3 night weekend stay as guests of a wedding. Whole venue was amazing and our woodland hut was lovely. Easy check-in and out. Service in the Cowshed was fantastic on the Sunday evening, many thanks to Nick for looking after us!

Service in the Farm shop and Stable bar was very erratic and disjointed over the 5 occasions during the weekend we visited them. Staff were trying hard but seemed to lack training/knowledge and the management of the outlets only seemed to compound the issue. As someone who also manages hospitality outlets myself it was a little disappointing but entirely forgivable in such beautiful surroundings

The "Log Cabin" we booked was lovely and so amazingly well designed with almost every amenity one could wish for, all so beautifully fitted into that tiny, but oh so cute and cosy space. The bed was brill and the room toasty at night. Amazing deck but sadly the short time we spent at Tewinbury precluded us using it more than for my morning cuppa. Breakfast was lovely but hurried, as we got going pretty late.

Probably one or two staff at breakfast would have made things amazing! PS: an Oak by the side of the cabin occupied by our friends lost a LARGE Branch during the night!!! Luckily it fell just brushing their cabin roof and breaking a step on the stairs upto the deck. It made very loud noise which also woke us with a start, as it almost sounded as though something had fallen on the roof of ours. Our friends were lucky, but then this is the price sometimes of being in the countryside!

The rooms are spacious and well appointed with a few extras that other establishments don’t always provide eg real milk and a fridge, a safe, plus an ironing board and iron. Also apart from the rooms the dining and bar facilities are very good. Overall a really great property.

My only complaint would be that the restaurant and bar automatically add in a service charge so if you don’t want to tip you need to request that and it has to be put through again. Puts the customer in an awkward situation - tipping should be at customer discretion and not presumed. I had it deleted on principle.

I stayed for a wedding also at the hotel so it was lovely to be able to go back and freshen up late afternoon.

The breakfast was a real disappointment as my husband had cooked breakfast first and I had fruit first but by the time I was ready the sausages, bacon and egg had all gone. I was happy to wait as completely understand however the eggs then took another 10mins and came on a plate on their own. By this point I had had enough and didn't want anything. Things happen and have worked in the industry myself but it was the lack of communication from the staff that was the problem xx

Stunning location and close enough to Paradise Park which is where we were going the following day. The staff were amazingly friendly and super helpful. The room was clean and modern and had everything you need - including ‘bedtime milk’ for the kids which was a great touch when you have kids who love milk! The grounds were expansive and had plenty of places to explore including a little park for the kids and plenty of walks. The restaurant was beautiful and we had an evening meal in the Cowshed. A special mention to the lady who served us as we had kids asking for chips and beans and our request was accommodated, she was also helpful in advising on the local area and our little boy said how lovely she was too (I don’t have her name but we had a 6pm reservation!)

The food in the Cowshed wasn’t amazing for the money, the pork was quite tough and the steak wasn’t great. The triple cooked chips were disappointing and some were quite hard and had a pre-cooked taste about them. Breakfast was okay but we were disappointed with having to pay separate after what we paid for our room for a night. We had seen pancakes (which our little boy loves), on photos on the website but when we asked about getting pancakes for breakfast this was not an option. I think in terms of kids food there needs to be some more options (especially picky kids!) and then it would have been great. The staff in the restaurant were faultless and we had a lovely stay all round.

The cutest little hut, with a well thought out gorgeous interior. Everything you could need for a well needed night away, with a lovely view over the lake. A super comfy bed for the best nights sleep, and the biggest bath I've ever seen for the best bubble bath.

Lack of information of what there was to do within the area. Wasn't sure if mini bar was included as there was no price list. Smart TVs which didn't work. Room booked through booking.com but didn't have breakfast included, disappointed as same price to book through the companies website and would have got breakfast included - wouldn't book through booking.com again for this reason!

Really great resturant for dinner and breakfast, amazing dinner in the Cowshed. Very helpful staff. Quirky place with interesting accomadation albeit not optimal for my needs this time, but I would certainly return.

Ignorance on my part, I hadn't appreciated how far away from the main site the shepards huts were. I had booked late and these were the only available accomadation. Great quality accomadation but as far from the main site WiFi wasn't good, not optimal for working or getting to and from the main facilities for a business trip.

Excellent stay, we loved the privacy of the woodland hut - it was easy to forget there were other people around! We only stayed for 2 nights and the firewood was replaced/the log-burner was cleaned out daily. The hut and all the surrounding facilities were so clean! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The entrance and parking on site were great - there are even check-in parking spaces and private parking for the woodland huts. Walks around the grounds are lovely. The Stable Bar was a lovely place to sit and relax in the sun (with incredible pizza!).

The menus for The Farm Shop, Cowshed and the buffet breakfast (that was included in our booking) weren't the best for vegetarians; with only toast/mini pastries to offer at breakfast. We didn't eat much at breakfast on the first day and skipped it the second morning because there was not much on offer. Gutted the cinema room wasn't reopened for our stay but hopefully, we'll be back in the future to check it out then! Just a couple of suggestions for the woodland huts - a light above the dressing table mirror would be good as it was fairly dark in the corner whilst getting ready. There were no blinds in the bathroom for privacy - we were at the end of the row so footfall on the path behind is minimal but I would have been conscious of this if we were in one of the first 2 huts.

The second time I've stayed at this hotel and was just as amazing as I had remembered. Staff went above and beyond for us, let us into our room a little early before we had to go to a nearby festival. The beds are comfy, rooms very clean and the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. We had some time to kill the next morning so we had a wonderful time exploring the huge site, seeing the animals and lakes.

The twin rooms we booked were zip and link beds but hadn't been split so depsite the beds being really big, it would have been nice to of had the beds split so there was still some distance.

The location was easy to find & perfect for going to the event we had tickets for. The rooms were beautifully appointed and are glazed in such a way that none of the music from the wedding party could be heard. There is ample parking including a dedicated area for EV charging. The staff very very polite and helpful. The breakfast was included and was all fresh and nicely cooked in a buffet style so you could have what ever you liked. Everything was clean and well maintained. I also liked you could go for a walk in the grounds/ local footpaths and see the various animals.

Just a minor issue with the EV chargers. The system meant that I was unable to confirm my car had begun charging overnight. Resulted in me having to reconnect in the am which delayed our departure. Having discuss it with the staff think it’s an issue that will be resolved so certainly would not stop me wishing to stay in the future.
