lovely property, located about a 5 minute walk from main village, 5 min walk away from the Pack Of Cards pub with amazing food, comfortable and relaxing place to stay, owners were lovely and enjoyed a chat, probably the best place I’ve stayed this week on my walking holiday, breakfast was great, offered more toast and coffee

This is being picky, but took the wrong steps and found myself on the road next to the hotel, so maybe signage could be improved, even though there is a sign for the hotel but doesn’t make it clear where to go

A haven from the rain after a long day spent walking. Great hot shower and comfy room nodded off very easily . Owners were welcoming and helpful. There was a very good Breakfast , just what you needed to set you up for a very steep walk to the Hangman. Combe Martin was an interesting place to wonder around in the evening. Would recommend the quirky Pack o Cards for an evening meal. Great food and welcoming Bar

Nothing really - just that it rained a lot when we were there, but that wasn't really the fault of anyone apart from the Weather1

The location is just right. Although parking was available, my car grounded every time on the camber on the bottom! And i have a higher car too. Nice breakfast, nice shower. Clean crisp sheets. Lovely puddycat, Meg

Mattress was a little lumpy bumpy but adequate I suppose… I had a spider in my room that was too high to reach so we shared the room ☺️ he didn’t complain.

A nice friendly welcome and the room was very clean. The drive is very steep and in a very heavy car with out a hand break very hard to manoeuvre. Should have parked on the pay and display down the road but did not know about it at the time.... Just one small thing the room was cold and no back up heating which could have helped. The male owner could have been a bit more happy on breakfast service but that may have been his happy.....

The good things Great location. Clean rooms. Lovely breakfast. Would stay again but will use the car park down the road or get a smaller car!!!!

it was quiet and comfortable a short walk to the harbour with cafes and bars ...saffron house has everything needed for a pleasant stay....

parking could be a slight problem as the slope is steep but once mastered will be ok..

Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice for individual needs. Rooms and en-suites were clean. Hosts were approachable and very accommodating. Gardens were pleasant to sit in. Swimming pool was available on request.

This is just a personal dislike because of personal mobility problems. I found the stairs very steep.

Lovely room and very nice breakfast. Owners were very friendly and more than happy to be flexible and let us in a little early to get changed when we arrived ahead of attending a wedding nearby. Would definitely recommend!

Pleasant welcome from friendly hosts. Quiet room at the back with double bed for myself. Ample drawers and wardrobe with plenty of hangars. Nicely fresh cooked breakfast and enough choices.

Breakfast starting at 8.30 a little late for walkers like me facing a long day on the SW Coast Path. Bathroom on small side, and always needed light and fan on, without windows

Wonderful staff - so accommodating and friendly. A real home from home with clean, comfortable rooms, great breakfast and everything you need for a really pleasant stay! Would definitely be happy to stay here again in the future and recommend to family and friends

Good friendly welcome, breakfasts were very good & hot. Location was very good, free parking was a bonus.

Couldn't say we didn't like anything, only comment would be to change the bedside table lights. I couldn't read a book, as the light was very dim.
