This hotel is very central to both old and new town, just a 2 minute walk to The Scott Monument and the train station. The hotel is very comfortable and very welcoming. The design is very quirky, with a contemporary style. The room was small but had very comfortable beds and the shower was amazing! The room also had quite a big TV with working English channels and Netflix. The breakfast was continental but had a very good selection of food. Tourist information was provided in the lobby with a button to call City Cabs which only required a short wait for a taxi right outside the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a fabulous Italian restaurant right next door to the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel for short visit to Edinburgh.

Nothing!

First stay at Ibis Style, Edinburgh. Perfect location for attractions, restaurants and pubs in the city centre. Received very warm welcome on arrival. Very impressive Reception area - well appointed and quirky. Room was delightful - beautifully furnished with an extremely comfortable bed. Bathroom was tastefully decorated and the shower was outstanding - no issues with water pressure at this hotel! Breakfast in the morning was very tasty - good selection of continental items in a very relaxed setting. This hotel has moved to my top 3 in Edinburgh - looking forward to my next visit!

Nothing to highlight here.

Had a fantastic 2 night stay - lovely hotel great modern vibey design interior - room small but spotlessly clean and everything you need - wonderful shower ! - and very well sound proofed - the staff were so incredibly helpful and polite nothing too much trouble - great bar space to chill (great live music on the Friday night) - the continental buffet was outstanding such a wonderful selection to suit all tastes - perfect location for all the tourist spots and great restaurants on the doorstep (we recommend Tiles and Libertines for amazing food and service) - it was our anniversary and the staff had left a lovely card with beautiful words and gorgeous shortbread tin - thank you sooooo much🥰 - we will be back ! 🥰❤️-

I loved that the staff were very helpful I asked a few questions about were to go also the breakfast had lots on offer and very healthy lots to eat when we were leaving hotel they offered us if we were going shopping we could leave our cases so nice also a brilliant location so central shops right at the next st great restaurants in the square so I don't have far to travel.would definitely recommend it I normally go bk April or may but now I know we're going no hesitation definitely the ibis.

The only problem was the rooms are small when we went in but warm and bed was comfortable.so everything else was much more positive s .

Vibrant atmosphere with lots of art & framed posters from the annual Fringe festival. Young staff were all friendly& helpful. The breakfast selection was as diverse as any 5 star hotel. The room was comfortable & the bathroom was so modern and beautiful. As a woman traveling alone, I appreciated the security of having to have use your room key to use the elevator. I highly recommend this hotel.

May be a little difficult for people with mobility issues to enter the hotel by the front steps.

First off; the hotel is very central, and you are in walking distance to some of the best attractions as you are right next to Old Town. Edinburgh Castle is a mere 10-15 min slow walk away. And the quiet bar/restaurant street og Rose Street, and the more aktive Princes Steet are just parallelle streets to the hotel, and opposite you have your high fashion area, with L.Vuotton, Burberry, Chanel, Swarowski and so on. Staff was friendly and accomodating.

Well.. the single room (queen) was a lot smaller than expexted. Nice bathroom. NICE shower! Comfortable bed. Was missing a chance to get the suitcase off the ground instead of squatting when choosing clothes. Did not try the breakfast, but found the menue a little lacking when it came to dinner. Chose to eat out as there are a lot of good choices within a few blocks, like G.Ramsey. The bar had a good range of wine, spirits and cocktails. Thumbs up for that. And live music on occations made the start or end of the night perfect.

The location is perfect. It is close to the major attractions as well as the train station. The staff was super welcoming and flexible. They allowed me to check in a bit earlier at no extra charge and were patient with the explanations about the place. The room was well-decorated and very clean. There was a lovely kettle with tea, coffee, and cookies in the room. There was a nice shower in the bathroom. The breakfast which is included was amazing!! 5 stars out of 5. It easily can be a brunch because they have a wide array of pastries, cereals, cold cuts, and drinks.

The room was very small. It was smaller than most hotel rooms where I have stayed with Ibis. There was not much natural light either. It felt a bit boxed in. I think most of the rooms are very small in this hotel. My impression was that they had renovated the building and had made as many rooms as they could. Like many modern hotels, you can't open the window to get fresh air, which I found frustrating. I could not turn down the temperature past 18 centigrades.

The Works rooms on the top floor are bright, spacious and have excellent views of the city. The corner room 606 has views from Leith 180' degrees to the castle and looks over St Andrews square. Bit smaller than the others up there but the balcony is large and wraps round the room. Last time I stayed there were toiletry gifts, fluffy robes but this time not. Its very private and quiet too. Breakfast is a bit dull but there are plenty of quirky cafés nearby for something more exciting if you wish. Location is perfect for New Town or 10 minutes to the Royal Mile. Good value.

Ou room and ensuite were compact but well designed and sparkling clean, with everything we needed including a seating area and tea/coffee supplies. Bathroom had rain and wall showers, great water pressure, Arran Aromatics toiletries, and the mirror did not steam up. The bed was very comfortable and the curtains were truly blackout. Buffet breakfast had a very broad selection of options and the location for city centre attractions and shopping could not be much better. Reception and bar staff were friendly and helpful. It was an unexpectedly good find and we loved it, thank you.

There was nothing we did not like however, it took a while for the room to warm up but when it did it was perfect. We did stay on one of the few coldest days in January 2025, so this won't be a problem most of the time.

This place is a gem. Close to everything, very safe location, funky decoration throughout and a great team working there. Zoltan made sure my parents initial impression of Edinburgh was "oh wow". He went above and beyond to welcome us. I am very grateful for his thoughtfulness. The 2 rooms we had were lovely. Modern decor all around with views over the city from the 6th floor. The rain shower in the ensuite was incredible. I liked that there was a chilled filtered water fountain in the corridor outside the room. A very impressive breakfast, something for everyone. The porridge was particularly tasty. Good use of the space for self service. I have already recommended this hotel to friends.
