Location of the hotel and staff were very good. Ms. Rachel at the Reception Desk was very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was very boring. We stayed for 5 days and had the same breakfast every single day. Not one change in the main breakfast items. Also it would be great if we can keep the pork food items separate from other food items so that Veg and Muslim guests can eat the food without any hesitation. The food we had for Lunch and Dinner at the hotel was very tasty. However, a little more variety in the menu would be good.

This hotel is in a brilliant location. Rooms were lovely and bathroom stunning. All the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming but a special mention to Reema at reception, Megan in the bar/restaurant and Lucia also working in the restaurant during breakfast. They took time to find out how our day went and remembered little bits of information that we had shared and followed up. They also gave us excellent suggestions on what to do and where to eat in Edinburgh. Exceptional guest relations from these 3 ladies. Thank you. Breakfast was absolutely incredible and I must mention the coffee that was served. Truly delicious. Really really good. We did eat a few times in the restaurant in the evening and I cannot fault the food or service.

A few areas of improvement - rooms were very dusty even though Housekeeping serviced the room. We asked for a safe to be fixed 3 times however it was never followed up on and never repaired. We misplaced an item of clothing and asked if it was accidentally mixed up with the laundry however no one got back to us. This is in no way impacted our stay and would highly recommend this Hotel if you are staying in Edinburgh. The excellent friendly service and comfortable rooms far outweigh the minor areas of concern. When we visit again, this will definitely be our go to hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I was very happy with my stay at Voco hotel in Edinburgh. The hotel was very nice. The staff was amazing, very helpful, and kind (especially the Czech guy at the reception!). The hotel has a good location, not in the center but not far from it and close to the Haymarket train station and bus stop (we've been to Edi before so we knew what to expect). But there are no bars right around the hotel so it was calm there. The breakfast was very good, you have all kinds of different options - savory (pastries, cheeses, hams, and salami, sweet (yogurts with nuts, dried fruit, müsli, muffins, croissants, etc.), baked/boiled/fried (eggs, bacon, haggis! etc). You have a big option of drinks (coffees, teas, juices, and also some "lemonades" or "smoothies"). It was the same every day but because there are so many options it's not a problem at all. We were three people, so in the room, there was a double room and a convertible sofa, so the room was a little bit small, but it was manageable. The sofa might be too soft for someone but that's a personal preference. There was a fridge, and cattle, and they gave us free water and coffee and tea every day. The room and hotel are clean and look quite "luxurious". I do recommend this hotel, I'd even come back there if I had a chance.

The first day we had a problem with the heating, and actually, the air conditioning was on instead of the heating. So be careful about that, if you don't know how to work it out, rather ask at the reception because we were freezing the first night. You must switch a button right on the air conditioning (not just on the display). Another thing to keep in my is, that there is not a "normal" door into the bathroom, but there is a "glass" door that you can't shut (there is a gap on all sides) which means other people can hear what you're doing there (or you can wake them up). If you are in a marriage for 30 years, it is ok, but if you are with your partner for a few months I would not recommend it. Last small detail: the water in the shower could be warmer.

Beautiful staff, friendly and efficient. Great check in, fantastic choices for breakfast and the breakfast manager and her staff were super helpful too. The room was lovely, very clean and comfortable and housekeeping was A1 👍

The evening menu was quite limited and portions were small. Also when I order extras such as a side salad I expect to get a bit more than a bit of lettuce with 2 baby tomatoes and 1 slice of cucumber!!! The bar lacked atmosphere so we ended up going down town some nights even though we would have preferred to stay in the hotel. A bit of music or maybe some piano playing would be an idea. Even a fun table quiz? That said we really enjoyed our time in your beautiful hotel and hope to return again very soon. Thanks for everything and our compliments to all on a job well done 👏

Great hotel with super nice stuff ! The hotel was very clean, our room as well, breakfast delicious, bed comfortable, room spacious, location very quiet, everything as on the photos, so I definitely recommend. The price of the hotel is a bit higher than usual for us (thats of course very individual opinion), but it was worth all the money - we were staying 6 days. Thank you so much :)

One small, but kind of important detail - the door to bathroom is a glass door so it is not possible to close it fully and privacy is not a 100%, but still fine.

Very central location Reception staff very helpful and friendly we were accommodated with an earlier check in time which was very much appreciated. On check out our luggage was stored by the reception staff until our departure this is a great service. Deluxe room are compact but have a good size TV, very comfortable bed, shower very good quality, shower gel, shampoo and hair conditioner are all included in the bathroom. Our room had a street view.

The only let down was the breakfast. We had breakfast on one morning it was a very chaotic buffet style breakfast had to wait on some of the hot breakfast items to be replenished, bacon was poor quality and some of the hot breakfast buffet was actually cold. There was very little fresh fruit salad in the bowl. Expensive breakfast for what we received

The Voco Edinburgh Haymarket hotel is a short walking distance from the Haymarket Tram and train station. Great location to get to the old Town city center of Edinburgh - within 10-15 min walk assuming you are good at following a map and can find the street names on the buildings. The staff is very friendly. Loved having a managed sit down area for breakfast. Very good selection of breakfast foods - both hot and cold. Loved having all the toiletries in large containers. You don't need to bring your own. Very comfortable room.

Had a hard time locating hotel on street because you can't see the signage except if you approach it from a certain direction. If you walk from Haymarket station you won't see the signage. They need to put up signage at walking level and on all sides of the building.

the Hotel was close to all tourist attractions/Trams and buses it was clean and very friendly staff . food was excellent

The only thing I was concerned about was, at 2.30am some one entered our room and left quickly again . when I raised my concern the next morning. a member of staff took on my concern and said they would check the cameras . ? That evening I again raised my concern . they appeared as if I hasn’t raised it in the am. however this member of staff came back to advise it was the night manager who entered our room . the computer system was down he was looking for a bed settle and couldn’t see that our room was booked out on the system . acceptable but at 2.30 am .

Friendly and welcoming staff. Room and all areas of the hotel very clean. Breakfast very good with plenty of choice. Good location for Haymarket train station and Murray field stadium, and about a 20 minute walk to Royal Mile.

Glass toilet door in the room although it is frosted glass just doesn't feel private. Phoned to book a table for dinner at 7.30pm in the restaurant when we arrived we were told kitchen was closing in 30 minutes and so starters and main course served at same time and no offer of dessert or coffee, hotel website states open until 10pm , early closing not mentioned when we called to book.
