The check in was quick and friendly. They helped us with some special repuests, needed buckets of ice for an ice bath (I was on a 70 mile charity run) by the time we had got to out room the ice was there. The rooms with a view over the golf cours and hills are really worth requesting. The guy who worked in the bar and restaurant and the young lady in the restaurant were superb. The rooms are spotless and clean. Loved the place

The walk from some of the car park spaces can be lengthy so drop your bags off first at reception then park. The plugs in the baths do not seal the water and we had to block the plug hole ourselves. We tried four rooms (two seperate nights, two seperate rooms each time, all the bath plugs are the same. A very minor issue

Room was clean and perfect for our needs. It did overlook a terrace which luckily wasn't used during our stay as could have caused some noise. We had tea and breakfast. Both were really nice and quality was super. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Pool facilities were closed during our stay, but in general they are really good and my children really enjoyed the ten pin bowling.

To be honest, we were happy with all aspects of our stay. If the terrace outside our room had been used it would have been less peaceful, but maybe we'd have been placed elsewhere as a family with young children.

set in a beautiful setting, golf course and lake! views are excellent. place was clean! room nice, staff helpful & friendly . really nice place

the spa is still closed and apparently been closed for awhile? when will this be in use? as it will be lovely when it is. only 1 towel in room. my friend had allergies so requires vegan and gluten free meals. although the hotel restaurant provided something. there wasn’t much choice so could do with improving. food was lovely but menu was quite pricy and there was only pizza on the bar snacks (although very nice) maybe a few more options/inc cheaper snacks?

Lovely modern room, I really liked the skylight window above the bed.

breakfast offering was quite limited, would prefer a coffee machine for latte, cappuccino etc. Only non alcohol drinks offered were beer or soft drinks. There is a huge choice of non alcoholic drinks available now, including ciders, gin, nosecco etc. As a female who is allergic to alcohol who doesn't like beer I feel like a child drinking coke or orange juice and it marks me out as being 'different' when socialising with colleagues.

Always polite and professional Nice breakfast , nice a la carte meal as well

I normally have the prawn cocktail from the bar menu every month and I have a couple of bread rolls - this time the bread rolls was a buttered bap! I was not in the mood to complain as I just met some business colleagues and I just drove up from London - so that was poor and to be honest put me off my snack

The view from the room was amazing, the kids were able to wake up and see the ducks on the lake. We all slept very well on comfortable beds. Lots of room in the family room, and a very clean, nice sized bathroom. We stayed for dinner which was a 3 course buffet. We chose the beef roast dinner option and the children ate off the children's menu. Breakfast was also a buffet of cooked breakfast, continental and cereals. Both meals were very tasty and very filling. We all enjoyed our stay.

Unfortunately the leisure facilities weren't open as they were under maintenance.

Great breakfast in pleasant surroundings and our room was very comfortable and clean when we arrived.

Sadly we came back to our room to find that it had not been made up from the previous night. The night staff were able to bring us clean cups and replacement coffees etc but it was an obvious and basic oversight

The room and beds with en-suite bathroom etc, and hanging/ storage space for clothes were all very good and as expected. The one evening meal we had was exceptional, with friendly and helpful staff. Likewise the two breakfasts we had were excellent! So much choice! And our breakfast ‘lady’ was so friendly, approachable and helpful.

The room felt a bit cold. On our second night we asked for extra covers and 2 duvets were delivered very quickly. Unfortunately our room faced the service area, on the first morning we were woken by noisy bin lorries and clattering bins around 5 or 6am, which we didn’t expect or want, after a long journey to Hellidon Lakes and a wedding the next day. Also aware of continuous hum of either air conditioning units below our window, or some other mechanical device. The room Some noise either above us or in neighbouring rooms or corridors, drawers opening and closing maybe. Mostly quiet during the night, however. It didn’t seem worth requesting a room swap for only 2 nights’ stay, but another time we would ask for a room with a view or odd numbers.

The receptionist who greated us was the best receptionist I have experainced at a hotel in my 30 years of travelling. She was incredibly helpful and all through our stay was polite and hospitable. I wish I could remember her name it may have been Dina. She was on the desk on Friday at 1pm and saturday mornign anyway. I have never filled one of these in she is the reason I have. Post covid service standards have droped through the floor she is a perfect example to others of what is required for a front facing role you should be very proud of her.
