Great location, ample parking, friendly, welcoming and hospitable staff. Fantastic food (we had an evening meal there on the first evening which was absolutely excellent) and breakfast was great too. The hotel is located in a small village with a high street of a few amenities, including a bus service to Canterbury, and is located between Canterbury and Faversham. Our Room (Room 7) was lovely, cosy and comfortable. The White Company toiletries and the homemade shortbread were a lovely touch. All in all, a great stay and would happily return!

We'd been recommended a local taxi company by a staff member to pick us up and collect us from an event and unfortunately our experience with them was not great overall, so this was disappointing, but out of the control of the hotel. Our room did run alongside a main street through the village, which is quite busy throughout the day and also the night, however, the staff had thought of everything and included earplugs in the rooms, which were appreciated for a comfortable night's stay

THE STAFF AT THIS HOTEL WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL COULD NOT FAULT THEM BREAKFAST WAS GOOD AND YOU CHOOSE FROM A STANDARD MENU. SHOWER HAD LOVELY HOT WATER AND ROOM WAS OF GOOD SIZE. Location was good for what we wanted.

ALTHOUGH THE STAFF WERE EXCELLENT YOU DID WAIT A LONG TIME FOR YOUR BREAKFAST BUT OK WHEN ARRIVED. STAFF WERE FLAT OUT AND IF I SAID COUPLE OF THINGS, WOULD BE WE ASKED FOR A COUPLE OF THINGS DURING BREAKFAST, WE DIDN'T HAVE, BUT THIS WAS BECAUSE THEY WERE VERY BUSY. ON ARRIVEL WE WERE TOLD THEY. HAD NOT RECEIVED OUR PAYMENT BUT THAT WAS BETWEEN BOOKING.COM AND THE HOTEL SO NOT THE THE BEST GREETING BUT SAYING THAT THESE THINGS HAPPEN, IT WAS SOON SORTED BY THE HOTEL. I WOULD GIVE THE. STAFF 10 OUT OF 10 THEY WERE VERY GOOD.

The hotel was immaculate, staff were friendly and very helpful throughout, the room was small and charming, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower was fab! We enjoyed lunch, the menu had a good choice of fresh food and great portion sizes. We had missed breakfast and Natalie, who I believe was the owner of the hotel kindly made us tea and some toast before we left.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like about this hotel.

Not too far from Canterbury and has excellent parking. The room was lovely - very clean and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and linens. Loved the footed tub! Breakfast was delicious! The building has a wonderful history- including being mentioned in Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales.

It was a bit noisy as you can hear your neighbours. However, the hotel is very upfront about this and provides ear plugs if you want them. I didn’t find it was a problem after I went to bed.

There is so much to love about this property! The attention to detail is really to be admired. We were attending a wedding close by and they ensured our room would be ready to check in slightly early so we could enjoy the night with out a worry. I was instantly made to feel welcome and was pleasantly surprised by all the little touches which have clearly been given a lot of thought. The coffee, shortbread, chocolates, dyson fan and white company products just elevated an already comfortable experience. I only wish we were there for longer!

Such a lovely pub and hotel! You could tell it had been recently refurbished and had so many nice small touches, including a Dyson fan, kitchen aid kettle, & lovely white company soap/shampoo/conditioner. The bed was very comfy and the room was spacious. The staff were also so friendly and welcoming!

Can’t think of anything wrong with it. The room and bathroom were spotless.

A lovely, friendly welcome from the attentive staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Good food, particularly the breakfast which was lovely with good, local produce. Dinner portions were generous and good value.

We could not fault our stay. No negative comments at all. This was our second stay and we hope to re-visit.

Stayed for our anniversary and had dinner. Young ladies waiting table in the restaurant looked after us really well. Found a quiet table and were very attentive. Food - dinner and breakfast was excellent - b'fast freshly cooked. Room was more than adequate and owners were very friendly. Bar and restaurant area spacious.

Natalie & Andy where lovely hosts and very friendly staff making you feel very welcome . The food was fresh and excellent . The Room was very clean, warm and comfortable . Very good parking facilities and a close 10-15 minute drive from Canterbury .

It is a 15th century building so in some bedrooms the sound proofing is affected when busy .

lack of WIFI, the room had no WIFI even though the router was outside our door we still had no signal. The TV has great apps like netflix etc but they rely on the internet which we didnt have.
