Lovely place and very dog friendly. We've not stayed in a hotel with our dog before. Staff did so much to make everything simple.
Disappointed that there was such a large charge to add our dog to the booking. £30 per night seems steep when the rooms aren't cleaned daily.

Nice location an easy walk into Llangollen if you use the footpath down the river side or just relax in the hotel.

The location was amazing as it was down the road from aldi but also less than a 5 minute drive into the town where all the restaurants and shops were. Bed was so comfortable we didn’t want to leave, it was perfect depth and bounce as one of us have back problems so that was phenomenal to sleep on. Room was quite warm but luckily fan was provided which I used due to heat sensitivity but also radiators we liked the heat of. The facilities such as the sauna and the hydrotherapy pool was incredible, first time I’ve done that and I just wanted to stay in it forever as it was so relaxing and well needed. Staff was incredibly helpful as we didn’t book the spa prior to arriving as advised but they it was peaceful and staff were friendly and we just wanted to stay chatting to them.
Only issue was the shower floor, it was tile floor and when wet, slippery but there was a mat provided thankfully so no slips!

We had a ground floor room, which was perfect as I'd just hurt my knee. Peace & quiet, spacious room, lots of light, garden view, comfy bed = good sleep. Easy 15 min walk (hobble) along the river to town & various restaurants, or just fish and chips or an oggie by the river. We didn't have an evening meal but breakfast was good. The Spa looked lovely but we just didn't have time - hopefully next time. The real bonus was it wasn't haunted like the nearby Hand hotel 🤣
We didn't realise on booking that we had to pay extra for breakfast, but it was fine. My Danish friend was looking forward to a generous full English brekkie. The buffet had lots of choice, no rolls 'tho. Hot food had to be ordered, one of everything was plenty really, but she wanted two!

The bar staff were excellent and went above and beyond to satisfy our group, very polite and pleasant. The room was very comfortable and clean. Claire the operations manager was very helpful and really wanted to make sure our group had been well catered for. The food in the Bar was excellent. Plenty of selection at breakfast both hot and cold food and drinks.
The cooked breakfast could have been better. The receptionist was very polite but could have been a little more understanding towards our request for parking our Motorcycles out of sight from the main road.

We have been going to this hotel for years. It is in a lovely spot if you just want to park up and enjoy Llangollan but also ideal if you want to visit other areas. Snowdon is only 45 mins away. The staff are lovely, always pleasant and very helpful and the beds are comfortable.
The last couple of times we have booked through Booking.com and I have noticed that the rooms allocated are on the ground floor. They could do with a little more attention when being cleaned which I did mention when I checked out. Behind the bathroom door hadn't been cleaned for some time. These rooms are a little 'tired'. Also, there was a dog in the room next door so I wonder if these rooms are always allocated to dog owners or Booking.com. It may just be coincidence but I wonder if when you book via the hotel you are allocated other rooms. I never had these rooms previously when I booked direct (we have stayed here numerous times), even though you pay the same price. In future I will book via the hotel so it will be interesting to see what rooms are allocated.

Room was very nice the hotel is in a lovely location and the lounge and bar area are very nice. The carpark is large and it is only a short walk to the town centre. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
No wi-fi signal in my back of hotel bedroom maybe they could do with some boosters for better signal. The spa costs an extra ££10 for an hour and £2 for a towel even if you are a guest (unless you book through their own site). I found this off putting and didn`t bother to use the spa. The bar meals are expensive and they really need to sort out the bathrooms. The shower has half a door so bathroom floor gets very wet, the toilet roll holder is on the far side of the room from the toilet so unless you have elastic arms you can`t reach it and there is no shelf to put your toiletries.

Clean facilities close to where we needed to be. Friendly, efficient reception staff.
Very loud with revellers leaving the premises. Eventually, the receptionist told a bunch of lads to shut up and move on as they were arguing right outside our window. Decent buffet breakfast but stone cold sausages and rock hard congealed bacon served as cooked breakfast. Hospitality is hard and unsociable work, I know as I have been involved all my life but the breakfast staff looked like they would rather be anywhere else but work.

It was a really beautiful place. They have lovely outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the flowers and the landscape and the views around you. They staff were very friendly and they have an onsite bar and restaurant although we didn’t try any of the food.
The windows for the room are pretty old so they’re only single pane which doesn’t keep out much outside noise and one window was difficult to close properly. The walls could feel a bit thin when hearing the room next door snoring in the night as well but overall the room was really nice and really big duvets which was great.
