would have been fine if we weren’t needing to be asleep early. Any other night this wouldnt have been a problem. Just something to think on when rooming guests for early flights coupled with functions

Nice location, majority of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good. We found breakfast very nice with sufficient selections. The room we ended up in was spacious and warm, excellent shower, clean enough. Comfortable bed with a nice table and chairs in room.

There were issues to start with... very limited heating in first room (seemed like radiator needed air bleeding), second room in older part of building had no hot water, third room back in new block was just fine. Receptionist was very helpful and apologetic, and handled our concerns quickly... although the later issue with the hot water took some time to try to resolve before the night staff found us another room. Once resolved, none of this really affected our stay and we enjoyed 3 nights here.

My room was very comfortable and, unlike some new build hotels, I was able to open my window for fresh air rather than being in a sealed box. Reception staff and bar staff were helpful and friendly. I was visiting for a special lunch which staff managed well being friendly and unobtrusive. It was a wonderful, celebratory luncheon and the staff contributed to that.

The breakfast was ok rather than great. Maybe a bit more effort with food presentation and keeping an eye on the Saturday buffet to ensure items are topped up before they run out.

Lovely garden setting, nicely decorated room, modern bathroom and power shower with big fluffy towels. The breakfast area of the bar had a pleasant atmosphere with a good variety of food on offer.

Car park and paths uneven due to hillside location. Breakfast service was a bit hit and miss, we weren’t asked if we wanted anything cooked to order and staff were slow to clear our plates.

Excellent breakfast, tasty bacon little fat, good quality sausages lovely eggs and really important - crispy hash browns !! (Great to be served crispy hash browns, I dislike soggy ones!!) Great cold selection of cereals, pastry’s, and yoghurts and a decent offering of bread for toast. Decent coffee and tea, individual tea pot and cafetière of coffee. Rooms were very nice, you can tell in part where this hotel has been refurbished they have done a great job in the rooms and decor is smart and contemporary with nice touches with decent bed / mattress, good selection of teas and coffees and great quality; no cheap “catering style” offerings. The bathroom was slightly tired BUT this was clean and functional and didn’t affect my stay the room was really nice and the decent bed was a surprise so I was genuinely very happy with my stay. I stayed three nights and also used the restaurant with a work colleague - the steaks we had on the first night were amazing, 14 rib eye, so nicely cooked (it put the steak I had on the Saturday night before in a “premium” steak restaurant to shame!) so good I wanted one the next night but opted for the lamb shank, which was great too more pub grub than the steak but very tasty. Overall I have been staying in manchester for the past 4 years for business frequently, this place was a great find and I would definitely come back.

Disappointed by lack of Ale on “tap” they had cask mark but the MPA (Manchester Pale Ale) on the first night was the only “cask” ale on - by night two this was off - for a brewery owned location this was a shame as I really enjoyed the ale ok the first night!! Just wanted another pint!!😊

Firstly,I've drove past the hotel must be 10,000 times and always wanted to stay but never really had a reason to ,so when I had the need on Saturday I decided to book instantly, now I love the location and the look of the hotel, its always been special to me as ive drove past to visit my grans, aunts and uncles from being a 4 or 5 yr old ,I'm now 48, well ,the staff were amazing ,the room for me was just fab but it got better, the bed was one of the best beds I've ever slept in,the little touches like the bottles of water, the biscuits the hot chocolates and tea and coffee ,were nice the TV was great though I thought a little small for being a 4 star hotel ,in the village hotel chain the tv's are much bigger, but I still enjoyed the TV all the same, the bathroom was lovely, great shower and lovely and hot 🔥 great for me as I like a hot shower and the shower gels n shampoos were a nice touch looking elegant the towels were nice a big too I enjoyed my stay and had only 1 gripe but nothing that wouldn't stop me from staying again I'd stay in a heart beat

Couldn't find any muesli at breakfast or much fruit I like a bowl of muesli and a banana to sweeten it up other than that I had a fab stay
