The innkeeper was very kind and went out of her way to be helpful, even after I had unknowingly miscommunicated my arrival time--and she had just retired for the night. She arranged for my breakfast plans and made sure I was settled. My room was spacious and spotless. The bathroom was modern and high quality. Easy access to the airport at a fraction of the cost of an airport chain hotel. I was impressed and will stay again if I'm in Manchester.

We stayed there overnight before our flight from Manchester Airport. We arrived quite late, around 7:00 PM, from London but were given details for check-in, which was very easy. The hotel is very good value for money. When we arrived at hotel, Leda Cristina (hospitality professional) was so welcoming. We really appreciate the effort she made to make our stay so comfortable and answer all our queries at any time. She gave us all the required details and helped us to shift our heavy luggage to the room. The room was very clean and bright, the bathroom too - the shower was excellent!! The wifi speed was ready good. We wanted to do some shopping on the next day in the Manchester city centre, so we opted for a nearby tram station called Peel Hall (around 15 mins by walk) which provides a nice and cheaper connectivity from this hotel to the airport or to Manchester city centre. A taxi for 5:30 PM was nicely arranged by the Cristina. I would definitely recommend this place for a pre or post airport stopover.

There is nothing to dislike about. Everything was so perfect and nicely arranged by the hotel.

All went well, it was an overnight stay to be able to go to Manchester Airport early next morning. Breakfast was good and hot

We had understood from the publicity that there was a small restaurant on site, so we planned to eat on there. Sadly there wasn't. There were plenty of Take Away places and they were happy for us to eat in the breakfast room, but it was not what we'd planned. Also we understood that the lady in charge was going to book a taxi for next morning. We must have misunderstood as one wasn't booked. However the taxi firm were excellent arrived within minutes of our phone call & our daughter was duly delivered to the airport on time.

There's so much to like about this hotel. The location is brilliant if travelling to or from the airport, breakfast was delicious & fairly priced, the lovely owners treated all guests like family members and the bed & pillows were very comfy (seemingly a novelty these days!). Given the low price and all the other factors listed it's definitely the best option if you're needing an overnight stay for the airport.

The toilet lid was broken but it was no big deal really just had to be careful not to break it entirely. Staying in Room 9 near the front door meant there were varying amounts of noise from guests and the road outside but, despite being a light sleeper, I managed to sleep well.

The staff (Michael) was wonderful and the facilities are lovely. My room and bathroom were very clean, and there were big, fluffy towels, and plenty of pillows on the bed.

The only problem was that my room faced a very busy street, and the traffic went on all night. I'm sure other rooms are quieter. Michael apologized when I mentioned this in the morning, and said he'd given me that room because I was checking in very late, when there was no one on hand to help with my luggage, so he thought the room nearest the front door would be most convenient for me.

The owner was just so lovely. So welcoming and attentive. I arrived way past check in time where staff were actually there to check you in, yet he happened to be there at that time ... 10pm, (self check in was available if arriving after 9pm). He came out to the car park to greet me and helped me enter the hotel whilst providing me with the appropriate keys and carried both my bags. I was photographing a wedding the next day so had a large camera suitcase as well as my overnight suitcase. He was so kind and helpful that evening. He helped me to my room and made a sharp exit as to not hinder me in any way. He then, the next morning, greeted me with a call to my room to let me know my breakfast was ready. I promptly went down and he greeted me with a warm smile and showed me to the breakfast room and served my breakfast immediately. He also managed to find some Soya milk for me on asking if he had any. He was then so attentive and polite to all the other guests arriving down for breakfast shortly after me. Then when I came to leave he was, again, very attentive and efficient as I paid for my breakfast. He was so warm and genuine, nothing was a bother. He made the stay so pleasant and comfortable that you couldn't fault him or the hotel in anyway, only applaud him!

The only thing I would say is possibly the road noise, but really can't grumble about that as the property was situated on a busy main road, which I knew on booking. Maybe something could be placed in front of the window to muffle the sound? I'm not sure. The attention to detail and the host's unquestionable attentive, kind manner was more than enough and for the price it was superb.

Pymgate lodge was a lovely little hotel - more of a B&B feel, very personalised. The decor was very vintage and unique. It was very clean throughout the whole property. The lady who greeted us was really friendly, the breakfast was amazing and I'd highly recommend. Rooms were very clean, each room was very unique - we had 4 rooms and each was different. I loved that they were different it made it feel more like a home from home, somewhere you could be comfortable!

Only parking was a little bit tight but thankfully we all went up in one car

Distinctive decor, met at the door and welcomed in, the owner tried to shuffle my room as I’m 6’2 and had been allocated the loft room with a low beam, unfortunately I’d only booked the previous day and had the last room though. No harm done, I managed to avoid any damage to my head. Handy location for Manchester Airport.

Nice clean/tidy room and en-suite, the shower gave decent power and plenty of hot water but was a little ‘bijou’ for my size🤣 Wouldn’t have fancied carrying too much luggage up the narrow stairs.

Michael went above and beyond to help us with our last minute late night check in due to change of flights. The room was excellent, clean, tidy, warm and comfortable. Great extras of tea, coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits and bottled water. Very large white fluffy towels, extra pillows (always great), shower gel and soap and an amazing breakfast. Michael and his wife were so friendly and attentive. Everything about our stay was spot on and so welcoming

Nothing apart from one of the other inconsiderate guests in an Audi who parked over two spaces. The carpark is big enough for a vehicle for each room. We checked in after midnight and struggled a little due to the Audi owner's inconsiderate parking

Lovely greeting on arrival, couldn't have been more helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious, great value for money. Really close to the airport for flight in the morning too - free parking which is always a bonus!

Someone in the room above us was playing loud club music until past 11pm. We had to knock on their door to turn in down. Of course not the owners fault they were doing this, but they could be more proactive in making sure the place is quiet past a certain time
