Reception was very welcoming and friendly and the pool/spa facilities were nicer than the photos show. Very clean spa & pool area. Spa staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The grounds were clean and there was ample parking. I had a nice view of the canal from my room. Room was clean and tidy.

The bathroom could have been a hair bigger as it was difficult to use the sink if the door was open as there wasn't space. Difficult to open it and then move around it to get it closed. Fine for one person but you couldn't have one person washing up and another in the shower or loo. It was tiny.

The facilities are first rate, the spa & leisure centre really good. Location wise it is just beautiful. In the hotel itself the staff were amazing, so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. On the front desk, Grace welcomed us and easily responded to (many!) changes we needed for our family wedding group 18! Sandra managed our room needs brilliantly and even helped carry our things to the car. Given our visit was for a family wedding, we had a couple of late nights, and Darren on reception later on was really kind and happy to chat with us and helped in several ways including replacing a non working key card later on! In the Water Side restaurant the staff there were also so kind and helpful with our large family group, Octavia and (forgotten her name!) the young lady getting married in a month or two (!) were especially kind and helpful. But everyone was there too. l

A nice hotel in an attractive location. The food and staff at the Waterside Restaurant are excellent and the food is good value for money. The room and beds were very comfortable. The reception staff were attentive and dealt with anything we requested.

The hotel was used by local firms for staff"away days"/conferences, and a number of staff stopped overnight. This is not unreasonable at all. However, the guests in the neighbouring room had the tv on and were talking until almost 11.00pm, at a level which we felt was rather inconsiderate for the time of night and prevented me from going to sleep. I telephoned reception about it and someone came up to the neighbouring room within 5 minutes and spoke to the occupants, who both turned off the tv and ceased taling at the volume they were beforehand.

Spotless. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was really goos. Spa was amazing. Complimentary happy birthday plate was a nice touch for my friend. Location was great, quiet but close by for things to do.

The main door to reception isn't electric, we had quite a lot of bags and had hands full so was quite hard to get through. There was no shampoo in the room, for a 4 star hotel I would of expected this. There was no fridge in the room either which was a little disappointing, especially in the hot weather. We did have an issue with our room key not working a few times but this was sorted promptly by reception. The reception areas and hallways are a bit dated and doesn't match the modern rooms, very clean and tidy just a little dated.

Lovely location, friendly staff. Excellent pool facilities and changing rooms. The bed was very comfy, except for the below. Dinner was excellent, and service quick. We appreciated that, although the restaurant clearly had enough space/tables for additional bookings, they had limited the number of bookings at dinner to match staffing levels, so the staff were able to provide a quick and efficient service.

The mattress was clearly two mattresses pushed together, which caused a rigid line down the middle of the bed, which was very uncomfortable if you crossed the line. As long as you stayed on your side of the bed, it was very comfortable.

Absolutely fantastic location. We had a garden room on ground floor which had a little patio with table and chairs to sit and watch the boats on the canal outside...ABSOLUTELY stunning! So relaxing. The room had a variety of hot drinks to choose from and biscuits too!

The Waterside restaurant was ok, service was very slow when the restaurant wasn't when busy. Good location as could sit and eat outside too. The cafe which was advertised as being open until 8pm serving ice creams etc closed early which was disappointing as we had promised guesta we met for dinner ice cream after!

The location and the pool was great loved the sauna and jacuzzi staff were very polite and helpful.

The hotel just need to maybe remind the visitors on arrivals about times, l went to the swimming pool and was told l only had an hour because of the weekends monday to Friday closes at 10.00pm which is good for the week days, Saturday, and sunday 8.30pm close, l would of liked the timetable mentioned more on arrival so we could plan the day, but we had a great time l would definitely recommend to freinds to go and relax and enjoy the facilities there.

The evening meals and breakfast were very tasty! We were helped with our choice of drink in the evening by a staff member by the name of Jon (hopefully correct name) he was super helpful and correct in his suggestions. The spa/pool was amazing. The massages were very good. We will be sure to return,

We were told we could use facilities from 12 as check in wasn’t until 3, we went to the spa, used pool, had treatments, but we were not really sure in what we could and couldn’t do as we’d never been before and it wasn’t really explained to us clearly.

Clean facilities.

Poor Communication: Not enough information on what spa facilities were available to hotel guests and when they could be used. Conflicting information from spa staff. Didn't use Cafe Ash as the information says it closes at 5pm and yet I noticed someone being served wine at 7pm. Small Bedroom: I have stayed in a Premier Inn with larger bedrooms. Breakfast: One of the 2 coffee machines note working. Would be better not to rely on the coffee machine for hot water for teas. No sweetener and no granulated sugar on one of the days. Spa Facilities: Key code locks not working on many of the lockers. Outside area not in use despite being advertised. Tiles missing in changing rooms. Pool lanes too narrow to swim a circuit when sharing with others.

Breakfast was al little disappointing as the plates were cold the food went cold very quickly. Excellent choice of breakfast. Dinner was very good but a little on the expensive side. The room was clean & spacious.

As I mentioned the breakfast plates were cold! We would have liked to have a pot of tea rather than having to get it from the machine as the water was on the cool side. The water in the swimming pool was VERY COLD. We spoke to some other visitors and members who all said the same!! It seems that the water is always cold.
