On a busy roundabout, with poor sound insulation

We booked this hotel as it was were we spent our first wedding night 40 years ago! The staff were very welcoming and even gave us a bottle of bubbly to celebrate. The room was comfortable and clean and the hotel was well located for the town centre, Dudley Zoo and the Black Country Museum. The kitchenette is very useful but breakfast and evening meals are also available at the The Office bar and restaurant which is part of the Hotel.

More information could be made available regarding the availability of breakfast and evening meals at The Office. The room was sometimes noisy from outside traffic which has increased significantly since we were last there! - double glazing would help.

Very clean the staff were very efficient and friendly any problem I had was sorted out straight away. by the reception desk staff they were so good. Also was a great bonus to have the peaky blinders bar which was great my mum is a big peaky blinder fan so this was great for her. Tony the owner has done a fantastic job in this bar we loved it. Michelle who works in the kitchen was great she was working on her own and nothing was to much trouble even though she was very busy. All in all we had a fab time I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is a peaky blinder fan and also a great base for Black Country living museum which was why we chose this hotel .

Lovely building, very comfortable bed, staff VERY pleasant and helpful, Excellent food.

Bedroom was a bit on the cold side, no hot water from tap. (These matters could nave been down to my unfamiliarity with the type of systems in use). Another very minor niggle, would have liked hot chocolate as an alternative to tea and coffee, as I do not drink the latter. However, I do wish to stress that none of these minor criticisms detract from the very high standard of service I received at this hotel.

Kitchen in room great, when tired cook in room had toaster etc, shower ok.

Not much of gap between toilet and shower although both worked that's a bonus :). Could do with instructions for cooker, ended up cooking all food in microwave good microwave. ? Maybe need right pans for that type of cooker ? Anyway instructions would be great.

The location was great and just a 10 minute walk into town, The hotel staff were friendly and the room was good. It certainly helped having a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities

The shower!!! Only a very small trickle of water unless it was on cold. Good job we were only there for 2 nights, but this certainly lowered my scoring for the hotel! Also, on one of the nights, no food was available as the hotel was hosting a wedding reception. Not really my problem - we were still guests, and were looking forward to enjoying a meal there.

nice clean room with kettle and welcome tray with tea coffee biscuits etc. also microwave, hob dishes and pans etc to self cater if you wish.Staff were really helpful. Attached Bar, run as independent business with a Peaky Blinders theme. you could buy meals and snacks there and staff were brilliant.

A bit noisy during my stay because of Road works outside to install lines for the new trams. But this was out of the control of the hotel. Quiet in the nights though.

The room was large with a small kitchen, microwave, electric hob. Bed was very comfortable. The food was good, all in all very reasonable price. Great if you love Peaky Blinders, there is memorabilia everywhere.

Shower fitting were hanging on for their life or possibly just badly fitted. Kitchen work top was stained or faded. I'm being picky, this was a great place to stop over and good value.

The staff were super friendly, loved the size and facilities of the room. Loved the games room but sadly didn't visit the gym 🤦🏻‍♀️ Restaurant/bar was lovely and the food enjoyable. 😁💜

Room was a bit warm for our daughter but tbh we didn't attempt to turn off the radiator just opened the window which we had to prop open with a towel. 🤭 The shower was shall we say 'interesting' 🤭🤣

Location ideal for Black Country Museum and Dudley Zoo - both just across the road. Friendly staff and comfortable bed. Bonus was small kitchenette in the room. Particularly liked the "Peaky Blinder" themed bar and restaurant. Breakfast good too.

Only downside was the road closure along side the hotel. Thought it might be noisy but is wasnt.
