Remarkably quiet.for its proximity to the motorway. As my purpose to visit family, friends, and former colleagues the location was fine and as the barriers were not in use for access to local roads it was ideal. Would probably not have been as good if barriers had been in operation .

Although because of the reason for my stay it would have been mainly unnecessary for me to use the Restaurant Due to the absence of any indication of menu or cost I was not encouraged to use this facility and on a couple of evenings I had evening meals in local venues.A mo,re proactive approach for the Restaurant would probably produce greater use

Couldn’t hear the traffic from the motorway, it was very quiet. Extra pillows available in the room. Can order food at reception and they’ll call when it’s ready (things such as pizzas/loaded fries are available), staff were friendly. Fan was provided in the room also.

The barrier causes a huge issue, the hotel doesn’t get given the code for a few hours after it’s changed, at one point it was out of order so I had to drive to Standish and back just to get to the hotel. I know it’s not necessarily the hotels fault, but it does cause them a huge issue which could do with getting resolved (even if it meant hotel guests getting something to scan to go through the gate that’s activated once the stay starts). Even when the gate was broken but stayed up, staff were still telling guests we couldn’t go that way out which was a bit confusing when the barrier was up. Shower wasn’t the most powerful if that’s what you prefer but it’s not unpleasant.

Very comfy beds, clean efficient shower, quiet room, very reasonable price (except for dog!)

Excessively high charge for our very well-behaved, non-shedding miniature poodle. The highest pet charge we've ever paid, £20 for one night, and nothing provided for our pooch at all, not a bowl nor a biscuit! Having just come from a very welcoming Scottish hotel which made no charge at all for our dog for 4 nights, and provided free chicken breast every night for him, the contrast was stark! Also, it was tricky locating the hotel entrance coming into the service area at night, two other cars and us were perplexed at how to actually locate the hotel car park and entrance. To make matters worse, more chaos ensuing cos the exit from the service area was closed, so more cars frantically trying to get back on the motorway😂

This hotel was clean and easily accessible from the M6 motorway, a blessing and not quite. The room was bright, clean and very comfortable with all the facilities one would need. The breakfast was great and everything was very fresh. Amazing value for money. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. I have previously stayed at a Days Inn and Ramada wins hands down on quality, staff attitude and price. Will certainly book Ramada hotels again.

There was a slight murmur of traffic noise all night, the previously mentioned blessing and curse. I noticed it since I live in an area where, apart from the night birds and animals, there is no noise after about 11pm.

Breakfast great, staff friendly and very helpful, room lovely and clean and very comfortable, really quiet.

There is no signage at all to direct you from leaving J27 of motorway, was total guesswork. On arriving at the no entry sign ( that we had been instructed by the hotel to ignore) and had been told to approach the intercom where there were rising bollards to restrict access Intercom didn’t work and neither did the rising bollards! But until we saw another car drive over I have to say I was more than reluctant to risk it. I was asked by a colleague at my meeting if I’d recommend the venue as we may meet regularly and I had to say the hotel was great and excellent VFM but poorly signed, especially when arriving after dark. Please sort this out Ramada as otherwise the hotel was spot on for an overnight stay

Location is excellent, room was good and comfy, a good dog friendly hotel with a good menu at the restaurant. Reece on reception was excellent and an asset to the hotel.

Restaurant staff… the chef and waitress went out to Starbucks leaving the restaurant unattended and us waiting a while for our food. The manager did try to cover it up by saying they were washing up, but we could hear her telling staff the chef was missing and we watched them walk away and walk back with their drinks as we were sat by the entrance. Better to be honest to guests as everyone deserves a break, or make sure someone is covering when staff pop out.

The staff were friendly , the hotel was cleanliness and fresh and the restaurant was great. The location of the hotel was in a good area for several food options. Our room was clean and had a fan which as great. The tv were decent sizes and worked well and the hotel has access to toiletries snacks and resources and the bar is great too. We felt comfortable for the 3 nights and had no issues at all with our stay. The staff were friendly and approachable :)

The upgrade for a double bed from two single beds was a bit pricey just for a double bed. However we just pushed our two single beds together to make a double.

I literally can not find a single fault with this place and I always find at least one little thing wherever we go! As soon as I walked in (or hobbled with a broken foot and 8 months pregnant), and my husband struggling with all of our luggage and the dog, the receptionist instantly explained that I had booked a top floor room and quickly re assigned us the ground floor room right next to the reception so we didn't have to walk far. All the staff were amazing and their customer service was excellent. Nothing was to much trouble! The rooms were spotless and accessible for anyone who is immobile. Something I would never usual notice or comment on but felt it is worth mentioning due to my situation and the broken foot and not been able to move! Perfect comfy beds! We had family stopping the day after too as we live in france and it was the perfect spot to meet and catch up with family. The receptionist instant too assigned them the ground floor rooms next to us which was perfect. Lovely large grass areas to the side and back of the hotel for dogs to run and exercise. The food in the hotel was fantastic. For £25 per person, you get a dinner meal and drink and then breakfast in the morning which we thought was a great deal. Great for anyone who fancies a more expensive meal and a beer or wine like my husband. Breakfast was also lovely. Great selection of hot plates of traditional English breakfast and then continental options and juices. We are already looking at booking here again for our next trip to England to meet family. Great base, safe and secure and right on the services and straight on motorway to head north. Its hard to tell your right on the motorway as you can't hear or see anything.

I can't think of one thing.

We have stayed here twice now. The facilities are good and the room is big and comfy for two adults, a child and a Labrador. Breakfast is exactly what you would expect which is perfect for us. We stay here on our journey to family in Wales.

The room was roasting hot for some reason. It wasn't especially hot outside. Someone had put a fan in the room but without an open window the hot air just circulated. When we opened the door we couldn't believe how warm is was. It took us a while to cool it down and as a result I got a migraine unfortunately. That wouldn't put us off staying again.

Great location away from the motorway noise yet so handy for motorway access. For what normally is a budget hotel location the Ramada at Chorley South had loads of facilities, with a nice restaurant and extras like a hair dryer. Stall were typical friendly northerners, helpful, polite and attentive. Chorley is a great access point for Manchester, Blackpool, East Lancs and the Lakes. Great for parking with loads of Tesler Chargers and a short walk on to the services.

Carpets in the foyer and the stairs could have been vacuumed to a higher standard. My room was near some refrigeration plant, so a little noise with the window open as it was hot. However noiseless fan was an extra in the room too.
