On arrival receptionist had us booked in very quickly even though she was busy. All with a smile. Food ordered from the bar hot and tasty. Breakfast - always ample available and good choice of things Room - could do with a bit of TLC but was clean and tidy - housekeeping team excellent Easy to get to hotel from the M5 Overall - this is our second visit and won't be our last.

We chose to eat in the restaurant on Sun eve. Table booked for 7.15pm. We were taken to our table but no sign of our order for food or drinks being taken for nearly 45 mins. Not very busy. When our food arrived over an hour after we had sat down the chips were cold -nearly as cold as outside. The waiter quickly returned with some fresh hot chips but 80 mins to wait for a meal is not acceptable. We wish we had ordered from the bar as it is the same menu.

Absolutely lovely! Great location; my partner was in awe of the bed! Super size and comfortable. Had an amazing Valentine weekend, pool and spa were fabulous I would suggest a few extra tea bags in the room however breakfast in bed was incredible with options exceeding our expectations! Despite reading previous reviews we were very thankful to all staff over the counter and through email for their continued support and communication on the build up to our stay. They were absolutely fantastic. We will be returning and are truly greatful for everything you really made our weekend one to remember. My partner really does recommend people to stay here, he's a comfort bug and found he didn't wish to leave! ❤️

Bed was really comfy, shower fab, loved our room. Whole hotel was very clean and comfortable. Food was lovely, breakfast was best we had had for a long time. We had a very relaxed stay.

Staffing was poor in the restaurant/bar. There appeared to be no-one in charge, we saw lots of guests stood waiting to be greated at entrance to restaurant for more than 15 minutes, while staff walked past and ignored them. This spoilt the experience in the restaurant, a restaurant manager, greeting guests and managing the restaurant would have made such a difference. We were actively discouraged from eating in the bar on Saturday night by a member of staff as she said it would be very busy, we still went and it was fine, plenty of tables.

The rooms themselves are basic but nice - think Premier Inn. Admittedly we stayed in the cheapest room so I can't say for the more expensive options. I would have liked plug sockets literally anywhere near the bed and a few more of them. Otherwise very good. The hotel itself is lovely, in a really beautiful spot with facilities up the wazoo. Staff were a bit of a mixed bag. The lady at reception on arrival couldn't care less and happily watched my struggle off with my many bags. Second day recptionist was very friendly though. In the restaurant, probably don't have a "wait here to be seated" sign and then not keep an eye on it. Every time I looked over there was a line several people deep, and we ourselves stood there for at least 10 minutes before someone came over and asked what we were doing(!). It wasn't as if they were busy either there were maybe 6 people in the large restaurant. The food menu in the restaurant is pretty basic but cooked well (actually the pizza was spectacular). The breakfast on the other hand, while expensive, was very nice indeed. If I was in the area again I would come back, but probably opt for a better room and maybe pop out for dinner.

This was my 3rd visit as the lodges are such a good retreat with woodland and golfing views. Excellently placed. A lot more spacious than look on photos. Very large kitchen with everything provided for cooking if desired. Great having a bath. Location on the common fantastic for walks. Can even walk to the cliffs if you're a seasoned walker!

Although there are 4 bedrooms for 8 people, I wouldn't like to go with more than one other couple or my own kids as it would fill the lovely lounge and L shaped sofa but price would work out very good value. A log burner or electric fake fireplace would perfect it although warms up very quickly.

Room was very nice could do with curtains as the light from the courtyard shone past the roller blinds/ Would like to see more grab rails in pool and changing areas, helpful when you are older, but still very nice. Food was of good quality, but see below.

The restaurant in the Courtyard was nice and the food was good value, however the service was appalling. We arrived and joined the queue, we waited and waited. by now there were three staff behind the bar, but only serving one person. I asked why this was, and was told it was because they only had one till? The speed of service was so slow we had booked for 6.30 and we did not get are sweet until 8.45. Everyone was moaning and one person was shouting. One of the staff was just walking around, leaving the other two to cover all the tables. There seemed a lack of training. Breakfast did not go any better. I could go on but I think this is enough for you to get on with.

We loved Woodbury Park. Staff were welcoming and friendly, the space feels good and the family room was a really good size. Beds are comfortable and everything beautifully clean. Bed linen is top quality. Swimming pool is a good size and times to swim were great for us with our 14 year old. Evening meal in the bar restaurant was very nice; Its perhaps a bit overpriced at £17 for burger and chips. We loved that we could swim after our check out. All of the staff at reception and restaurant were helpful and friendly.

I thought the quality of the breakfast let things down. Sausages were cheap so I didn't select these, scrambled eggs were inedible, bacon swimming in oil and the cereal option was just Kellogs travel boxes. There wasn't anything special about breakfast; quite a contrast to our stay.

The three course meal and the breakfast were excellent. Hardworking and friendly staff. Good size room (deluxe), with a powerful shower (over bath). Very good changing facilities for the swimming pool and spa. We had a package offer deal that included our meals so it was very good value. If we had been able to stay longer then we would’ve used the spa again the next day - it was very good that the facilities are included for use before and after checkout time. Lovely Elemis shampoo and conditioner to use in the room. There was even shampoo/body wash in the showers in the changing rooms for the pool. Nice tea and coffee in the room also. The location was great with free parking on site. It wasn’t very busy when we went so I’m not sure what it would be like with lots of guests. Very happy with our stay.

Bed and pillows were hard so for us that wasn’t comfortable (maybe fine for someone else!) Bedroom carpet could do with replacing. Rooms not very soundproof.

The double room was spacious. Bed was comfortable and linen/towels were clean. Nice view. Internal room (twin) was ok, but a shame there is no nature light as the window faces inside the building overlooking the bar. Staff were overall friendly. Check in and check out was very efficient. Leisure facilities were very good. Pool was a lovely temperature. Gym was clean. Breakfast had a decent range of food and the staff were helpful with requests. Good to have the self service hot drinks. The setting is lovely and the grounds were really well kept.

The evening menu was limited. Strange that you can have the full menu in what was classed as the restaurant area and also the bar area, but could only order the pizza menu in the bar. The two areas are literally side by side and you could sit anywhere. You had to order at the bar for either area and the same team delivered the food. The venue would sell more pizza if this menu was also available in the restaurant. The spirits range was very limited and the back bar looked empty.

Staff were welcoming and room was ready when we arrived. The room was clean and nicely prepared with tea, coffee and biscuits etc. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. We had a small issue with our bath plug being stuck which was promptly fixed as soon as i reported it. The food in the golf clubhouse was fantastic and well priced. The pool was good, and useful that towels were provided.

The stairs and hallways were a little wornout in appearance. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was incredibly expensive in comparison with other hotels we have stayed in, and the selection was not what we would expect for the price. After the breakfast on the first morning we ate all our meals at the golf clubhouse instead.
