Staff were very friendly. The room was clean and furnished beautifully. The food was good and the terrace lovely for drinks. Breakfast was excellent and offered traditional full English and a range of vegan, vegetarian and other tempting choices. I would definitely go back there. The location enabled us to walk straight onto the high street with its historic buildings and great shops and eating venues. Parking is available close by. We would recommend the Gothic house and will be returning there. Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable.

I arrived late in the evening and had to call a number to be let in. The lady was super quick arriving and very efficient and friendly. The room was lovely and clean and warm and perfect for a solo stay. As this was out of season the breakfast didn't start until 10.00am (at the cafe below) which was a shame but there are plenty of choices on the high street. Location was fantastic. Room was really quiet with a beautiful view of the church from my window.

Having breakfast on site. Always appreciate a bottle of water in the room and there wasn't.

The room was nice and spacious The staff were very nice, lovely and chatty Felt secure with the two doors We felt like it was a good location in the town - while it wasn't right in the centre, it was a little out but it was close enough to walk in

The only thing I will say is that we didn't know what to do with the key on checking out - we were checking out on a Sunday and the place downstairs didn't open till 10 so we had to wait for someone to be in there to hand the keys over to them. Also we didn't know what time check out was - we assumed 10 (as like most places) but the website said from 8-10 so I was a little on edge from 8am thinking they'd want come in and we'd need to rush and get out quick (these were the only negative tho! Otherwise it was a great little place! Clean! Friendly! Walk walking distance to the main town centre!)

The location could not have been more perfect. The view from our room was breathtaking— Tudor homes line the opposite street and give a wonderful village ambiance. The room itself was sumptuously appointed, with a huge tub and enormous armoire. Very comfortable bed and linens.

Our only issue was getting the radiator adjusted properly, but I think that was perhaps down to operator error on our end, as the room was quite warm when we arrived.

Great location right next to an old part of town. The paid (reasonable price) car park was a 5 minute walk and is in a good area. The adjacent CJ's bar was good for a drink/cocktails and a light bite with very friendly service. Our room overlooked St Swithins Church which was nice.

No breakfast, but there was a very good breakfast place (one of several) over the road, I can't remember what it was called.

The rooms were really lovely, beautifully furnished and very clean. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and more welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. We were pleased to have fresh milk and not have lots of little single use plastics with drinks and in the bathrooms. the food in CJ’s was very good and we enjoyed a drink there in the evening. The beds were very comfortable.

If we had to say anything then the shower could have been a bit warmer. The rooms are above the bar so there was some noise but this wasn’t a problem at all for us but if you’re very sensitive to noise before 11pm bring earplugs.

Friendly check-in at CJs downstairs. Owner had agreed to hold packages that were mailed to me at hotel and Gosia [sp.?] brought them to my room. Room was quiet and comfortable. The following day, another woman working in the cafe made a taxi reservation for me.

TV wasn't working, but I only turned it on to catch the news, so that wasn't crucial; I went online instead and wifi worked fine.

lovely room, tastefully furnished and bright. comfortable bed and great night sleep. great tea and coffee tray, lots of milk! appreciate the touches and plenty of soap etc in the bathroom. the staff were amazing, very welcoming and extremely helpful!! first time here for the races at lingfield, Chris and his wife were so helpful when we had problems with getting a cab. they offered to drop us off and gave plenty of advice and info regarding journey back. thank you both so much. full English breakfast perfect! great value for money.

We had our delicious breakfast (not included in the price) on the wooden terrace at the back of the wine bar/cafe next door which is also part of the B&B. It was delicious and we had a stunning view of the church in the sun, perfect! The staff were delightful and charming.

Ideally we would have liked a second chair in the room to put clothes on and a wider table as surfaces were minimal and there were not enough places to put things on! We also couldn’t find BBC 1 on the complicated TV! But actually it was all very lovely with excellent delightful staff.
