I received a warm welcome on arrival. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious with ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was excellent! It's a lovely old house, well maintained and very clean. Although St Brannocks Road is one of the main routes into the town there was no traffic noise. Parking was good. I would definitely choose to stay here again in the future. One thing to be aware of is that the driveway is quite steep and curved at the top and bottom. Be careful when leaving the premises as main road visibility is limited. I found it best to emerge slowly with my hazard lights flashing. This is true of all the houses on that section of the road so it's not something that could be easily changed. It's a historic 'feature'.

Just such a lovely place to stay. Very quiet hotel conveniently located for visitors exploring North Devon, it's also near Exmoor, horse riding up the road. Bus stop a few yards away if you don't drive. . Within walking distance to Ilfracombe town. Ample free hotel parking. Clean, warm hotel, fresh decor, plenty of towels etc. Nice crisp bedding. On my booking breakfast was included which featured the works! Was delicious. Great service. Free WiFi which was a good connection. Hosts were lovely and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend.

Amazing hosts so caring and helpful hard working happy and so pleasant to be around very clued in to guests who want privacy and space but also so informative of trips and bus times wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend this band b perfect breakfast was delicious the hosts went out of their way to make sure every thing was to your requirements even down to asking if you wanted something for breakfast as we are quite late risers thankyou Marg and Nick for a fab time if you want cleanliness comfort and friendliness hosts in a clean comfort envitoment this is the place to stay at a reasonable price anx wel worth every penny carry on the good work hopefully we will be back soon

We were greeted with the friendliest welcome, our room was much nicer than I expected. It was very clean and very comfortable, so much that we had a take away rather than walk into town. The room was tidied and refilled with tea etc whilst we were out the following day which I didn’t expect and was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious and it was lovely that there was oat milk, especially as I hadn’t requested it. If I needed a bed and breakfast again I would stay here as I know it’s perfect for what we needed.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Greeted with a big smile when we first walked in. Very friendly and happy to help us with directions and things to do in the local area. Homely throughout but also very clean. Rooms are very spacious, and we couldn't have asked for anything else. Instant hot water in the shower. Pressure 10/10. Breakfast, again 10/10! Spot on! Needless to say, when we return to Ilfracombe, we wont be needing to look anywhere else for a place to stay. Many thanks!

Cairn House was spotlessly clean, Margaret & Nick were just so lovely and so efficient. Breakfast was fabulous, I have to give 10/10 for the scrambled eggs. My gluten and dairy free requirements were met too with such ease. Both had great knowledge of the area too and gave us some great pointers. We also had a love surprise of a bottle of Prosecco as it was our anniversary during our stay. We highly recommend Cairn House and have already booked our next visit in September.

Owner very nice to speak to and nothing was to much trouble . Very knowledgeable about local area. Nice clean property throughout,great sized room with distant view of the sea. Comfortable bed with decent sized en-suite ,and plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space and good sized tv .Good selection of cereals fruit yoghurt and juices as well as a beautiful cooked breakfast. Great location, 20 minute walk into centre of Ilfracombe , all downhill , and a £5 taxi ride back up if you didn’t want to walk back uphill. There is also a bus stop just outside which also takes you into town ,or Woolacombe and even Westwood ho . There is also an honesty bar ,where drink prices are fantastic.

Although we had requested a room on a lower floor, our hosts had upgraded us to a family room which was on the second floor. Our hosts apologised for their oversight but we were actually very happy with the room which was nice and large, very clean and the bed very comfortable. There was also a very large flat screen tv. Breakfast was well catered for with a choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, juices etc. and the cooked breakfast was very tasty.

The hotel and it's grounds are very well maintained and exceptionally clean. It shows that they put a great deal of effort into this. Car parking was plentiful, nice and secure. The rooms were very well prepared and serviced every day throughout our stay. Breakfast was very nicely prepared to our liking and plenty of it. I would most certainly stay there again for sure. WIFI in the building and we walked from the hotel every day.

There is nothing I could say here as it was exactly how I expected my stay to be.

I liked everything. I arrived a bit later at night than previously arranged and the owners were very welcoming. The house was lovely and very clean and comfortable. I'd just booked a single room but, when I arrived, it had been upgraded to a double bed (very comfortable). The breakfast was delicious and gluten-free (I'd only booked the stay the afternoon before I arrived). I would definitely recommend this guesthouse very highly and it was good value for money.
