We visited this hotel with our two granddaughters ages 12 and 14. The location, breakfast, cleanly, staff, and the swimming pool were all perfect. We all went for a swim every night.,

The only thing I didn’t like was the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. We all had to walk down several flights of stairs and stand in the cold. It was not the hotels fault the alarm went off in the middle of the night. However there should have been employee personnel in the alley with us telling reassuring and telling us what was happening. There was plenty of security people with us, but we needed more information.

I loved my room. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, the room spacious with everything one could need, and the city view was fabulous.. I had driven for 6 hours to take my daughter to university, helped her carry all her stuff up flights of stairs, in the heat, and I have never been more thankful to turn up and have a shower in a beautiful hotel. I enjoyed my drinks from the bar and my light tea in the restaurant. All the staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. Thank you so much. I loved my stay with you and will be back.

This is to management. To be fair to the staff, I think you need at least one more member of staff serving on the bar. Bar service is crucial, of course, in a hotel like yours. There are enough staff for quiet times but not for very busy. Surely you have to cater for that! I thought they were working calmly and efficiently but when you are getting groups of orders for cocktails you need the staff to deal with that!

Although we booked too late to get connecting rooms (our original booking had been cancelled by the host) the hotel had given us rooms fairly close to each other. The rooms were spacious with seating areas. It was very clean. The bathroom had nice products available and a good magnifying mirror. There was a coffee machine (we didn't try it) and tea making facilities. The hotel is in a very central location with most of the main tourist attractions within walking distance. It is a short walk to Waverley station and also to where the open top tour buses leave from on Waterloo Place. Breakfast was lovely with a great selection to choose from and also a little menu to pick from with things like porridge, waffles and omelettes on it. There was a pillow menu and you could ask for the bed to be changed too apparently although we didn't use this service. The bed was very soft. We looked at the spa area and the pool looked lovely however we didn't find time to try it on this visit.

There was a cigarette smoke smell in one of the rooms which we reported however nothing happened to rectify this which was disappointing. Guests can't open the window themselves. The lighting seemed a bit erratic. The lights above the seating area only worked on our last evening.

Location is extremely convenient, only minutes away from all the restaurants and sightseeings we booked. I can't compliment enough about the location. Breakfast quality is not bad, the food actually was tasty. We booked a suite, it was spacious, not only we had beds but also sofa for sitting area. They prepared two roller bed for my kids instead of using the sofa as sofa bed like most hotel do, this is actually a good arrangement.

Pictures of the view of the room is misleading on hotel.com. I booked this room specifically due to the view I saw on the pictures of hotel.com and the description of the room. I was expecting a city view on high level but was given a 1st floor instead.

It was my first time to stay in Radisson in Edinburgh, but I have always been a fan since we stayed in one of their hotels in York. The overall experience was amazing - from booking, to the days leading on to our stay, and the actual time we spent there. Staff had been so helpful and pleasant, and since I have let them know that it was my husband's birthday, we had a nice surprise coming in to our room on check in! It was the icing on top of the cake for my husband's 40th birthday! We are so grateful for your hospitality! For my detailed review: We stayed at room 547. The room was kept clean and smelled incredible! They decorated it with a few balloons, birthday treats and a birthday card as well! The bed was large and spacious, and made impeccably. We were offered earplugs and complimentary water bottles. Facilities included in the room was a large television, a safe, ironing board and iron, and a hair dryer (that was tiny but mighty!) Airconditioning was great - it helped cool us down from the very hot weather on the day of check in! The bathroom as well was kept very clean, with complimentary toiletries and hygiene kits incase we forgot something (which we did, and I'm glad they were there for us!) Towels were large (not the usual sizes usually offered in some hotels) and fluffy. I enjoyed a long bath as well in the huge bath tub! Breakfast was at Level -1. The lady at the counter ushered us to our seats and oriented us about the breakfast buffet. (Which is quite pleasant, as I remembered when we stayed at the one in York, the pandemic was still easing off and the buffets were not in operation.) They offered a variety of hot and cold options for breakfast, and even ala-carte ones if we wanted. There was a side where they offered options for kids and basically everything essential to cater to every palette. I especially enjoyed the bread selection with the jams!

Nothing! Everything was absolutely amazing!

amazing location - the reception area was de led with Easter de orations and flowers and looked lovely !

Our meal - Easter special roast - half a carrot cut in 2 - half a potato cut in 2 - 1 broccoli spear - a frozen ( obs cooked) yorkshire pud and two slices of beef . That was 16.99 - I asked for some more veg and the chef sent up a teaplate with the same amount again - for 2 people. After I complained to the Restaurant Manager he offered a 20% discount 😳. I refused and took it to the Duty Hotel Manager who was as equally appalled and removed the whole of our Restaurant bill from the room. This was appropriately dealt with by the Hotel Manager, who was polite and showed his regret for the poor experience . We did not bother with breakfast the next day as had lost confidence in the restaurant - shame as it was the only thing that let down what was a lovely stay.

Very central location. Plenty of car parking although not free. Nice room. Lovely hotel. Could check in online before arrived. Strawberry pina colada's nice.

Shower gel dispenser broke. Booked a taxi with reception with 2hrs advance notice but taxi never arrived...when you pay over £500 for 1n stay you'd think this would include breakfast.....very poor. Not worth £500 for 1n though just because beyonce live in Edinburgh......hotels take advantage of these scenarios. £15 parking expensive too for 1n stay....remember to validate parking ticket on check out or you'll get charged £30 for 24 hrs!

Location is perfect. The bathroom counter top is large enough to fit all toiletries. The glass shower divider wasn't great at keeping water off the floor. Blackout curtains great. No weird hotel room smells from cleaning products etc. Bed was comfortable. Room was very quiet and clean - thank you! Perfect stay.

Minor issue- We left a shirt in the closet . I don't really understand why hotel administration can't just pop it in an envelope and mail it to me but we are told we need to hire a courier to pick it up etc. A little too complicated for an ordinary shirt.

Convenience is great, because the hotel is right on the Royal Mile. The outside of the building looks like it fits in. The breakfast is very good.

I booked two beds, never got them, only one bed, at the time of booking hotel that was more expensive, was to get the two beds and the location convenience. Got the the location convenience, but not the room I booked, with two beds, instead I got one bed. No cups, tea or coffee, hot chocolate or creamers provided to go with water heating heating kettle. Why not?

The location is perfect. It's right on the Royal Mile. A few minutes walk to one side gets you to Edinburgh castle and a few minutes to another gets you to the base of Arthur's Seat. The staff were professional. The room was very clean and spacious. The water pressure in the shower was okay. The breakfast was delicious. The view of Arthur's seat from my room was pretty awesome.

The windows could have been a bit more unobstructed to provide a better view of Arthur's Seat. Some more breakfast options would have been nice.
