Great location. The hotel is within walking distance to Edinburgh Castle and there are lots of lovely restaurant around the hotel area as well. The hotel staff are very nice. We had a clean and decent size room with tea/coffee maker. They also have a proper coffee machine and hotel housekeeping were so nice to give us coffee capsule when we asked for some as we used all of the ones provided. We also enjoyed their breakfast buffet.

We were in room 336 and we can hear a sliding door opening and closing. This sound starts at around 8am and sometimes we can hear it in the afternoon as well. We got used to it in the end BUT would've been nice if we didnt hear it at all. The tiles in the bathroom and the paint on the bathroom door could do with an upgrade.

The staff are super friendly. If you needed anything they were quick to respond. Comfy beds and good size rooms. Good location and tram station within a few minutes which is direct to the airport.

Restaurant is silly expensive. 2 x hotdogs, 2 x cokes, a very average cheesecake and ice cream was £49. Our room had a terrible smell which I did make mention to reception. They did seem to sort it but it was back the next day. Our room also had patches of touch up paint on doors which was mismatched and looked like they needed to do a quick job.

We loved our room. It was spotless on arriving and had two ceiling to floor windows which let so much light in! It had air conditioning which worked great. The towels were fluffy and large. Telly signal was great no having to tune it in. Over all was a great room. The bar had a lovely ambience. Checking in online was also quick and easy.

The bar is quite expensive, a double whisky was nearly 20 pound! The cocktails were lovely though and atmosphere too. If you order food or drink downstairs to your room there is a 5 pound tray charge!!!!! 5 pound to carry a tray in a lift to a room! I was shocked by this, I've stayed in London hotels and never ever paid a 5 pound tray charge PER ROOM SERVICE USE. So if you use the service twice in an hour for drinks that's an extra ten pound for them just to get in the bleeding lift!

Good hotel in a good location. No thrills. We were happy there was an AC in the room. Nothing to complain about. But nothing special.

Filthy carpets in the corridor. I have never seen anything like that, it's like people deliberatly defecated and vomited all over the corridor carpet, and it's a long corridor (i am only talking about the 1st floor, didn't see the other corridors). Also, the doors to the rooms are EXTREMELY loud, every time someone on your floor shuts the door, it wakes you up. And there is no way to close it quietly - it just slams. And the soundproofing of the doors is non-existent. You hear every mouse fart, let alone a couple figthing and screaming in their room somewhere on your floor (we were lucky to have two Chinese ladies yelling at each other every morning and then one of them weeping in the lobby - three days straight!). Brrrrr.

perfect location . Tram service amazing from the airport , just a five minute walk to the hotel from the tram stop .Central location for restaurants , 20 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle. lovely clean hotel ,friendly staff and extremely comfy beds ..great value for money .The hotel breakfast was amazing as was the restaurant if you didn’t want to go out of an evening . We were there for a concert After the concert there was a queue for the tram back so we just walked, took us 20 minutes. I will be back ..no need to look elsewhere if you want somewhere nice near Murrayfield Stadium .

The staff were very helpful and cheerful. As first time visitors to Edinburgh, we were able to get around to visiting nice attractions as recommended by the staff, especially Anastasia who was particularly helpful.

The elevator was slow and outdated. It was a little cramped, fitting up only up to 4 people at a time. It also left very little space for going up the elevator with our travel bags. Aside from that the housekeeping would clean a little later than expected, so if we had an early day out and went back to the hotel to rest a bit, the room would yet to have been cleaned, but it wasn't that big of a deal.

The hotel was an excellent base for our visit to the Edinburgh Festival and benefited from being in a quiet location compared with the heart of the old town. We were able to walk to all our shows but there were also buses just a couple of minutes from the hotel if needed. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. There is a great Italian restaurant, Pomo, only two minutes from the hotel and other restaurants in the surrounding area. Although a new building is under construction opposite the hotel we were not disturbed by any noise as it is possibly at the fitting out stage.

Only complaint is that the carpets in the room and in the corridors are worn looking in some places and do not look very clean,

The hotel is in a good location. Some great restaurants and bars nearby. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. All the staff were very helpful. Overall it was OK.

The room wasn't serviced after the first night. The carpets in the corridor looked a bit grubby, and there were a lot of cups and bowls left out.
