A very friendly welcome. The room was big as was the very comfortable bed. A large clean en suite.

Sadly a couple of things let it down- the bin in the bathroom hadn't been emptied, the curtain in the bedroom had come off the rail and there were tea/coffee marks on the paintwork by the window. A little more care with the cleaning would make a huge difference. Because the staff were so friendly and the room was very comfortable, I wouldn't let these things put me off staying again, but I hope they have been rectified.

The fact that the place was oozing with character and personality, it has a fascinating history, the bedroom has one of the most comfortable bed’s I’ve ever slept in, the staff are the friendliest, most down to earth lovely people you could ever wish to meet who can’t do enough for you and you serve the best pies I’ve ever eaten in the most fascinating, colourful, character filled restaurant and B and B I’ve ever been to and stayed in. I can’t wait to come back with my partner next year ( or possibly sooner! )

There’s nothing to dislike about Mad O Rourke’s, it’s just perfect!

Great food, fun staff. There was a very comfortable bed and good soundproofing from the windows. Other than sound from the road outside it was really quiet during the night. Excellent location to stay before visiting the Black Country Living Museum or other central Dudley whatsits.

Although there was a kettle in the room it wasn't possible to put it under a tap in the shared bathroom. (Note: I didn't pay for en-suite.) Yeah, I could've filled it cup by cup. I'd loved to have had breakfast there but alas it's not offered.

We stayed at Mad O'Rourkes because it was near to The Black Country Living Museum we wanted to visit. I always try to book something either historical or quirky and Mad O'Rourkes is certainly quirky. Plenty of room in the car park. We were allowed to check in early. The room was much larger and more modern than we expected and the bed was enormous and extremely comfortable. We ate at the pie factory on the 1st night and the meal was good. On the 2nd night we walked to Tipton high street and ate at Zahra Spice Indian restaurant which was the best indian meal we had ever had (and the cheapest)!!! I also recommend a visit to the Living Museum - it was a great day out and we learned so much.

Everything was great

I was part of a group booked for dinner. We were seated with plenty of space. Service was excellent. Food and drink as always was superb. My room (1) was just as I hoped. Was clean and got a good night's sleep. This room did not have ensuite, but use of shared facilities. It was a modern facility and could not fault it - pleasantly surprised. Excellent value and so pleased I can fall into bed rather than get a taxi to hotels elsewhere!

TV could be newer / bigger in the room.

Friendly welcoming staff, price of accommodation and food was very reasonable. The room was clean and basic, Lots of parking and excellent food. Pub is a true old style quirky Black Country experience.

Was noisy between 10-11 pm when cleaning the pub as music is loud while they clean. No chair or stool in the room, and tiny towels that didn't dry you.😂.

The room was very clean and tidy. Nicely furnished with TV and perfect for my needs. Ensuite was compact but perfectly laid out and suited my needs. I dined in the pub below the room and the food was amazing - a pie of course! I parked in the car park which felt secure with cameras.

The road noise before nightfall was constant so having the window open made it noisy. However, it did quieten down and I had an OK sleep.

The welcome and staff was genuine and heartfelt, Nikki was brilliant when we arrived. The room was clean and comfy and the food was to die for. The whole place had an atmosphere of family, fun and of good community spirit. We loved every minute there and would recommend anyone visiting this area get a room there and try the food, you will not be disappointed at all

I was in room (7) which was fine with en-suite except that the shower temperature could not be adjusted and was boiling hot. I made several attempts to find the correct temperature but there must have been a fault or problem with the plumbing. Instead I used the communal shower so no point paying for a private room with en-suite.

only a couple of things, one is the amount of plug sockets, in todays world there needs to be more or a couple of extension leads also not sure if it was my fault and it was advertised but its a shared bathroom, even was sparkling clean wasn't ideal
