Room was spotlessly clean, excellent facilities, crisp white bed linen and plump soft pillows for an excellent night's sleep. 0530 departure for me but Kirsten very kindly left everything I needed for a buffet breakfast despite my late evening arrival. Dinner in the restaurant was fabulous and great value. Pictures don't really do the property justice, it's been really well done inside. Above all, the level of service and hospitality, especially from Kirsten was absolutely top notch and much appreciated.

Some might find traffic noise an issue but it actually was no where near as bad as I feared it might be. a) not actually too audible in room and b) traffic goes very light by late evening. Zero noise from bar reached bedroom which can sometimes be an issue in pub rooms. Not an issue for me at all in the end.

So happy we found this. Stayed here whilst attending a wedding at Peckforton Castle and the location was perfect. It’s such a beautiful property (the photos don’t do it justice!). Absolutely immaculate pub and bedrooms, and the room has everything you would need (loved the nespresso machine!). Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Lots of free parking. Staff AMAZING - we arrived very late and they were very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again no doubt.

Nothing!

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and answered any questions we had. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and the full English was delicious. Nice bar area. Will definitely use again if in the area.

Could use a bit of background music, the bar was quiet when we came in and just felt a bit too quiet. Same at breakfast, I am not suggesting music blasting out but a bit of quiet music would have helped, the room just felt a bit uncomfortable as at points there was no noise at all.

Excellent, freshly prepared and a lovely smiley waitress at breakfast. On arrival, it was lovely to be greeted by someone very friendly who took you to your room and showed you where everything was and explaiend the key fob etc. This is appreciated rather than just be pointed in the general direction of your room!

Someone else's clothes left in the wardrobe and the bin in the bathroom hadn't been emptied.

A very warm welcome was waiting for us upon arrival. we were given a choice of two rooms and plumped for Room 1. Nicely decorated, the bed was super comfortable, I usually struggle to sleep the first night in a hotel but I had no problems here. We ate in the hotel and we’re glad we did, food was extremely good (try the mash!). Breakfast was equally good the following morning. The team are professional, attentive and really friendly. I’d definitely stay here again. Thanks Egerton Arms, you were great!!

Would be great to have a few USB ports in the rooms but not a big deal.

Staff & owner were lovely, so friendly and welcoming. A little dated in places but still had a charm about the place. Very clean, good food. The continental breakfast had everything you needed. A little way out if wanting to go into Chester, as had a delay with taxi to get there but no problems coming back. Would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Just the difficulty getting a taxi, however that's not the hotels fault.

The staff were friendly and welcoming and literally went out of their way to help us! The veggie breakfast was very good (much better than other places we have stayed at). The bar, restaurant and garden were lovely and look like they have been recently renovated. The room was very clean and comfortable and perfect for a night away.

The room at the top of the stairs was tastefully appointed and the bathroom was cozy. There was an excellent and safe fire exit. The architecture was from the 1700s and had an extreme "tavern" vibe because it is a tavern. Breakfast was healthy and filled our appetites.

The room was very tiny and difficult to maneuver to bathroom in the dark. The bathroom window would not close tightly.

Fabulous value for money; room was immaculate and very comfortable, lovely shower. Staff super friendly and accommodating; nothing was too much trouble. Sadly didnt get to eat so can't comment on the food but given the standard of care and attention to everything else I'd guess it would be lovely! Would highly recommend.

Absolutely nothing!
