The swimming pool, steam room , very clean and lovely to use. The food in the restaurant for dinner, 4 of us ate here 2 evenings, superb food and staff in comfortable, lovely surroundings.
We stayed in the lodge style rooms no terrace. I would describe them as more chalet than lodge style. Very dark rooms, needed a light on at all times, rather than natural light. Curtains faded and dated. As ground level couldn't leave a window open during the night as no small opening windows in the bedroom. Beds squeaked on each turn. Bathrooms modern, mirror nightmare just steams up . Train track right behind us. However this is a 3 star.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and polite. The pool temperature was perfect and had jacuzzi and steam room all on hand with gym facilities upstairs all ideal and ready for use. Electric car charging points also available. Breakfast offered a great choice and was freshly cooked to order. The restaurant was kept immaculate with a friendly greeting from staff as you arrive. The food served in the bar was delicious and made to order. Our room was clean and welcoming with a cosy feel in one of the lodge rooms, so convenient with parking by the door. We enjoyed the town and its facilities too j7st a gentle stroll from the hotel making the location perfect. They also have solar panels to consider the impact on their environment. We plan to stay there again in the future.
There was nothing about the hotel I felt I didn't like. It has been well thought out and is being run efficiently, effectively and sustainably with a very friendly team.

The staff were first class. Efficient, friendly and helpful with a genuine desire to please. They easily sorted out an issue over a dining booking with no fuss at all and their service was excellent. Great location with great facilities too. The Welsh Breakfast was lovely. We hope to return.
Unfortunately, we went on a Tuesday. The restaurant isn't open on Tuesdays and (I think) Mondays. One has to dine in the bar. We did book a table, but somehow this wasn't communicated to the bar/waiting staff. Fortunately, a free table was found but we may have struggled to find somewhere to eat had it been busy. A minor communications issue which was the only bad point of a wonderful stay.

The facilities at the hotel were excellent. Guests get use of the pool and spa facilities which are small but for a quick swim are adequate. Food overall was very good. The breakfast is good with good quality ingredients and served at your table rather than buffet style. Staff were helpful and friendly. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere with bar area and outside seating. The lodges are comfortable and spaces. We had a lounge area and a patio where we sat and had morning coffee. The location is perfect for walking into the village and a great base for travelling around North Wales.
Hotel look a little tired in places. Could do with a lick of paint outside.

Well kept and nicely laid out mix of main building and ‘motel’ style lodges. Breakfast was good with great service. Lodge room was large and has a lovely patio to sit out on. Found us an alternative to our originally allocated room - actually an upgrade. Extensive use of PV solar panels to aid sustainability- though they probably rarely achieve full potential in Betws-Y-Coed! 😎
Original room was of adequate size and good condition but we could hear the loud sound of the hand dryer(s) in the Gents next door over the sound of the TV. Handled well by reception - see what we liked section.

Booked through Booking.com so it was straight-forward and we didn't need to pay until we arrived. It's in a great location, just minutes away is Betws-y-Coed where there are shops, eating places, scenic routes etc. and the scenery is great. You feel like you're out in the middle of nowhere but, you're not! Check-in was quick, plenty of places to park and we were able to park right outside our lodge. The lodges are comfortable, especially the bed and there's tea/coffee and biscuits for your use. Rooms are clean, tidy and cozy, great as a base for exploring the area and beyond. The Snowdon Railway is not far away, waterfalls all around and other tourist attractions are nearby. We had a bath and shower in ours which was great. If you need anything extra ie. loo rolls, teabags, just ask one of the cleaning staff or at reception and it arrives. We had 2 evening meals in the restaurant which is really nice, fairly priced and breakfast is awesome, served really quick and very tasty. Best dessert for me was the Chocolate Cheesecake! Even managed to get a swim, 4pm so it was really quiet in there and it's a great pool. All in all, thoroughly recommend. In fact, already booked a return visit for later in the year.
Restaurant was closed on Sunday evenings

The room, staff, pool and everything were as expected. It's a nice place in a lovely area of the country. The full Welsh breakfast was nice but not spectacular. A mixed bag of quality. The bacon was amazing but the sausage seemed cheap and frozen.
The breakfast and pool could have been better but I have no complaints. My only issue with the pool/spa was the lingering smell of old pool water. I don't think they change it very often. It was a bit too busy for my tastes but there's not much you can do about that. Our stay was marred by awful weather but the staff were helpful and friendly.

We stayed here to climb Snowdon as it’s only 30 minutes away. Accommodation was clean, bed was comfy, shower was fantastic!! always hot water. We ate at the bar restaurant food was lovely. Breakfast was really nice. All of the staff we encountered were really really friendly and helpful they couldn’t do enough for us! From making our toast at breakfast to giving advice about the Snowdon paths etc Hotel is in a great location, can walk into the village which has cute little shops, restaurants, bars and a beautiful area to walk and spend time.
After Snowdon we wanted to use the pool, sauna and jacuzzi and was so disappointed that the jacuzzi was not open. One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was to unwind there afterwards so this was such a shame and otherwise we would have rated it a 10.

All the facilities at their property including their services are excellent, very friendly staff, welcomed us warmly, guided us when asked, found them always with a smile on their face. Food (had a set menu) was freshly made and served on table, hygiene and cleanliness was maintained in the restaurant, rooms, toilets, swimming pool. This property is on the main road, easily accessible and is surrounded by nature, lots of greenery, can see mountains, amazing scenic beauty. Loved our stay for 5 days in this property.
Nothing that I could think of....

Friendly staff. Good breakfast freshly made to order. Ease of walking to Betws centre. Parking. Although we were a couple it seemed very friendly towards families and dogs. Decent size room, well equipped.
Probably an issue for most accommodation in Betws but it was a warm day and the hotel room was very hot which necessitated having the window open -unfortunately the a5 on which the hotel is located is very noisy (tbf a fan was provided). Not the fault of the hotel but apparently booking.com had passed on the booking for 1 person not 2. This meant I had to pay extra on the day for an extra breakfast - otherwise wasn't an issue. Staff told me this often happened with booking.com bookings!
