The staff were very friendly and a real credit to the hotel. The breakfast was really tasty and the bar was very good considering it’s in a hotel. The rooms were very clean and a good size.

perhaps you can but I could not find a way of opening the bedroom window.

Our stay was enjoyable from start to finish. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the Eastgate Clock style room - the room was very clean and spacious. It came with complimentary drinks and snacks. The hotel has free WiFi. The hotel is in walking distance from Grosvenor Park and only a few minutes walk from the main high street in Chester for shopping. It’s also only a 10 minute walk from the railway station and from the bus exchange if you wanted to make trips outside of Chester ie Chester Zoo. It was a fantastic stay - we would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to stay in Chester. We will be returning.

Cannot fault this hotel.

The Hotel Indigo Chester was luxuriously appointed for the price point and the location is excellent. The common areas and restaurant are bright and stylish and we loved the small snack left for us as well as the nice robes.

The staff members themselves were polite, but the staffing of the hotel wasn't managed well. There was a line for check in and only one person at the desks, so we waited 20 minutes holding our bags. Before our stay, we were asked about room preference (which is great) but then asked a couple more times after that even though they repeatedly confirmed they'd received my preference. That undermined our confidence in the stay a bit- I was nervous they'd overbooked. The staff seemed harried and rushed in general (the restaurant was lively and the hotel busy while we were there).

Great decor, staff are lovely and we had a nice big room. The breakfast is amazing service was excellent. Appreciated the free drinks vouchers as part of the birthday package.

I didn’t have the best nights sleep because I could hear creaking noises and doors closing in the night. It might’ve been where the room was located but it didn’t feel very sound proof. Also the mattress was very firm and the pillows weren’t the best so I did struggle. Also if the only different between the King and the Deluxe King is the snack, Nespresso machine and bathrobe I would just go for the King because I didn’t really feel like that was worth it. Room also didn’t have a bath.

I had a call the night before from the manager, confirming details for check in and giving me advice on parking. When we arrived, he remembered he'd spoken to me and greeted us warmly. The room was quite small, but really comfortable and nicely decorated with some quirky touches. Free soft drinks and snacks were provided and there was ample hanging space. Bathroom was modern and very well appointed with lovely toiletries provided. I asked for more towels (there were plenty but I'd not spotted the spares in the wardrobe!) and these were delivered quickly with a smile. I had asked for a quiet room and we were allocated a room on the top floor well away from the lift although the rooms did seem to be very well soundproofed anyway. Breakfast is a mix of buffet and hot meals made to order - I have a food allergy and staff brought me fresh yoghurt and fruit from the kitchen so there was no risk of contamination on the buffet. Nice bar area. Location was close to the river and centre of town.

The car park the hotel directed us to (there's no parking on site) was the worst public car park I've ever been in. Extremely small spaces and two way flow with no space for cars to pass. The only place to pass is on the up/down ramps and not everybody realises this so it can take you a long time to get in and out. The hotel is situated very close to the city centre, but I strongly recommend turning right out of the hotel and walking into the city via the park / riverside rather than turning left and fighting your way through the seedier end of Chester even though this is the more direct route. It's ok in the daytime but not very pleasant at night.

This hotel is all about the location. Turn left at the corner and it is a short walk to the town centre. Turn right from the hotel entry and it is a short walk through the park to the river. An arrangement with nearby parking does reduce the cost a bit but it is quite close to the hotel. Another plus here is having a lift which eliminates the problem of having to drag cases up stairs.

Our room did not include breakfast which was quite expensive for someone who just has cereal/yoghurt and tea. The good news was we were able to negotiate with the breakfast room manager for a more realistic price which catered well for our requirements

The breakfast was absolutely fantastic! The hotel it’s self was very clean and very tastefully decorated, we had air conditioning which was very welcome. The bathroom was my personal favourite the shower was great! Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I liked everything about the hotel I guess the only niggle was it had no parking but it’s not the hotels fault and they do tell you this before you go! The car park on pepper street is a short walk but I would warn people that it is extremely narrow and it is multi-storey but the cars use the same entrance and exit ramps and it was a bit of a nightmare as we have a large car, be ok if you have a mini or something.

We loved our stay. Our room was small but gorgeous. Really clean and had everything you'd want, including white robes :) I loved being able to Chrome Cast my Netflix onto the TV. Our meal at the restaurant was delish and the staff were so lovely.

The only think I'd say I didn't like was when we walked into the restaurant we weren't advised of the Sunday set menu - I loved my meal but my 17 year old would have preferred something else. On the way out we noticed other people eating by the bar area which we probably would have preferred

The location close to station, city centre, park and river. An extremely quiet hotel. Obviously has great double glazing and sound proofing. Safe and secure. Excellent staff, well organised, very friendly and attentive in all departments. Tasty hot breakfasts. Comfortable, interestingly designed rooms. Two very efficient lifts. Fabulous air-conditioning system to cool the bedroom quickly in the heatwave. (Just need to press the tiniest - and not obvious - of buttons on top right of small black control box for on/off). Comfortable beds and room had all the necessary amenities.

The two control switches for electric power in the bedroom and bathroom confused us!! Sometimes electric lights on, sometimes not?!!

Lovely clean comfortable hotel, a short walking distance from the main centre of Chester. Styled nicely. Staff were very friendly. I would stay again and recommend. The bar/dining area looked really nice but as our stay in Chester was only short, we didn’t get a chance to use these facilities.

There is no parking. Unloading your luggage is a bit of a nightmare as the hotel is located on a main road with no loading area. You had to park your car a distance from the hotel and it costs money to park. The car park the hotel recommended was more expensive than another car park we used, just a little further away, so be aware of this. Despite this, I would still stay at this lovely hotel again.
