Hotel is in a great location, close to everything. Staff are lovely. Rooms are clean.

Reception could do with a revamp it had a table with 2 laptops. Two lads on Reception had poor English(though lovely), dealing with 3 customers at the same time each,which left them in a muddle. I was given early check in, but on entertaining the room , was greated by 2 guests.very embarrassing for all. Our shower had no pressure and only 2 bath towels provided. Not even a hand towel.

The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were bright and clean and the television had lots of channels, good for when the rain kicked in! We loved that we could fill our water bottles at reception and top up on milk and teas etc, a really nice touch. Staff were great and so supportive when we had any issues, fabulous customer service! Location is great too, close to everything you could need.

It would be great if there was a small fridge in the room. The bar downstairs was very noisy (a Friday night), not something the hotel could control, but they were extremely helpful and we were able to move to a different room which was much quieter.

The hotel is great, the two elevators worked great, the air conditioner worked great, the staff was available and solved any problem, the shower was comfortable and clean, the design is modern, the location of the hotel was perfect, storage of belongings is excellently managed, in a locked room with a number for each bag, there is something very generous The way everything is managed - for example, there is a cooler in the lobby with filtered water that you can fill, and there is unlimited coffee and milk in the lobby that you can take to the room, it gives a very good feeling, the staff at the reception, young, light and dynamic, to sum up a very positive experience.

Very good location and easy to get to from the airport and train station. The breakfast was great, with a good selection of food. They do a good amount of gluten free food and if you ask they will do gluten free bread. Rooms are a good size and having stayed here twice I've found it to be a quite hotel, even enough it's on a main room and so close to nightclubs and bars. The staff are great and will make sure they are able to help and do as much as they can to make you happy.

The lifts, one was broken and the other had no idea where is was going. Press up and you get on and go down then up past your floor then down onto every floor with no one there. Thankfully I was not on a high floor so used the stairs and got to the ground floor before the lift.

Checking in was smooth, room was basic but served it’s purpose, was quiet, and everything worked. Breakfast was GREAT! Great value if what you need is a basis hotel room in the middle of everything

We had never before visited Edinburgh and there were a lot of options for lodging. This hotel has a great location if arriving by train and so so close to the Royal Mile which made it easy to visit a lot of the tourist spots. Check in was quick and easy. Staff was helpful with our questions about the local area and arranged for our taxi to the airport. We didn't have the breakfast as there were so many options we wanted to try nearby (and a Costa Coffee right next door). Rooms were very new and the entire facility was clean.

This hotel has an excellent location. My room was a good size and the buffet breakfasts were delicious.

What I disliked the most was having to walk right through the dining room when I arrived with my luggage in full view of the other guests and each time I went out and came in. I would stay at the hotel again but only if I could have a room on a different floor which avoided this. I also found my room cold with no instructions for adjusting the thermostat and was unable to do so.

Location was fantastic especially for the Fringe venues. Breakfast was very good. Beds were very comfortable Left luggage facilities

The dust in the room was awful. When I pulled my suitcase out from under the bed where I’d stored it there was dust and cobwebs all over. Mentioned this on checkout but she wasn’t apologetic. Toilet was smelly and no way to get any fresh air into the room. Lots of noise from a nearby club at 4.30am was not funny

The hotel was very clean. Our room lovely & warm. There was everything you needed in the room for a comfy stay. There was a good choice at the breakfast buffet & we left feeling satisfied & set up for the day. My wife is dairy intolerant vegetarian & managed well with oat & soya milk being available along with the food choices. The bar was cozy. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. Thank You!

The reception area really needs a spruce up! It looks like am emergency desk/area in a village hall and not a permanent reception area in a hotel! The flooring in our room needs replacing. The laminate was degrading and damaged.

This hotel is always great to stay in. We have stayed previously just ourselves, but this time my mother in law was with us and we were showing her the sights and Christmas Market in Edinburgh - they are from Switzerland, I'm from Glasgow. I love the ease of check in and love the fact that you can store your luggage before and after your stay so you can go and sightsee before leaving the city. This is the second time my fiance and I have stayed here while visiting Edinburgh. It's friendly, value for money and excellently located for visiting all the sights of Edinburgh! The rooms were spacisous, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom is always a bit strange with it being a pod almost, but it was clean and bright and the shower is powerful.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like about the stay really. Our breakfast table felt a little isolated, as there were 3 of us. It felt like we were in a corridor but other than that it was lovely.
